If he played on a stacked team or a superstar like lebron, curry, duncan etc he could have had a great run. If he had a more manageable contracr he can hit big clufch shots dwwp ib the playoffs but he couldnt often take over a playof series through out the playoffs but more like buzzer beaters type clutch. He reminds me of ginobli, pierce type of clutch shooting under the right conditions as long as he doesnt have to carry a team fro long but in stretches he is amazing.

Firstly, the quote you gave from Muggsy was fake. He has gone on record saying that the trash talk didn't bother him, as him and MJ were friends. Muggsy is described by most players to have the heart of a lion, and no amount of trash talk can change that. Secondly, you mention his career averages trending downwards. This actually is true, as his points and assists would eventually dip and he would leave Charlotte to become a role-player in Toronto after a few more years. However, this was due to an injury in the year after the Bulls series. In the following season after the MJ trash talk, Bogues would actually increase his 3p% to an elite level. He would take a few 3 pointers per year in his career up to this point, but after the series, in 1996-97, he would average a little over 2 attempts per game on 41% 3p%. In the playoffs, he would average 80% (yes, really.)
