@@lindakubacki8729 I would do is that the reasoning for this is due to the fact that there are many who believe God's law works like human law - a system of rules without inherent consequence which requires the rule giver to impose punishments upon those who disobey. Sadly much of Christianity has essentially believe this lie and our thinking of who God is, his character and his methods, become reflectors of how we act around others. For by beholding we become changed into that in which we behold. Penal substitutionary theology, the primary theology that is taught within our seminary schools, has a form of godliness but has no power as Apostle Paul states himself.

Below is a discussion between an Adventist minister and myself a Catholic regarding the Sabbath I trust anyone who thoughtfully reads this will find it interesting. The discussion contains many of the Adventist's arguments commonly given to defend their belief in Sabbath keeping. It's very straight forward. I write: My friend, in order for a person to enter the kingdom of God he must be honest in all things. Much of what you said is not true, nor is it from scripture. I don’t necessarily blame you for the content of your reply, but whoever originated the content of our reply was either intentionally or unintentionally dishonest. Please let me explain: You wrote the following items which I have numbered for your consideration. My reply is below each one. SDA 1. Exodus 20 is certainly important. However, the Sabbath goes back further than Exodus 20 and the Ten Commandments. It was given by God at creation as His ideal, a special "holy" place in time. So in that sense, it was given to the entire world. *ANSWER:* When one reads Exodus chapters 19-20 it is very plain that God is speaking to the circumcised, “Children of Israel” as a nation, not the other nations of the world SDA 2. Adventists did not modify Genesis 2, nor did the "children of Israel" exist at that time (that came later). *ANSWER:* The truth is neither did God, Jews nor Adam and Eve kept the Sabbath in Genesis 2. The Adventist’s know that the entire Adventist movement is based in their false interpretation of the Sabbath in Genesis 2 and if it is shown that they cannot prove Adam and Eve kept the Sabbath, the whole Adventists movement collapses. So, yes, the Adventist *”Changed”* the content of Genesis 2 to read something it never says. Again, I will remind you that absolute honesty is require from the heart or otherwise you will be deceived and deceive others. SDA 2. Likewise, our view is that if the principles of the Ten Commandments apply as "best practices" given by God for human flourishing, why would only nine remain and not all ten? *ANSWER:* The 10 commandments were given to the nation of Israel as the minimum standards for conduct within the society and government of the Israel. The Sabbath commandment was specific to Israel and not the rest of the world. Exodus 31:12 and a host of other scriptures demonstrate that the Sabbath is a unique covenant between God and “The Children of Israel” and not the Egyptians, Ethiopians, Chinese and Africans, just as circumcision was. Moreover, a critical verse in understanding the Sabbath is directly related to Gen. 17:14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, *that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken MY covenant."* Adventists fail to understand that in order for anyone to have any part in the inheritance and covenant with Abraham and his family, that person had to be circumcised of the flesh. SDA 3. Additionally, we will have to differ on what comprises "Jewish distinctions," as the Jewish people of that time were highly traditional, with many laws, customs, offerings, feast days, etc. To them, each of these was necessary in order to find God's favor. *ANSWER:* The law of Moses is the law of Moses and it includes all Sabbaths weekly and annually. There is no distinction between them. I know that the Adventist try to claim that the weekly Sabbath is not part of the law of Moses, to hide the fact that because it once it is shown that the 10 commandments are included in the law of Moses, it spells the end of Adventism. The choice is whether the Adventists will be honest or not. *No scholar would dare deny that Lev 23 is part of the law of Moses.* Lev 23:1-3 plainly Shows MOSES commanding the Sabbath, saying *"EVEN"* (meaning ESPECIALLY the weekly Sabbath is a feast! If you are obligated to keep the weekly Sabbath, you are obligated to keep *all the Sabbaths of Lev. 23* In Lev. 23, They are all Feasts and the first feast is the weekly Sabbath. Adventist try to ignore this because, once again it undermines their whole entire argument. *One can easily see that if the weekly Sabbath is a *"Feast"* as Lev. 23 explicitly says it is, there is no possible way for the Adventists out of the fact that Col. 2:16 includes the weekly Sabbath. Furthermore, one can plainly see that before Exodus 20, there is Exodus 16 which explicitly shows *MOSES* commanding the Sabbath to the children of Israel. The Adventist Church needs to come clean. SDA 4. Jesus didn't seem to agree. There was obviously concern that Christianity could be made very "heavy" if the early-Christian church was saddled with all of these. We believe that the apostles faithfully carried out the commands of Jesus through these statements. *ANSWER:* Yes, and to understand Peter’s words in Acts 15, he knows that the Sabbath cannot be singled out as a commandment, without all the other laws from circumcision of the flesh to even the sacrificial laws being incumbent upon the Gentiles. Because it is all one law, not two as the Adventist Church teaches. The scripture plainly calls it *one law* to be kept by both the circumcised Jew and the circumcised Gentile. (Exodus 12:48-49) Of course, the “Book of the Law” contained Lev. 23 as well, so therefore, there can be no exclusion of the Sabbath day from both inside and in the side pocket of the ark. Deut 31:24 *And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, 25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying, 26 *Take this book of the law* , and put it in the side of the ark of *the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a WITNESS against thee.* The 10 commandments as well as the entire law of Moses stands as a witness against the everyone who professes to keep them. Rom. 3:19 SDA 5. They didn't want the fledgling Christian movement to be saddled with the rigidity of these many laws and traditions. Nowhere does it read that the Sabbath was invalidated, as it predated all of the Judaic (human) laws when it was given at creation by God. *ANSWER:* Your premise is wrong and therefore, your conclusion is wrong also. The Sabbath was never commanded to the Gentiles to keep, except when they had been circumcised of the flesh and had taken hold of “my covenant” with Abraham and the Children of Israel (Isa.56:1-7). Verse 7 of Isa. 56 clearly shows that the covenant includes the animal sacrifices as much as Sabbath keeping, and it included all of Lev. 23 as well. SDA 6. Jesus and the Apostle Paul kept the Sabbath, as is recorded multiple times in the New Testament. *ANSWER:* Jesus and Paul were Jews and as such, *they celebrated all of the Feasts of Lev. 23,* so it is no amazing thing. They were both circumcised of the flesh too as commanded by God. The Apostle Paul writing 20 years after the death and resurrection of Christ, still shows that contrary to the Adventist teaching the book of the law was still to be kept by every person who kept the Sabbath writing in Gal. 3:10 says, Galatians 3:10 (KJV) 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, CURSED is EVERY ONE that continueth not in *ALL THINGS* which are written in Book of the law to do them. The Lord himself judge the secrets of your heart this day whether you will be found having your own righteousness which is of the law or the righteousness of faith apart from the deeds of the law (Rom. 3:21) . As long as you live by the law, you will be judged by the law and found sorely wanting. As for us, it is written the righteous shall live by faith and the law is not of faith. *But, know this, that the scripture declares no heretic will inherit the kingdom of God* Gal.5:17-19, Titus 3:10 A man that is a heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 *Knowing that he that is such *is subverted* , and *SINNETH, being condemned of himself* . *The wrath of God is against the heretics!

Response to answer #3 The distinction, sir, that you so blatantly ignore is this simple Fact... The Ten Commandments were written in Stone (stone represents permanence) not once but twice by GOD'S own finger, another distinction is that God's Commandments were placed Inside the Ark of the Covenant, while the Book of the Law was placed beside the Ark. The doctrine regarding the pre-trib rapture is a false doctrine. You will Not find it anywhere in the Bible. Nor will you find anything about purgatory, which was completely made up by the hierarchy to get believers to pay "the church" to save their dead loved ones from suffering in the fictional place. And don't get me started on indulgences. There was a plethora of reasons why Martin Luther called for the "mother church" to repent because he was appalled by these &many other practices.

You are not alone. I am hated even by fellow adventist members because of what I consider to be present truth to be preached. But many want what Ellen White calls free-loveism, false charity, sentimentalism. It's painful to walk alone, it's a lonely place but we are not alone. Let's soldier on friends.

The publishers of the NIV Bible are the same publishers of the satanic bible... That says something... Plus NIV misses out alot of verses that the KJV has... So that again says something of all these different translations.

Revelation 3:17 Says the last church would be wretched, poor, miserable and blind, neither hot nor cold for Christ etc. In all that unflattering list, you don't find the term 'Babylon or Babylonian'. Babylon has spat in the face of God while Laodicea has back slidden. They are not the same. Babylon will be destroyed but God will redeem His own if they respond to His call to do the first works -in love. Not to forsake their works or Biblical doctrines but to rekindle their love of Him and fellow men in how they use them. How can we call His displaced Children out of Babylon (Roman Catholic System) only to bring them to our own worldwide denomination and call it Babylon too till they are discouraged and give up all together? We're told what the characteristics of God's woman (church) are- those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus (Spirit of Prophecy) Revelation 12:17, Rev 19:10. It'd be great if every person was perfect in the truth as soon as they know sound doctrine but unfortunately, that is a process for each individual and before they reach the place of brotherly love.. others are most often hurt along the way. I don't know your stance on the Spirit of Prophecy but we're told NOT to place our church on the same ground as Babylon like our founders and early leaders often did. When they discovered a need to become a formal group, people said it was Babylon. When a name was required for legal and practical reasons- Babylon. And on and on. These quotes are from Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers. “Those who have proclaimed the Seventh-day Adventist Church as Babylon, have made use of the Testimonies in giving their position a seeming support; but why is it that they did not present that which for years has been the burden of my message-the unity of the church? Why did they not quote the words of the angel, ‘Press together, press together, press together’? Why did they not repeat the admonition and state the principle that ‘in union there is strength, in division there is weakness’? “To claim that the Seventh-day Adventist Church is Babylon is to make the same claim as does Satan, who is an accuser of the brethren, who accuses them before God night and day. They always and only baptized in repentance, and in the name of Christ Jesus alone. “Like ancient Israel, the church has dishonored her God by departing from the light, neglecting her duties, and abusing her high and exalted privilege of being peculiar and holy in character. I watched a video yesterday in which it was reported that a Russian general is calling for the nuking of western Europe and the subsequent movement of NATO war equipment to the borders of these countries. I realized that a few days prior it was also reported that Iran had talks with Cuba and is putting missiles there. China at the same time set up a spy station there and moved troops there. Russia already has missiles there. Canada is on fire and smoke has covered a large portion of the USA. Why would this wake me up?Well a few things. The most urgent is the destruction of the one third the population of earth which has begun. Revelation 9:1--11 is talking about two thirds of the population of earth being stung/ injected followed by a war in which three entities( four angels from the Euphrates, the genetically modified beast and what is riding it --- sounds like Iran from the Euphrates, China the beast from the bottomless pit as it's symbol is a dragon which is another name for satan who ascends from the bottomless pit and is the one responsible for the sting previously and Russia who is riding aka working with the beast from the bottomless pit aka China, the triad in Cuba who destroys the one third.If this was just a Russia and western Europe war I probably wouldn't say a thing but revelation 11:4--12 says the same thing but specified the USA. How did I get that? Jerimiah 11:16 calls Isreal the olive tree and revelation 1:20 calls the churches/ Christians the candlesticks. Where are these two entities concentrated? Yep the USA. Notice that ppl are killed and left unburied in the streets for three and a half days after which a Voice from heaven resurrects and ascends them. The street they lay in are called spiritually Sodom and Egypt and where our Lord was crucified. Pride month is enough to cover the Sodom part but as a army person am sure u r aware of the fat camp that has to be done to recruit soldiers. Sodom's features are sexual immorality, fullness of bread aka obesity and food wasting , and abundance of idleness. Egypt known for killing babies and slavery. I don't need to talk about those two either. Where our Lord was crucified, Christ was crucified outside of Jerusalem in Rome the last two heads of Rome are the USA and papacy. So needless to say revelation 11:4--12 is talking about the USA. So if Putin does as his general suggest in the next fourteen days as they suggest am afraid we are looking at the anhilation of the USA and Jamaica and western Europe and Isreal. During that time the world had a desolation event in which streets schools malls churches etc were desolate and initiated the activation of the abomination of desolation aka removal of everything Christ Jesus aka antiChrist system which results in the two thirds of the earth being marked/ stung/ injected. That leaves this year and next year for the consummation aka removal of the one third the population of earth ( revelation 9:15--19)aka destruction of the mighty and holy ppl ( Daniel 8:24) aka war of the beast from the bottomless pit with the olive tree and candlesticks ( revelation 11:4--12)aka destruction of Rome ( Daniel 7:9--13). Revelation 11:4--12 puts the consummation and subsequent trampling of the host as occuring three and a half days before the Ancient of Days resurrects and ascends them aka rapture. That leaves a time and a season aka a year and a season before Christ returns and pours out the indignation on the desolate as Daniel 9:27 says and basically all the signs point to the destruction of the USA and allies by fall( china says the war should end by fall which means before fall) and leaves exactly a time and season for the completion of Daniel 9:27. What most of us always fail to realize is that there was an immediate audience to whom these prophecies were told . I honestly believe that for us to understand their (the prophecies) significance, we must first strive to understand what they meant to the original audience. In 1 Corinthians 10:11 apostle Paul writes that the he occurrences in Israel were as a lesson to us who live in the end of ages. With this in mind, we must also know that just as there were prophecies about other nations on things they would encounter at the end of ages, the same applies to the Israelites after them being taken out of the nations in which they were scattered, read Luke 21: 20-24 and that Jesus prophesied their being scattered among the nations of the world. Earlier prophets had prophesied the same and also foreseen their regathering

The way we kneel for prayer is a manmade construct. It's just a tradition. The bible calls us to prostrate ourselves before God.
