I’m an Angels fan and I love David Fletcher

I played club travel baseball with Fletcher growing up and he was the GREATEST SS/fielder I ever saw play the game. I literally believe I remember him making ONE single error in 2+ seasons playing with him. This is from age 16-18 in So Cal, so great competition. He CONSISTENTLY made the sickest plays look routine and the near impossible, possible. Believe the hype. He was born to play the game. On top of that I never saw him play outfield so that shows you how naturally gifted this dude is. I just wondered if he could keep up the great contact hitting against pro level pitching...he definitely can.

Not only is he a clutch and consistent player, not to mention underrated, but he's a great guy too. Being a socal native living here in Minnesota, I've always been a Halos fan. My last trip to Target field was pretty memorable. Started off, I was able to talk to Tyler Skaggs and get his autograph, (RIP Tyler), but during the game, after recording the final out of an inning, he tried to toss me the ball over the netting. I was wearing my Trout jersey. A big doofus next to me barreled me over to get the ball. Fletch saw this happen. He looked at me as he continued to the dugout, pointed at me and mouthed "I got you." Sure enough, next inning he recorded the last out in left and on his way in he was searching me out. After seeing me, he came over to where I was sitting and handed me the ball under the net. What a gesture! I plan on going back this year to have him sign it. BTW, I have a video of him giving me the ball.

He is also one of the toughest players in the mlb to strike out! He will get to an 0-2 count and ALWAYS get to a 3-2 and get at least a walk or a hit! SO clutch it’s insane! I never fear when he’s at an 0-2. To say I’m happy he’s an Angel is an understatement!🙌🏻❤️⚾️

I always knew he was underrated by damn

In 2018 he was clutch but he looked timid when batting and just getting on base doesn’t grab the attention like a slugger would get. That’s the 2 reasons I think he’s been underrated. He looks confident in 2020 though. Keep him in play and I think he might get the recognition he deserves. He is a blast to watch because he is such a consistent playmaker and way more athletic than expected.

About time a player like Fletch gets his man. People dont know how to appreciate a player that doesn't just strike out or hit homeruns. More players like Fletch is EXACTLY what the game needs. FLETCH RULES!!!!! G-Neck you got McNeil so you know the deal.

Watched the first Angels game with Rendon out of curiosity and this guy was absolutely going off in that game. Can't believe I've never heard of him because after seeing what he's done so far this season and these highlights I think the Angels might have another superstar on their hands.

David Fletcher is basically what i was as a player in high school. A small guy with no power, but has speed, versatility, and good defense. Doesnt strikeout a lot. I hit just like him. Especially in my mens softball league. Every one of my hits are little flairs just over the infield.

Live on the east coast no angels fan but I had Mlb tv last year so I watched a lot of late night games and loved watching fletcher play I definitely drafted him late in a couple fantasy leagues as a result.

As a Halo fan I'm blessed to see Fletch play everyday he's very clutch no matter the base situation he's very versatile he can play the infield as well as the outfield very fast runner he's definitely top 10.... I miss the game so much hopefully it comes back soon and the players are safe good video thank you

Fletcher is a local kid. High school in Orange County, and college in Los Angeles. His defensive prowess is second on the team to Simmons. He never strikes out. Lots of reasons to love Fletcher.

Not only is Fletch a Gold Glove worthy player, but he has a great bat. People often overlook him because he has little power, which damages his OPS. But what people don't know is that he is the best player in Baseball who makes contact out of the strikezone, AND he has a low strikeout rate. My boy Fletch is ELITE. And he's only 25 years old. So happy to see him get attention, after two years of wondering why he is never talked about.

Speaking of Anthony Swarzak, when he came up with the Twins in 2009 I went to his big league debut. My dad told me and my brothers that he was starting that night and we were not to excited about it. He told us, “Boys someday when Anthony Swarzak is in the HOF you will remember this.” So from that day on it has been an inside joke that he is a future HOF in my family 😂😂

I saw Fletch at Target at the begining of Quarantine and as an Angels fan I was freaking the hell out, lol

Saw him at Spring Training 2018 and both me and my dad thought he could make it to the Majors that year. I got a couple autographs from him, just in case. He hadn't even been assigned a number yet, kind of came out of the blue for a lot of people. Don't think he ever ranked high in our system, nor had the hype like Adell, Marsh, etc.

@giraffeneckmarc Love this player- the main reason his numbers are lower is that he hasn’t had consistent playing time quite yet (tho he started getting it last year)- been serving as mainly as a super-utility man. He plays anywhere in the infield, can play outfield very well, and he’s also (little known fact) able to play catcher if the need ever arose. Also he was SECOND lowest strikeout percentage in the game last season!!!! Maddon loves him!!!

I had David Fletcher on my Fanasty Team last year, and he was one of the best on my team.

Also he went YARD against Verlander in Mexico and was a finalist for AL 3B Gold Glove. AND EXTREMELY UNDERRATED

Being that he is on my team & I work there I know how special he can be. I feel like if you look up utility player in the baseball manual, Fletchers face should be there. He's good in every facet of the game & I hope he gets more coverage. He deserves it.
