The Confederate flag dats on top of the roof was racist and represented slavery. You will never see a classic icon car dat was in a show with swash sticker represented the holocaust on a car dats being restored.
I don't give a crap what anyone thinks. I've loved that car ever since I first saw the Dukes Of Hazzard as a 10 year old. I'm 53 now and I still love the car (flag and all) It doesn't make me a racist. People need to get a life.
According to John Schneider, you guys got the color wrong. It was not Corvette Flame Red on the TV show. There was no exact color. They used whatever orange they could get their hands on.
And they used the cheap Hi-Glo or Nason orange enamel paint, $25.00 for a gallon back then. They also reduced it with lacquer thinner so it would dry faster and not be so reflective. (My Dad worked on the show)
What is it about the flag? Did the flag break the law? No, it's what the people believe in. How many people have done crimes in the United States? Having the flag represent them. On their bodies or in front of their homes. I love that flag. I grew up to the Rebel flag. When I've seen it on the Duke's hazard. Lynyrd Skynyrd The flag did no wrong. It was a government registered flag. The Confederate army designated it as their flag. So just because people use a racist attitude and fly it? It doesn't make it a racist flag. Some pathetic people and their dumb sht. SMH .
@@UberLummox It was to distinguish the thirteen southern states that served in the Confederate army. And after the South or the Confederate army lost the war with the American Union army. Is was taken out of service. Anybody who has learned about our American history knows that.

Love it! I think that Josh should have realized he’s talking about his boss who pays the bills and gives him a paycheck. I get part of these shows is drama but what happens is cringe worthy, especially Darren. Since both of those previously mentioned mentioned individuals are so great then they should have no problem starting their own business and being highly successful.

I believe that Bless your heart and o sweetie is a southern thing coming from Colorado I have never heard these types of gestures and I have traveled to 39 US States and there are different dialects throughout the country.

Sorry but no, it's already been confirmed many times by the people who actually built them. They were painted Corvette flame red and because flame red was actually orange. Yes I know someone said they scanned it came up with that tnt express but it's hard to not listen to the people who were building them.

Sorry to tell you this,but that's not a world record car The General Lee that jumped over the river in the original Dukes Of Hazard show,is a world record car. Not the car in the stupid remake, that was a poor Imitation of the original TV show.

It’s amazing how many people in the comments section are so passionate about the Battle Flag on the roof. I’m not saying it shouldn’t be on a replica, but to ignore what the flag means to millions across the US is ignorant and shortsighted. That flag is associated with the confederacy, slavery and traitors to the United States. Being excited about those things would be like a group of Germans today being passionate about flying the Nazi flag and sharing their “history.” No one should be proud of a flag that represents traitors to the US. If you want to represent as a southerner fly a state flag. Lastly, it’s true, the General Lee and the Dukes of Hazzard weren’t racist by intent. However, the show came out in a different era and what was acceptable in the past isn’t today. We don’t do blackface on tv or deny women the right to vote and work anymore either. The world moves on whether you like it or not- deal with it and move on.
Wouldn’t it be a real kick to un-convert a General Lee back “to the day it was born? That would be an episode worth watching. It sickens me how many beautiful Chargers have worn the orange Halloween costume and were destroyed because of that idiotic show.
