I loved W.I.T.C.H comics as a kid and I even had a special style guide magazine that was witch themed. I was reasing the magazine and the comics we had in our small library,read the ya books, watched the tv show...totally loved it! I feel like it was a big thing in Europe, not enough people talk about it. I was into both W.I.T.C.H and winx club, both were so good.

I was a Winx girlie and I think the only reason I wasn't just as obsessed with W.I.T.C.H was simply because it's main form of media was the magazine that my parents could not afford to get me. Yet, I do own two highly treasured issues of the magazine and two comic books, which I have read over and over! The abundance of colours and styles in those was iconic.

I think I actually watched W.I.T.C.H. more than Wynx club but as I grew up I just assumed people were talking about W.I.T.C.H. when they brought up Wynx lmao. I even had a little happy meal (?) toy of one of them and I remember being obsessed with their tights!

ahhh I LOVE THIS!!! I still regret so much having to "declutter my childhood stuff" and getting rid of all my WITCH magazines ;_;... I wish I still had them, I loved the art style (and the styling) so much! oh and now that you're showing Cardcaptor Sakura in the magical girls clips, I would love if it you did styling inspired by it! (also I feel like the vibes of CCS are kind of trendy somehow again??? Sandy Liang also often uses the sort of wing illustration similar to CCS and seems to put her in moodboards and stuff sometimes)

A very niche anime but a Shugo Chara lookbook would be amazing. Maybe just nostalgic magical girl series in general like Cardcaptor Sakura, Tokyo Mew Mew, Sailor Moon etc. I'm not sure if that's too close to cosplay but would love to see inspired looks from those series.

The comic books are even published here again now. But I must say that as a child I never fully realized how stylish those girls were! wow!!! In Europe w.i.t.c.h. was super popular, comics novels merch we had it all! Totally agree that it's SO underrated in terms of outfits and aesthetic, it's impressive just how many fits they drew the girls in, and they mostly all looked like something you'd actually find in real life. When you were talking about how Cornelia isn't the usual trope of blond girl fashionista, I instantly thought of another blond girl fashionista who doesn't fit that trope and it's Stacey from babysitters club which is a super long book series that I've not yet finished as well as having a movie and a live action TV series, and I just feel like it would be so cool if you did a fashion lookbook video for the babysitters club! I discovered W.I.T.C.H. At BLOCKBUSTER. Now that’s a real throwback. I always found the things like that, that weren’t really popular in my area I guess. I remember having a little figure of one of the girls though, from McDonald’s I think. And then it felt like a fever dream as I got older because no one knew what I was talking about 😂

Damn, I can't believe you actually did it, W.I.T.C.H. were my fashion icons growing up in central Europe and yeah, nobody ever talks about them. To this day they are a big inspo and I think you nailed it with this lookbook. I think one of the reasons I loved it so much, especially their fashion was it wasn't the hyper bright block colour pallet a lot of cartoons and kids shows used. Like I was such an annoying child I always wanted muted earth tones or more aged looking clothes, so I loved W.I.T.C.H. Also Cordelia was my favourite and I swear like half my wardrobe is long skirts or dresses and earth toned cardigans

speaking from Portugal here. Witch was pretty big here. We had access to the magazines, merchandising, dolls, costumes, etc. It always had a competition with winx, as it is a bit similar and (because of it's own production problems) it ran short on the television. And winx went on for like a billions seasons. So maybe that's why a lot of people don't mention it so much or don't remember it

If we're going with a magical girl theme then I'd absolutely die for a shugo chara lookbook! Another series (not even remotely close) I'd think would be interesting to see is criminal minds. I know it's not the most fashionista series but everythime I watch an episode I'm left thinking: "What exactly is the FBI dress code??"

I loved W.I.T.C.H. as a little nightmare. Honestly, may be a reason why my style looks like it does. (aka mess of anything & everything). And yeah, my fav was Hay Lin. Partly for style, partly for the personality. Just this creative & bubbly, energetic slightly quirky girlie. I aspired to be like her so much. And I really think the inclusion of characters like her in media is so important, because it shows kids that it's okay to be different. That it's okay to be unique instead of trying to fit in, as that's what makes you special; that's what makes you YOU. That it's important to be yourself. Like Hay Lin always was. Also on another note, I'm eastern European so we had quite a lot of W.I.T.C.H. things(dolls/mugs/bags/clothes/additional books/bedsheets/clocks/stationery/the book versions of the story/magazines with little trinkets & the cartoon). And I'm not afraid to admit I still have my Heart of Candracar necklace & Hay Lin inspired coin pouch in use. Maybe it is stupid but dam I'm a sentimental one. Ps. I maybe also should find & fix my W.I.T.C.H. bag now that I remembered of its existence.

i think i've said this before but: the creator of W.I.T.C.H also wrote a series of books that i loved as a kid called Fairy Oak. They're novels but they have colored illustrations and the outfits that the characters wore are AMAZING and they influence my fashion sense to this day. You should really check the illustrations out, i think you'd really like them

I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!!!! after reading the comic books I was unable to finish the series cause their outfits in the books are waaaay better. I also remember we had those books like 100 tips on how to make friends/maintain a relationship/have fun (I'm not sure they were published in English, so I'm just translating from my language). And there was this page in one of those books where the girls are switching outfits and Will is wearing Taranee's outfit while Irma is in Cornelia's IT WAS LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE PAGE TO LOOK AT OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! thank you for bringing back the memories

Yes I used to get ready in the morning extra quick so I'd have time left over to check out the morning run of winx club on TV before going to school. But w.i.t.c.h. magazine was my Favorite! I'd buy it as soon as a new one came out and would read the whole thing in the music school cafeteria before singing lessons. Idk what kinda girl that makes me but I know that I was obsessed with w.i.t.c.h. and still love it. My mom threw away my magazines at some point but I later bought them second hand. I'm missing a few volumes sadly but I'd like to collect the new yen press editions. Anyway, as a kid I loved Cornelia because I wanted to be an earth type. I'm not blonde and her style wasn't me as a kid though. Nowadays I do really love my maxi skirts so maybe she influenced me a bit there. I remember copying an illustration of her figure skating and being so proud of it. I'd be so down for a w.i.t.c.h. resurgence.

one of my best friends from primary school was a massive fan of W.I.T.C.H. I didn't watch it as a kid but I had it on my to watch list for a long time. You mentioning maybe doing a video about it last year was the thing I needed to move it to the top and finay watch it.

I love your film, animation, and tv inspired look books! I would love to see a comic book outfit inspired video, like X Men! If you look at a lot of older comics there are some cool outfits as lots of artists started out learning fashion/advertising illustration.

I like W.I.T.C.H because I already had their magazines, but Winx Club is also very nostalgic. But in terms of NOSTALGIC REFERENCE Sailor Moon is iconic.

Okay my request for a tv show lookbook would be: sex and the city! I recently rewatched it and I really enjoyed their outfits and how each character had their own personal style. I also think New girl would be interesting to do (especially Jess has a fun style, but nick and Schmidt also have signature outfits/style). And for anime, maybe you could do one piece? Love these videos, always so creative 👏🏼👏🏼🥺

I loooooved the W.I.T.C.H. comics! Never watched the series though, because they deviated so much from the comics. Also maybe totally spies as a style inspired episode? I know they aren't magical girls, but with their gadgets it did kinda feel like that and they have such cool and defined styles!
