Seeing orisa, bastion and junkrat on gibraltar playing into rien, symm, mei rush makes it initially look like a gold game rather than an OWL one. And honestly I think thats kinda hype.
i agree because it’s the most fun way to play, as well as most entertaining to watch, but the problem comes from the fact it’s OWL and a competition to be first place. it’s still entertaining regardless though (imo)
Yeah, tell that to my enemies that insta lock sombra, orisa and Ana when I kill them once as doom... (they still lose most of the time but it isn't fun)😢

@Doople I think it shouldn't. The point of OWL is for the best of the best to compete. These are players that would smurf your average top500 lobby. This is where we see what happens when the best of the best competes and tries their best to win and nothing should change about the competitiveness of it
Backbone’s Sym was a key reason they were able to make it out of play-ins. Neither Vancouver nor Toronto had an answer to the tp engage and disengages. If you can destroy the TP you have an angle to win the fight by interrupting London’s rhythm but if you let London dictate the tempo then 9/10 the other team will lose. Its so entertaining to watch their comp as a T500 Sym, i hope they’re able to go far in the playoffs despite the new patch meta
They basically have hadi focus on rein and practice orissa and ram a bit, but they always play rush, so admiral and Landon have been able to improve their Lucio and bap to be one of the best Lucio bap combos in the league, and the 2 dps are very flexible players
Think they hit it on the head in this game. Much more entertaining to watch diverse comps rather than seeing the same comps over and over again. Games like this, where the commentators are excited, and the players are running their niche comps is so much fun. games like this could bring more attention and money to OWL. Next we just needs more trash talking and story telling between teams and everyone will be at the edge of their seat 😂
That mei play was insane! throwing it into the sky making them think the mei's ult got eaten even though no one on there team could have eaten mei's ult. Insane play.
Would love to know what you think on Spitfire, especially after their double win last night against Titans and Defiant! I have loved watching them master this comp.
I've just always been a Spitfire fan and they're definitely going to be the biggest joker card going into the Grand Finals. I'm honestly hoping we can go all the way. But it's going to be rough, because London has only been playing off-meta, a lot of teams aren't going to want to scrim London since scrimming against them only allows them to prepare against London and not against other teams. It's something we experienced with ODH while getting to the Overwatch League Summer Stage Play Ins in the East bracket. But one thing is for sure, every team is going to have some kind of back up plan ready for London, especially after their wins over teams who refused to adapt.
I got lucky seeing this game live! Thanks for reminding me how awesome this match was. But I think there was a big reason for teams breaking rosters at that time. Can't remember what though.
I really wish more players as a whole adopted this concept. Fuck meta. Fuck counter picking. The game is so much better for everyone when players just play what they have fun with instead. I’m proud to be a one trick and it’s always sad whenever I see the enemy just insta swap after I kill them one time. So lame.
i don't know why we're shocked. this comp was written literally day 1(even before, when 5v5 was first talked about) of OW2 as the best comp in the game if executed perfectly. when sf brought out bastion on attack they should've counter bastion'd over sym for high ground ; sparkr is the reactionary flex in this comp, he needs to be fast on swaps (i see that i wrote this before i saw the ending of the video where, in their last moments, they made this adjustment)

While the Korean commentator s are passionate, it’s frankly a turn off. No one reads subtitles and I can’t understand Korean. Another video that I abandoned 2 minutes in.
