Sorry to say this Victor, but I’m kind of hoping you don’t kill off any characters from Thomas & Friends Canon. I know this is a pretty cold thing since I’m saying I don’t have as much concern over whether the other characters are on the chopping block, but so far you’ve kind of avoided this. Even in Arthur’s case, you had another engine more in line with his Canon personality take his place. Speaking of which, I kind of wish you showed us how Arthur 2 and Sir Topham Hatt reacted when they learned of the ghost engine. I suppose this comment is pointless though given what we see in the preview. From the looks of it, at least one of the Caledonian twins is getting killed in the Munitions incident and it doesn’t seem like there are enough non-canon characters to limit the fatalities to them. Like, maybe there’s a dozen of them compared to the Canon characters that outnumber them? The preview just sounds like the body count will be extreme. Still, feels a bit of a shame trying to imagine one of the Canon characters not living to the modern day given how friendly and happy the Canon cast is in both official media and fan media.
I personally think that Mr Hall is one of the children that were the sons of the Flying Kipper Guard and since in season 2 Donald mentions that the guard had tow children and in the trailer for season 5 there was a close up shot of a man I think when Edward was talking about the revenge which could be his brother. And lets say the flying kipper occured in the Christmas of 1938 and lets say Mr. Hall was born in the late 20s to early 30s wich means by the time the year 1965 so they'd be in their mid to early 40s or late 30s
I thought this too, until I realized the guard that was killed in the kipper crash had a different last name than Mr. Hall. It's possible he changed it though.
6:46 Mr Hall: "it has been done sir. The steam engines are gone." Alfred E. Peralman: "Good, are they all in a scrapyard, my chainsaw is getting HUNGRY!"
In the intro for Stories of Sodor, we see diesel 10 next to Geoffrey, who is now dead. I have a theory that D10 is the experiment that Mr. Hall is working on and Pinchy is going to be the outcome. Either that or Barry is some kind of prototype engine, similar to Geoffrey again, as he is really an LNER engine, but is portrayed in the series as an experimental LMS design.
Technically, Geoffrey's basis is from the Great Central Railway, specifically an 8K, which was mass produced for the Railway Operating Division of the British War Department, and was sold to all of the big four railway companies after they were formed.
You know what I think? I think Hall could be the son of Michael Creedy (the LMS guard who was killed in the Flying Kipper crash) perhaps he holds a grudge against the railway
Man I've been watching since I the beginning. I was 20 and a half and finally after 3 years of trying harder I finally graduated. It was during the final 3 months of school I started watching this series. Oh where has time gone?
The experimental engine is 100% an oil burning engine as it would make it easier and cheaper to round and would test the conversion of older designs. We had in in West Germany in the 60s were old coal burning engines were converted to oil burning locomotives!
About MacColl: victor typically uses same models for noname characters and named one For example Old Bailey is generic old man model, same as Burke in episode with sabotages
interesting... i also noticed that donald/douglas's models are in that scrap scene... hoping that what i think isnt gonna come true for my favorite twins XD but i guess all thats left is to wait and see.
While I do see the idea of Thomas himself potentially biting the bullet in the Munitions incident, I have my doubts. For one, like with the argument for Rosie, Thomas is a canon character, and on top of that, there have been other stories written about Thomas in the Railway Series past this point, as it goes on towards 1972 for Wilbert's run of the series and Christopher later picks the series back up in 1983. Yes, some stories in the Railway Series were purely fictional in TSoS, so that is an argument against my point, but there's also the fact Wilbert didn't include the likes of Lily and Colin in the books due to him not wanting to disrespect them, since they died before Wilbert began writing the stories. On top of that, killing off the main series' titular character might prove controversial amongst Victor's fanbase, and I doubt Victor would want to potentially stir up controversy like that. If Thomas is caught in the munitions incident, I think he might just barely survive, likely due to another engine getting him out of there and shielding him from the brunt of the explosions, like what Lily did for Henry
To be fair, it terms of TSoS, Thomas is not the biggest fan favourite, it's Edward. Mainly because Victor chose Edward as the narrator for the first Seasons...
Same can be said with the Scottish twins. It's being speculated that one of them is going to be killed off but I doubt that would happen because he's a canon character as well. Plus in the events of this series I don't think the twins got their debut in the books yet. So it wouldn't be right to kill one of them.
My theory is Awdrys 11 will be spared, but narrowly. One of the twins is still show alive, if unconcisous. Henry, Gordon, James and Edward survive, leaving Thomas, Percy, Toby and Oliver. Thomas probably won't, alongside Percy. Maybe Toby and Duck, hell even Bruce!
I actually thought Haul could be one of Donald’s guards kids after watching the episode a few times. Though it just makes me wonder how can he not see that it was ice and snow that lead the accident that killed his dad? It’s not like Henry deliberately smashed into the breakvan or he and his crew were planning on killing him or anything, so how is he not smart enough to see it genuinely was an accident? As for what else I think could happen in the series; Thomas could die or almost die from the munitions explosion, Henry and Donald ALMOST die from assassination attempts, Edward comes out now that Barry is introduced, With increased road competition we could finally see Elizabeth and Maybe it be cool to see Jack and The Pack and Ms. Jennings.
grief and anger can make people irrational. I have known a number of people who refuse to let go of issues from their past and who continually lay the blame for their situation in places where everyone except them can see it does not belong.
I think it speaks to the reach of Stories of Sodor that there is now a fan theory video and it has 14k views (as of writing). And I'd say the series definitely deserves it!
what if Rosie dies the munitions disaster and James had a secret crush on Rosie and and after that that's way James is such a selfloved Kevin is because PTSD from his previous girlfriend and Rosie's Death? just putting it out there
If Thomas doesn't die in Munitions he could still become incapacitated for quite a while like James in the "Armaments" flashback which would lead to the Fat Controller bringing Jinty onto Sodor to do Thomas' work like Daisy in "Branch Line Engines".
I HIGHLY doubt Thomas will die in “Munitions”. Thomas is this series’ equivalent of Ten Cents from TUGS, and in the original episode that “Munitions” is based on and named after, Ten Cents was believed dead in an oil barge explosion, but showed up alive the next morning. Also, let’s be real: the only characters who have died are OCs (Alfred counts as an OC because 98462 had no character in the Railway Series). Canon characters have military-grade plot armor. The only character I can see dying in “Munitions” for certain is Benson, who will either sacrifice himself to save another engine’s life (calling back to “Stories of War” when he said Colin wasn’t a hero because he didn’t live to brag about it), or getting executed via compulsory Final Firing following a court martial. Perhaps Big Mickey will also die, leading to Cranky’s introduction in Season 6. As for Parliament revoking the rights of non-faceless vehicles, that wouldn’t happen without civil rights groups raising a fuss, and I doubt even the Tories would want to see anything resembling the race riots of the United States in that period. My personal theory is that unscrupulous and greedy BR controllers will conspire to save money on Black Water by scrapping non-faceless steam locomotives alive, in blatant defiance of the law, and that Mr. Hall is out to discredit The Fat Controller and possibly even replace him as controller to have free reign to do the same on Sodor.
I think you're right about Benson, but I disagree with the reasoning. Benson is shown to secretly care about other engines, like when giving the lamp to Stanley, or when he tried to talk Whiff out of being a firing exercise, but he doesn't like showing it. During "Choices", Benson says after Whiff talks about his owners not being able to maintain him to Thomas and Henry, "He's saying that he's old, and out of date, and we military types know when we are past it!" With dieselization, Benson would realize that he's out of date, and thus wouldn't be hesitant at all to save a life at the cost of his own, feeling that his time would soon be up regardless.
I think Mr. Hall’s “experiment” with Barry is making Barry run on diesel fuel for his fire, similar how here in the States, we have a ton of locomotives, especially in the West and Southwest, that are oil fired. The whole idea of it saving steam is that BR can use both diesel and steam with only having to pay for 2 fuel sources, water and fuel.
It was me who came up with the idea that Mr Hall's father was the same one Henry crashed into in Sabotage. And I also stated that the intended target for the accident was Henry, not Geoffrey!
I also hope the person in Revenge is Radek Zelenka. I wanted him to return so I thought up an arc for Victor Tang to use when he asked us for story ideas.
That couldn't be the case. Radek more or less had grief with what Adam did with his brother, not the railway itself. And as we've seen by now, Adam's been long gone for years; it'd make no sense for Radek to hold a grudge for this long, more or less against the Railway of all entities.
Me personally I feel Mr. Hall was the son of the guard that was accidentally killed by Henry during that winter when all the acts of sabotage was happening and since he grew up he probably got married and then became a well respected engineer who knows how to work wonders for the engines but I feel he’s capture and imprisonment is gonna come with a very heavy price
I think we're going to see many, if not most of the 'non canon' characters being destroyed. Honestly, if you look through the deaths so far, it's been original characters. Those being: Colin, Lily, Adam (note on him later), Geoffry, Arthur (note 2), Alfred, The other 8f, and Johnny Cuba. Of these, all but two are 100% original characters. with Adam and Arthur, there's some caveats. 1.) Adam is 'mentioned' in the original book series, but only indirectly. As in it's mentioned that an earlier railroad had a well tank engine that may have been named Adam, but he's never specifically ever seen. 2.) Arthur's demise and return can simply be chalked up to a mistake on the part of Victor. Using a model which was out of time, and creating the "return" to correct the mistake, claiming the previous version was a prototype. This trend seems to point to any original characters biting the bullet at some point in the near future. Further suggested to some degree by the SCP's of Sodor series with various engines that aren't seen during the 'modern' period. So who remains that is an original character? The two box tank locomotives. While mentioned briefly in the original stories, they're never really named. Peter also is an original character, as no 8f locomotive is found in the original canon. Kate also runs this risk, as her design originates from a movie that is not considered canon to the series. Beyond that, we have the following original characters: Mickey, Joey (and any police locomotives), Peckett, Reginald, Eric, Samantha, Wendell, Alice, Sheffield, Winston, and William. Given the tendency of 'non canon' characters dying, then it stands to reason the above characters, while popular, would also be on the list of potential deaths. That's just on the standard gauge, I've not even touched on the narrow gauge.
8:45 There's something else. You've made some great points but I want to add my 2 cents into the mix and I've been a fan of the stories of sodor since the war stories stuff so I have my theory but also want to add to the point you just made. So I'll do the adding to your point first. The engines who've died up to this point....this is a grim topic given I liked most of the engines who died before they went but Geoffrey was actually my favourite original character(Now I'm not sure if Victor created him or if another did but when I say Original I purely mean engines or people who haven't appeared in the main series of Thomas the Tank engine), so I'm still sad about that because....well that's my point the who....who have died so far? First off is Colin, then it was Station Master whatever, Mr Star, Alfred, Lily, Adam and Andreus, none of them are what any of us would call canon engines like Thomas or Gordon(Not that I want those two to die, they're just examples). The canon engines should not be enjoying this seeming defence because the stories of sodor books are now in existence within the stories of Sodor, so maybe Victor should kill off a canon engine and I have a recommendation, though it is my second favourite diesel, Boco just because in TTTE he did seem to disappear and this would be a good reason to just quietly retire him, that the "real life" boco had died in a tragedy of some kind. Now to my own theory, this isn't a fully formed theory but my guess is that Hall isn't the character's real name, the name of Donald's guard wasn't Hall so that isn't it, Michael Creedy was the name of the guard. However I don't think that's it, in the episode Donald made it clear the kids and the widow knew it wasn't Henry's fault. No I think the reason maybe tied with another of the deaths in the series, that of Arthur and his crash. However I don't think it's anyone who is related to anyone who was on board, remember what happened when a woman looked inside the train? She went mad, if that happened to a family member of mine, I'd want revenge on steam engines as a whole. Also Geffery died on Gordon's hill, I checked the wiki just to be sure, if this was just about the kipper incident, then Hall would want Henry dead but it's clear he's after more than just henry or even Donald. If I had to put my money on Hall's relation to that woman, I'd say her son(Imagine being the son of a woman driven mad by looking into the window of a train, you'd be angry as hell) also the name Hall is tied with a ghost story I think. Now I also have a guess as to who is next to die.....I think it'll be Joey....he's a threat to Hall, if I was Hall, Joey would naturally be my next target as to remove the investigator into the case from my trail. But that's just my thought(Also there's a tank engine on the image of Edward but we can only see it's right back section).
tbh I don't think the gaurd in sabotage isn't Robert halls father given that the name of the guard was Michael creedy some have said that it was the guard on Lilly's train in spectre however the guard was named Richard Payton so whi knows who Roberts dad could be
Don't take the characters that appear in the intro as engines that will be present to the current day. Geoffrey appears multiple times in them, but he dies in this season, which brings up a few possibilities. 1. Geoffrey's death was perhaps added later on after the intro was made. 2. He could be brought back or someone very similar to him be built(much like Arthur), or 3. It might be meant to throw us off on who's getting killed.
I don’t think Thomas would die. I say that because if you look at the prologue of the series, Victor was showing scenes of modern day Sodor. Thomas was involved in those scenes, so it’s likely he would be alive. However, I would suspect everyone thought he was dead. One of the season 5 episodes is called Munitions, which I suspect it would be based on the Tugs episode with the same name. Being like Ten Cents, I would imagine Thomas will do what Ten Cents did in the Tugs episode. Act as a hero, everyone thought he blew up, and Thomas returns covered with burned marks, but alive.
Great theory! Off topic but I want to ask how you feel about the shorter length of Vandalism? Do you think it's going to be like that for most of the season or do you think the episodes will get longer as the seasons go on?
Besides Victor doing it for the 10 minute monetization mark, this season takes place over one single year. Thus, the Stories would be shorter than the previous seasons since they took place over multiple years.
First Henry gets blamed for Lily's death and now Mr. Halls "Father's" Death??? It seems like Henry is the easiest to blame for stuff that wasn't even his fault.
@@e.k2261 true but, must if them wasn't his fault and its not far he's getting blamed for it. But to the original thomas its Percy who has the most accidents.
I want to pitch the idea that Barry was apart of Mr.Hall's experiment in steam turbines, now steam turbines has been around for a long long longgg time, but it is the only extreme experiment I can think of that would cause so many heads to turn in The Stories Of Sodor
I'll lay out a collage for Victor Tanzig on what replacements are due for the next season of Stories of Sodor. My thought in mind was David from the Clinchfield Curse movie. He can handle freight and the Flying Kipper just as well as Geoffrey.
I had the same thought after watching the episode but then I remembered that the last name of the guard was Creedy, but then again his wife likely could have remarried or Robert could have changed his last name or maybe he changed his first and last name to hide away as he likely was planing this for a while but the theory does add up
If y'all remember this, but before victor switch to Trainz 2019 he released a preview for a episode for season five. and it revolved around toby and how he caused a heart attack for the station master of elsbridge. Then we're shown the ghost of that station master watching over the scene as Toby talks to his driver. What if old mungrle mqcoll is a ghost too?
It could be an engine like Harvey except he might have a gun turret on top and mr hall might use and manipulate the engine to take over sodor, just a theory?
I wonder if the episode experiment will be about that new engine being previously dead like Frankenstein. But it’s possible that if this theory pans out they might be able to save Geoffrey.
about the experimental engine, no he's actually the one we see in scps of sodor prologue as they're literally the same model but it wouldn't make sense for him to be built in 1965..
What do you mean, alive? You mean where his eyes were half open? If it is that, then I disagree with that for two reasons. 1. It is noted that Geoffrey's model doesn't have a face where his eyes are fully closed. Plus, people can die even if their eyes are open after all and his face expression does look to be really dead there. 2. Victor's Patreon. I have access to episode 2 early this week and I can't say futher more because spoilers.
Something I just realized from the trailer: In the background of the fallout when Edward says "Not all of us would live to see it's end", Donald appears to be on his side next to the explosion, meaning he might "bite the bullet"
About who dies in this season, I highly doubt that Thomas will be killed. He shouldn't be, as this Island is most known for him, and would never be the same without him. Plus, he CAN'T be killed because he's the mascot of this whole franchise, and for another thing, what would Rev Wilbert Awdry think of one of the most important Sodor engines being done in? I get he would be greatly annoyed and enraged at this, and probably do something about it to enact vengeance. Perhaps, anyway since, as I said, Thomas WON'T be killed in this season. Besides, there's the fact that the "Munitions" will be based off of the same-named "TUGS" one. And in that one, at the ending part, it almost looks like Ten Cents got killed, but he makes out of it alive and rather messed up. So I highly believe that since Thomas in this series is based on Ten Cents, who, by the way, is also in it, it's completely likely that the entire same thing will happen to Thomas in this show. And another quick thing, I have really hated Benson since he first appeared, and I've wanted him killed for quite a while. So I just know that HE will be killed in the "Munitions" episode. And when he does, I hope much of the engines will be glad about finally getting rid of that outrageous prat. And even express it as well.
They obviously will NOT let Hall Dieselize Sodor. He can't do that, as Sodor is SUPPOSED to have steam engines. And I know that The Fat Controller will NEVER let Hall get away with that. He sees the use for both steam and diesel, and should not have his Island consist of ONLY diesels. It will NEVER work, and the Island itself would just get more messed up than it already has been so far with what Hall's already done.
We do know there’s going to be an explosion at a real yard due to the trailer sometime in the series so any bets on who is probably going to get killed then (to make it easier it’s stander gauge)
I FORGOT ABOUT THE KIPPER. I thought halls dad designed henry in my second theory. But this vid made me realize it was most likely hallls dad was the guard in the van henry crashed into. Plus the kipper was in like 1936 or 38. I now subscribe to the hall dad was killed in kipper wreck theory.
Maybe Thomas actually survives the munitions disaster but is left in a critical condition like how Miguel Diaz was at the end of season 2 of Cobra Kai.
Um I have a theory for this. Your idea might be right on mr hall, but what if it's the wrong mr hall. Donald said the guard that died had two sons. What if Mr Hall is good, helping the railways and trying to make sure that something like what happened with his father would never affect another family like his, but his brother went down a darker path. Mr Hall might be looking and keeping an eye on Henry at the end of episode one with some suspicions of henry being the target not by a random attacker, but his brother. This is just a shot in the dark, but what if it comes to light that Mr. Hall's brother is behind the death of Geoffery and is the plotter behind this. He could be using a different name and no one recognizes him. Episode 8 maybe where he is found out or caught, but it is too late as his true vengeance will occur in episode nine, to take down the railway that killed his father? Is this a bit crazy, maybe, but it popped into my head and will not leave.
Well I am awake And it’s time to do my information but not only that my own plot theory twist but I’m also going to be adding timestamps and add some of my opinions before I say my twist 8:11 it shows Donald laying down with his eyes closed. I don’t think he’s dead. I think he’s like out cold, but he’s away from the explosion which got me thinking. Did someone sacrifice themselves to save him and that’s when I thought what if it’s Thomas that saved his live because Annie and Clarabel being in the front of the other engines. Well, they looked all sad, but that’s just one of them that I thought of. 8:15 the last timestamp I said, Thomas, dies by sacrificing himself to save Donald, and even if that’s not the case, he probably still perishes in the series because Edward looks sad at the scrap engine. He’s looking at to his right doesn’t the back of that engine look familiar? 1:38 OK my plot theory why does it show the guy with a mustache and after that it shows explosives and then after that a disaster and I got thinking what if it’s his brother that’s doing all this because why would Victor show the main villain in the very beginning people could just be on the side of tracks, just looking at the passing trains because remember the father who died from Henry had two boys and why would Victor say oh you’re half right? Well I think it’s his brother that’s doing all this and not the one we have seen but that’s just my plot theory but what’s your theory everybody????🤔
Just learned the guy from the works was the one that was responsible for Jeffry’s death but didn’t notice cause the models in that game all look nearly the same
Tbh honest I think Mr hall would manipulate douglas into helping him by reminding him that henry was the reason why lily is dead then we would see a final battle, douglas vs henry and Mr hall vs sir top ham hat
I feel that when we see farmer Mc coal in the newest episode it was most likely intended to be him or related to him, why else would he use his model specifically and it would possibly make sense why he wants revenge on the railway, along with this with experiment it is very clearly the same model that Barry uses I believe with the same number, the the scp’s of sodor we see him with different faces that somewhat resemble Oliver’s idk what this could mean but it’s there
"why else would he use his model specifically" Maybe because there wasn't another farmer model that was different? I personally think that farmer isn't McColl at all and is just a generic farmer in general.
i think mr halls dad was involved in the flying kipper accident and wants to take revenge and he thought henry was pulling the kipper so he placed the pipe on the line
Haha I originally theorized that Mr Hall might be the son of the guard who died in the Flying Kipper crash, especially since the saboteur attacked the Flying Kipper but I didn't post it just in case it turned out to be a spoiler... turns out everyone else was on the same page haha!
So here’s what I think about munitions Considering most of season 1 and season 4’s episode “storm” , the episode munitions will probably be just like the Tugs episode. In said episode (spoilers) Ten Cents is presumed dead but comes back at the end due to Grampus Ten cent’s character (not the SoS ten cents but tugs) is portrayed by Thomas And Grampus is portrayed by whiff So I think Thomas is going to be presumed dead but comes back at the end of the episode with the help of Whiff.
I think the farmer is a different farmer that used the same model. You can only do so much with Trainz after all. I do believe Hall was the son of the dead father guard. Barry, if it is him, looks like he has Oliver's face instead of his fan made face. In regard to the experiment, maybe they were trying to help bring steam back on top, which I understand as it's a wish of many railfans, including myself, to see that happen, even today we hope steam will make a comeback. The whole law thing is probably just nonsense that's been spreaded after engines were tempered by fear. Engines getting killed has scared me. I hope it's not Donald that's been killed, though evidence seems to prove otherwise. TBH, I'd rather kill off Douglas so he could be with Lily in Heaven. I'm also hoping Peter doesn't get killed as he's my favorite. I hope they don't kill off Thomas, I'd be devastated, and no offense to Victor, but you'd have to be a madman to kill Thomas. I know Edward is the main character, but Thomas is still the poster boy. And are we forgetting that Munitions is based off the TUGS series episode of the same name, in which Ten Cents (Thomas' Counterpart) survives an explosion. Most likely Thomas will survive this too. As for Justin (The real name of the Jinty engine in Victor's Series), he's probably just a new engine to the line to help out with the increasing work load. This is all just my beliefs of course.
Personally I doubt it's Mr hall, since it would be easier to switch the labels of black and green water, which would be more effective and not have any consequences
I have a nagging feeling that Douglas is gonna die this season. If we're assuming Mr Hall's father was the guard Henry killed in Sabotage, he might also hold Donald accountable. It would make sense for him to target the person Donald cares about the most.
I hugely hope Hall gets severely arrested and/or killed for his evil actions in this season. Right off the bat, I already hate him with a passion, especially with what he did to Geoffrey. And I want him gone right away! At least hope his demise happens by the "Fallout" episode.
This theory is pretty good. I think Hall put the pipe on the line to get Henry killed. But ended up killing Geoffrey instead, I’m betting he was the son of the father who was killed in the kipper accident. Great vid
@@VibeClubVids No, it would be Friday for you still. By east, Zanzu means those that live on the east side of the world (which isn't fully true). Basically, it is coming out on Saturday but only in Australia and New Zealand. Stories of Sodor is uploaded at 12am in Australia (the NSW region). When it's 12am Saturday there, it would be 9am Friday for you. So for you, it comes out on Friday morning.
Honestly when I saw the ending of s5 ep1 I immediately suspected hall to be behind Geoffrey’s death and everything else that occurred throughout the episode.
I don't think any canon characters, be it Rosie or Thomas, will die and frankly that's a good thing, not only because of their plot importance but also because, without someone like Thomas the series wouldn't nearly have the same amount of pull. Revoking the rights seems impossible, only maybe temporarily, as the Sodor Special takes place during modern day and they still have the rights if Edward is to be believed.
