Oh yeah, so what's an ideal thickness from your perspective? Or is it more a question of materials and build (as you alluded re: the stiches edges)?

I think it might be down to the density of the rubber that's used as well, I'm using the G-SR now (review soon) and it's only .5mm thicker but it just feels a lot less raw against my desk. The fnatic Dash is 3mm but it just feels like it's less flimsy compared to the G640. I'd say that a 4mm thickness is probably the best for me, which is the thickness of a GP4 which is one of my favourite pads.

@hankagura5355 To this day, I still prefer it over any cloth pad. I'm currently using a glass pad. The pulsar superglide. 10/10 if you want something new. Easy to clean, doesn't stain whatsoever, and it doesn't get scratched. The grip underneath the pad itself is the best I've experienced.

@@hankagura5355 I just got the G840 and I instantly played better. If this keep up over the next few weeks this will be my main and I tried a few now. Gamesense Radar X-raypad Equate (non-coated white) Odin Infinity LGG Saturn Glorious 3XL GS-R IKEA Lånespelare The G840 blows them all away and I never play good on pads out of the box. With this I had 3 amazing CS games back to back. Landed incredible shots consistently that I just couldn't do on the Saturn or gamesense radar because they lack static friction. They just keep gliding at all times which is super annoying in tac-shooters. Speedwise it is similar to the radar and saturn but it has that slight tug that is so important to stop your mouse. It just felt so natural to play on and the surface is silky smooth and nice on your arm. A huge recommend from me. I played with a G Pro Hero with hyperglides. I will test it in coming days with the EC2-C (w corepads), G Pro wireless (w hyperglides) to see how it feels with those mice.

@@BurntPlaydoh i have 2 mpc450s, both havr a slower spot, lasts about 5-7 months. i have an otsu xsoft, lasts 3 months. every pad changes glide

LGG saturn might be a good one to try out, great all around pad and my main after trying out pretty much all of the top tier pads out there.

⁠that lgg saturn I mentioned would be a good one, otherwise a zowie gsr-se rouge, vaxee pa, or artisan zero are all fantastic pads as well. Just kind of depends on the flavor you're going for and how much you want to spend.

As long as you’re not using anything abrasive to clean it it should be ok

Depends really. A good amount of control is still needed for high sense so I’d say yes.

Hello man. I was a serious gamer 20 years ago. If you are a high sens player and want something extreme, i recomend you to try plastic surfaces. My old experience was with func surfaces but nowadays you have many brands out there. I would try a gaming wireless mouse with it cause the wiring is an isue when you going extreme on sensibility. OR on a alternative buy a mouse wire holder so you keep your wire lifted and you willl not feel it so much. I personaly use only wired mouses but in your case with all the recent tech gear available i would try a wireless one.

Cordura is very underrated. I hope more companies experiment with it more as there's a few factors to Cordura that could improve or reduce the glide.

what do you think about cordura after using it for a while? i've been using my cloth mousepad since 2 years ago and i had a plan to switch to cordura one, i noticed this logitech g640 really sensitive with room temperatures, it becomes really sticky if u didn't have enough air circulation in your room. Does cordura does that aswell?

@@milkatzu2586 if you are using glass or ceramic feet that's what you will notice on any mousepad surfaces, it's caused by humidity
