We was shocked to explore this house knowing she hide her children away as she believed the house was cursed hidden in the mountains lies this time capsule aslomost 20 years on no one had stood foot inside.

Dave, dont take it to heart about those few who complain about you looking through belongings. Your so respectful and 100% take care of everything you touch. If their that way inclined thinking its wrong... they need to stop watching explorers and go watch cooking shows. sorry to hear of your nan passing. Ive lost all my family, mum dad and sis, its tough. Loved this explore with the other 2 guys. funny enough - at time of watching this... in 5 days its easter and that wallpaper with the rabbit and baby chick fits the part. haha. take care x till next explore

You hear of kids that have told their parents “when I’m able to leave, I’m never coming back”, some say it and don’t mean it, others do mean it. Such as this video, kids left and never came back. Some kids may want to come back, but due to their situation they’re unable to. The heirs may have declined the inheritance and the city/town hasn’t done anything with the property. Lucky for us the homes are still here for viewers to see 😊 I’m subscribed and love watching your videos, I love the content and seeing vintage items, sad to see the items left like this. Why viewer discretion? Usually when you see this level of religious items it’s due to unhealthy fear and paranoia. After hearing the history at the end it’s evident the mom needed mental health help and that’s probably why the kids never returned. Very sad indeed.

It's extremely common for Irish catholics to display an abundance of religious iconography, I have witnessed it in the homes of many catholics of Irish descent in England, I personally always found it a bit macabre

Loving some new houses. I still rewatch all the older videos but always enjoy new things.Im 70 and have lived through a lot of what you come across, toys, mags, customs, wallpapers, clothes . Often recognise things you can’t identify. It’s fascinating .

Who knows? Whatever happened that bungalow must have been a gem in its day. I especially loved all the daughters 80s stuff, it certainly took me back to my 80s as a teenager. Wow a hell of a lot of stuff in there it was so nice that you took the time to put all the trinkets and jewellery back in the trinket box you are so respectful of the time capsules you find and by the way why didn't you rescue me the big carved dresser in the living room. So much beautiful stuff decaying it's so sad. Thankyou dave for yet another brilliant video xx

My Aunty left a house abandoned in Ireland after her beloved Jack died. Aunty went back to England. That is why photos in these abandoned homes matter so much!!! Maybe one day I'll see her photo? I was told the story by my uncle???

OMG this breaks my heart. I believe during her grief, a demonic spirit took over her mental well being. Turning her children's love into sonething that appeared evil to her. Or possibly tricked her into believing that the only way she could save her children was by hiding them away with discipline that possibly became brutal. So incredibly sad. One minute a happy family destroyed by the death of their father. Sadly, this reminds me of my own childhood. Not all kids are lucky enough to have that "perfect family" or a happy childhood . Those are the kids who need to be excepted by their school mates the most but end up being bullied because of their parents. And... that makes being bullied even more devastating for any abused child. This is the same era I grew up in. ❤️🙋‍♀️🇺🇸

It sounds like the Kady of the house had some mental problems. The children left in desperation. She loved them so much, she kept their rooms for them and probably talked to them too. How lonely she must have been. Maybe when the Father was alive things were better. It’s a lovely property and house. The kitty goes perfect with the house.

I was born in the early 60's and my grandmother's house that was built in the 30's had a lock and key on the inside of every internal door. I think it was the 'done thing' back then

Who cares if they look through stuff! I mean seriously if anyone that owned the stuff cared about it, ot wouldn’t have been left abandoned for so many years/ decades! At least they are respectful and don’t vandalize things. And it doesn’t matter why it was abandoned. As long as it’s been if there was anyone left that cared about any of it they could have reclaimed what they wanted by now you’d think.

Old Irish money was Saorstat Pound in 1927 and changed to Euro notes in 2002.The first Irish coin series consisted of eight coins: farthing, halfpenny, penny, threepence, sixpence, shilling, florin and half-crown. That cat is absolutely beautiful and so loving.

Hi Dave, what a sad story, it seems like the Mother couldn't handle her Husband's death and she may have suffered a mental breakdown and other mental issues because of the loss she experienced. Thanks Dave for sharing this time capsule, much love. xx ❤

I actually don’t feel anything bad in that home. You can see there was lots of love and enjoyment in there. I think empty houses always seem a bit eerie because there should be a television on or a radio and the house should be warm etc. Think I’ll have burgers for tea tonight 😂😂😂😂

I remember that Nokia. My father had one and I bought an antenna that flashes that he was talking about (in the video) for his (my fathers) phone. It killed his battery too quickly.

Very sorry for your loss. I hope you can take some comfort in the happy memories you have of her. On a more positive note, I have a collection of troll dolls (about 60 of them) that I started in the mid-80's. I haven't added to it in 20 years, though, lol.
