It's important to note that its explosion does shadow damage as well, so that can be a really good synergy. Also, THE PRIORITY AFFIX SYSTEM HAS BEEN CHANGED/REMOVED!! For all intents and purposes, for now you should treat all stat re-rolls as totally random. I don't know if there's any rhyme or reason to the system at the moment. ☆☆ In my theory-crafting/play-testing process I tested so many combinations of aspects, and at one point I had a few more that relied on Lucky Hit Chance than I ended up with. Taking another look at this, I would probably consider replacing one or two Lucky Hit Chance stats with + Max Life instead.
why do you still have lucky hit chance on the skill tree, when you don't use it for anything? i would change it so that those points go to haste on the same cluster. it's just movement speed at high energy and attack speed at low energy. so you can spam puncture to regen energy.
Brill guide, Veritas. I love all your vids (subscribed) and this is my first comment - it took me long enough! I have a question. I've been loving Barber and I play something quite similar to yours. As mentioned in your video, i (think) I'm having a problem with keeping the enemies Vulnerable due to puncture being a bit of an issue as you said. I do use shadow imbuement, mostly for the vulnerable after they exolode. I've invested a lot into vulnerable damage and just wondering if there's a way to keep up vulnerable long enough outside of my shadow explosion... Maybe some Aspect or something? In fights that are a little longer than the trash mobs (Elites, bosses, etc) I find that they are not vulnerable for most of the fight and I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of damage. I know I can sometimes proc vulnerable via puncture but because it's only 2 seconds, it isn't consistent or long enough. Sorry for the huge post. I just know if any one can have a solution to this, it's you 😊❤️
Update: I just swapped out shroud for Concealment. And "omg" what a difference it makes! Thanks so much Veritas! I've got shadow imbuement for trash mobs and then concealment for the amazing 6 second vuln uptime on beefy enemies and they now die twice as fast! 😊
i really like your build and set it up today, however shadow step doesn't function at all often let alone properly on a play station. i've played diablo since the first - albeit on my pops lap but still lol. and always on a computer so it was already quite frustrating playing it on ps then running into this really irked me. anywho, if you have the time what would you recommend to replace shadow step as it is null and void for a playstation. and tysm, genuinely best build video out there-i don't sub much but i subbed out of respect. ty
You're seriously wasting a hotbar spot by slotting in Dark Shroud. You should be using the Umbrous aspect on any defensive slot to get Dark Shroud for free on crits, you will easily max out shroud without needing it on the hotbar which will open you up to have Poison Trap to have the final imbuement active. Also, imho, Stolen Vigor aspect is amazing and makes Momentum the key passive to have in pushing very high tier for sustain and that allows me to use Combo Points which increase twisting blades dmg by a lot. You can remove the Surprise aspect as you have a Heart that basically does that for free instead of timing your evades all the time. I used to run it but moved away from it and found it unnecessary as I have enough CC as it is, also I prefer the Shadow Decoy brutal heart that CCs and triggers the explosion from shadow imbuement
this is flat out the best instructional/ build video I've ever seen. you explained everything in a very concise manner and gave us options for everything. most of the other content creators sound like they are overly excited for no reason, which truly is so annoying. all of this gets a sub from me. please keep the build videos coming. it is most appreciated.

This was one of the most well done build guides. You covered leveling which most don't, acknowledge that finding gear with desired stats is almost impossible so how to do the alternatives, gave tips on how to play the build, and covered everything in clear detail. So many just show gear that nobody can get and don't explain how to level to the point you can get the 'required' gear that they are useless. This was exceptional.
would you be willing to publish this as a "build" and not on the planner. the planner is much more challenging to use imo - our daughter is struggling with clicking things that change it.
I love build guides that finish the build! This looks finished and compressive and worthy of trying out. I guarantee it’s worth it for you in repeat views. Rage gaming one’s although they always start fun and strong, are never finished and always stop about lvl50. Take this one to level 100 and you’ll get clicks for days. 100% the best guide I've seen. I've probably spent as much time trying to find a guide that I understand as I have playing the game. Trying to figure out the skills, proper gear with stat priority, and the paragon board, as well as skill rotation, was about to give me a brain aneurysm. Your guide is easy to follow and easy to understand, and I can't tell you enough how much a newbie like me appreciates that. Sometimes, when people get very good at something, it becomes very easy to see things as obvious, forgetting that this can be very confusing to someone like me who has very little experience. You are clearly very knowlegable and have a great talent for making this information easy to understand without going into overly complicated, long detailed reasons or dumbing it down. The bite sized chunks explained each section well before moving onto the next, which also made the video interesting. I'm definitely going with this build and you have definitly earned a new subscriber. Thank you!
I'm doing this right now using penitent greaves with cold and shadow in bunits. Packs of mobs just start exploding all over the screen. It's pretty damn fun.
Thx for that great Tutorial and your share of knowledge. With my char, lvl 50, blades are not flying around my char like in your Video. What am I doing wrong? Skilled exactly like you mentioned. Anyone got an idea?

Great build guide. Very comprehensive. I just switched to a poison trap twisting blades build, basically out of necessity to survive wt4 and its been good so far but this build better suits my play style and my paragon board is pretty much already set up this way (ran out of money on this build so haven't changed it yet). Im definitely gonna give this a go when I get all the gear I need. Im one of those that has issues finding the penitent greaves haha My eternal rogue didn't find any til about lvl 83 or so and I just hit 67 on seasonal so we will see how it goes. Thanks!
Great Guide! A Quick question: How do you apply the CHILL effect on enemies other than with the penitent Greaves? The Frostbitten aspect only applies frozen TO chilled enemies but wont apply chill by itself. Because otherwise the skill points in frigid finesse and the frostbitten aspect would be wasted until you find those boots?

Also just so everyone knows in the last update they removed priority rolls for enchanting so now its the same chance to roll any affix, so not as easy to get a crit ring... and the Barber has been updated to be the best overall for everyone now. They fixed the issues with things not working with it. AND even more importantly, I think you did a great job of not only telling me what to do but WHY. Im a lvl 84 RF/F rogue and have stayed away from TB because I tried it early on and didn't understand how it really worked. From watching your vid, I do now, and what's crazy is that skill is the perfect one to represent the rogue I was inspired by to make her ( Vin from Mistborn). Keep up the great work!
Ive been playing a altered version of this build I call the "Carpet Bomb" build with Raining arrows aspect and it melts through everything in site the constant down pour of arrows and damage numbers is the most satisfying thing ive ever seen.
New most satisfying and fun rogue build!? Man, I hope it’s not ANOTHER boring twisting blades build!………. 😑😑😑😑😑😑 Twisting blades is AMAZING damage, but it’s awkward to use, forces you to move a certain way, has a delay, and it’s range limited. You guys want a fun build, go rapid fire/flurry with frost imbuement, using penitent greaves and frostburn gloves. Tons of inputs, fast attacks, super flashy, chill/freezing everything, and HIGH aoe and single target damage close and far range. 😎🍻
I love this guide, but I struggled with it for a few weeks. I think I just wasn’t getting gear rolls optimized enough for it to be effective. I have since switched to Luciano’s Meta and have jumped up 20 NM levels. I’m still 87 and don’t know for sure why this wasn’t working for me-😢. Maybe I just need the trap crutch. More importantly, I am very impressed with the reasoned and thoughtful vids you have been posting on d4 and starfield. Thanks for your contributions, I look forward to the next one!
Haha I just don’t have it in me to level another to 100 again 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ it was fun… don’t get me wrong… but a build never feels complete until you’re at the max level… that’s when you really get to tweak it into perfection…. The road to 100 is just to long for a casual player like myself… still enjoyed my time with the game though… now it’s time for something else

Hi from France 😊 I personnal use double grenade/frost aspect with poison inbuement and i use also the skill (il don t remember the name in english) when you jump Black and trow suriken but those Who freeze everybody so it works à lot i just Wonder if it would be ok without de ice boot and just the "cold suriken" ? After trying a few builds on the Rogue, some of my own, some I followed from youtube, I was ready to give up on this class at 25 and go back to my Necromancer. With this build I'm tearing through dungeons and having fun again. Thank you
someone needs to give ya the rights for a primaguide not sure if those are still around and prolly irrelevant but the detail of explanation is the truth so MUCH APPRECIATED. never knew what would benefit at times but you even gave alternatives to everything and then some! just one question if ya do read this and able to answer it but all g if missed. what if you have sacred uniques at the time with a few other ones hehe not sure but since rarely so far i’m only 70 i have kept most of mine in assuming you just start using ancestral later on? if ya nailed this question i apologise cause i’m typing this 3/4 while video is play. Game kicked me whilst doing the paragon I'm lvl 84 and I can't get anywhere near the amount of paragon points you used I'm about 20 short. Has the game dcing lost me some points? I thought you were 85 so I should only be 4 points shy but I'm like 30 off
Will I still get the grenade extra damage if I don't equip it? Reason I ask with all skills it's 6 and when you added the smoke grenade skill that's 7. There's no space for that skill? I see why you added it 😂 answered my own question with the armor section. Thank for such a great video and detail,but easy!

I'm level 40 and just now started having trouble with my Rogue build, I think I may have fucked it up. I haven't played Diablo since Diablo 3 first dropped and this is a pretty different game as far as builds, I never was a "build master" I just enjoy the gameplay, I appreciate the help, I'll prob give this technique a test run, it's no big deal too reset my skill tree, I have plenty of gold for that, I'm more concerned about aspects, affixs and items and what to use too help my rogue, be the stronger, I can dish out DPS fine but I have very little healing power it feels like I'm always ducking and dodging and I can never really take more than a few close up hits from enemies before I need to use a potion or start dodging them but then that leaves me just basically fleeing. ATM i'm stuck on Tul Dulra, I know i can beat it bc I literally did beat it, and then my Playstation froze on me and I had to restart and for some reason the saving in this game is a little weird and it literally brought me all the way back to the start of the stronghold after I had just beaten it. It wasn't the game tho , it was my station, the harddrive was faulty and fucked had to return it for a new one.

Great video. I'm new to Diablo and felt really overwhelmed with what skills to pick / the playlists open to me. Basically used your same build for my 1st play through and im having a blast with my Rogue.
So this is a really fun nightmare build but just so as people are aware, this build is absolutely not for Lilith. I've matched the paragon board, and I've got most of the gear/specs, and she is still one-shotting me while I do very little damage to her. Max crits are around 3-7 million without rolling the perfect stats on all gear, and they don't happen often enough to get her health down.
Just curious did you ever do the more standard version of TV (such as from maxroll). That's what I'm doing now and just curious your opinion of that compared to this, if you had ever tried it. Thanks
