The wireless appliance standard looks really interesting. Can't wait to see it make its way to EV's one day.

The wireless appliance power is really handy for kettles as most of the kitchen set ups often have wall units above plug sockets. So, inevitably you will end up having to replace the plug socket for the kettle over time - we've had to replace it three times now and unfortunately there is no other place to put the kettle. Sure, I could get a tea maker but we need the kettle to boil water for hot water bottles, the odd curry dishes here and there etc (the benefits of living in a multi-cultural city like London, you pick up some neat tricks when making dishes on a shoe string budget).

Subtle thing you've missed that is very important tech-wise, is that the AC unit uses R290 gas. More efficient, no greenhouse gas if it leaks. Mind that R410a used everywhere else is thousand times greenhouse gas as CO2. Meaning that a single standard R410a unit punctured is equivalent to release TONS of CO2, as would be driving car for tens of thousand km. R290 is new in USA/Canada because it is flammable propane so laws prevent it to be used in large quantities so it is only seen today in small fridge. You could do a whole video on the subject...

A lot of really nice tech ideas - looking forward to seeing more. But it looks like everything being put out is wireless, which means a couple of things. One is security measures for your home's systems and second, the accumulating EMF (electric and magnetic field ) radiation in a home has a tipping point. Just because something is convenient, doesn't mean it is a good, long-term product.

Most important thing in smart home tech, IMO? LOCAL CONTROL. If it can only talk to a cloud (i.e. I can't set up something like Home Assistant and control it all locally), then its lifespan is only as long as the company that produces them, or even shorter. Triple true for security products - if it's a cloud subscription for remote access, fine. But I need to be able to control access at home. Way too many companies have had idiotic security flaws that let you see other users' activity.

Reolink ones coming with local recording AND integration has "Local Push" class in HomeAssistant - that is actually super promising. Hope you highlight things like this in the future - it's a huge selling poing to a vocal minority!

Demonstrating color night vision with a static object is so bogus. Panasonic (currently i-PRO) demonstrated this 10 years ago with moving objects and with no latency.
