I have a large mud bug from a vintage tackle box, It was pretty beat so I repainted with a silver metallic spray paint and added sharpie details. I have caught lake trout with it when they are working in rocky shallow areas. Bouncing off the rocks on the bottom.

Great video, appreciate the history lesson. I still throw mud bugs for smallmouth here in New Hampshire. These baits come off rocks and fish just slam them.

That first bass was a chunk! Nice job! Never understand why some goofs would say "Anyone can catch a fish out of that pond." So what! Better to fish a pond where that can be said than a pond where no one can catch anything.

My first crankbait and it caught a lot of fish. I wish they would still make it. Thin metal lip literally indestructible
