Ooey Gooey Grub is a larva pattern that was created by Dave Hise in the mid 1990's. It has been a signature pattern for Orvis and Fulling Mill since the late 1990s. It was designed to mimic grubs, which are a favorite food of trout in many areas. The pattern is popular in New Zealand and effective globally.
