I absolutely love how the skating rink is full of adults having a good time. I skated for years growing up, the skating rink was my hang out. Then I switched to blades at 10 and did speed skating for 12 years. It's been a minute since I've skated but I bet it would be like riding a bike. Bravo everyone, I love it!!

I grew up skating on quad skates as well, then switched to rollerblades, and later ice speed skates for the last 30 or so years. I put on a pair of quad roller skates recently for the first time in probably 40 years, and my feet were absolutely killing me.....

I am white and native Indian and I grew up in neighborhoods with poor kids and poor family's and my closest friends were black kids growing up and we ALWAYS had fun. We would do things back in the day like walk miles to rent a one dollar video from the video store and think it was like the best thing ever to rent a movie on our parents account...and take in pop cans from the neighborhood and get enough money to go to the movie theater and watch a movie...or take turns giving each other pumps on the only bike in the hood with Pegs..we would often just sit and talk about what we would all do if we did have money..and in the summer time we would wonder the streets looking for a motel or apartment swimming pool vacant enough to jump in a cool off before getting kicked out. we had the best time just hanging out being broke and kids because of the kids in my neighborhood..most of us grew up to be successful people with money to do whatever we really want to do and it just doesn't seem as fun now as adults to do stuff as it did back then...I wouldnt change my poor childhood for anything.

Mary there is no comparison. Those in the 70's rocked it. Check out the video rock roll bounce. They were just sooooo smooth. Skaters today don't have that. To me they messed the skates up. They don't look right to me. They look crazy. Plus there are older skaters afraid of getting hurt. In the 70s there were teenaged rocking it. These look tired sorry!!!!

Loved watching these skaters! Roller skating was popular when I was young (I’m in my 60’s now). No computer games, smartphones or anything like that keeping kids cooped up inside. We had to get off our butts and go OUT to have fun! LOL. Anyway, I never was able to get very good at skating but I could at least go around & around the rink ok without falling. So much fun. Wish I could have skated like these folks!!! So glad to see people still enjoy skating!
