By Sofie is a company that invents baby products with more longevity. Sofie Hepworth is seeking an investment of £75,000 for 5% of her business. The Little Hoppa transforms from a baby gym to a baby bouncer and then finally to an activity table, making the product suitable for ages 0 to 4 years old, which Touker Suleyman was impressed by.
Season 19, Episode 6.
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

⁠@@tosspot1305no they don’t. Stephen did a video and said it comes across like that on tv but off the show he has a good personal relationship with all the dragons. It’s business after all, it’s a cutthroat atmosphere but personally they get on just fine.

@@tosspot1305they really dont. There's an episode where touker and stephen were going at it and at the end of the episode, touker said "We leave everything in the den" which means outside of the den, they're just fine with each other, but in the den, it's every investor for themselves.

ok so the entrepreneurs carnt take a piece of paper with some financial evidence on to jog there memory but the dragons can write everything down to jog there memory! seems slightly unfair considering the entrepreneurs are really on the spot and out there comfort zone . i see so many great ideas not get a dragon due to this surely just let them bring a sheet of paper with bullet points on you wouldn't walk into a meeting with nothing 😂

While i agree that the system here is rigged (by design), its also true the entrepreneurs goin on air have enough time to memorize a few numbers. If they cant be bothered to do that, what else cant they be bothered of after they get their investment

Touker now owns more than 50% of the company, whilst Sofie and husband own between 25% - 49%, according to Companies House. The company is called Baby Grey Ltd, and most likely run out of Touker's office space in London.The last set of accounts published in Sept 22 don't look healthy. Selling their house was madness.

Things like this that transform are all very clever but in real life I would get a bouncer (perhaps), a table and forget the gym. It is simply too much hassle to be converting pieces of furniture into other things once the novelty wears off.

To all those saying she gave away too much: it was basically a full team up or give up now. There's so much wrong with the commercial side of her business, it was actually the right move even if 45% is a lot. But keeping 55% is better than no business at all.

They are not recommended... They tend to delay the baby's natural development, I saw this happen with my 2 out of 3 kids... Will never use one for future kids

I don't see why they can't present a balance sheet or something to assist in their pitch. Requiring them to remember the numbers off hand is really annoying. These entrepreneurs are often nervous, so when they inevitably get grilled and hit a wall, they get tossed to the side without a way to correct anything.

She gave away nearly half of her business for 100k , without any hesitation. And the counter offer, was just a mere... non conscious reaction. She was just stoke to receive an investment and no doubt would have accepted £75k for the same amount of equity she gave away. How long would it have taken for her to raise the £100k investment to return it back? Probably go into debt, to pay it back. Also what percentage did she want back? No clue because it was a mere un conscious response.

Nice set up but a little costly I think. Coffee table works well a bouncing chair isnt expensive nor is the baby gym, normally bought by friends or family.
