Salt your burgers after making the patty. Salting then mixing turns them into rubbery disks. It's exactly why this burger didn't stay smashed on the griddle.

if you watched it then you seen his biscuits were uneatable. Cooking is way different under a time limit and a competiton vs cooking for a bunch of guys that are hungry. I could never do a show like that.

I watched the entire season 3 just the other day and I believe in fair game to be honest. I can't speak for everyone when I say this, but some people make mistakes when under a lot of pressure. He did burn the bottoms of the biscuits and ultimately he slightly overcooked his fish, therefore I think the judges were fair in their decisions. I was rooting for him the entire show and it was a shame that he didn't win, but you can't win at everything in life.

Kent i just wanna say it was a treat to watch you on the bbq netflix special. You were a true gentleman on the show very polite and cordial. I for one notice that you stepped back and let the other contestants fight over what to cook first and then took what was left most times cooking woth something you said you never cooked before. Bravo kent! You did great. I just wish they'd have given you more screen time.

I'm from Toronto area originally, but traveled all over north america on a hand full of road trips. Seen so many different cultures and eaten alot of different food from place to place. I once went to Cuba for a week and had by far the best pizza and burgers out of this little shack on the beach. And your burger actually reminds me alot of that burger from Cuba.

Watching this video at the very end when you mentioned no matter what's going on in our lives meant a lot. I live in Katy Texas, just west of Houston and we have been dealing with a vast majority of the area without power from Hurricane Beryl. I was without power since Monday at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="375">6:15</a>am up until around 7pm Wednesday. The heat and no power was getting too much. Thankfully the power is back on now and I can watch your video and God bless you Kent.

I was in a little joint in Hondo, Texas. I ordered a chicken fried steak and told the waitress I wanted enchilada sauce and cheese on it instead of gravy. She looked at me like I was insane, but they did it. it was incredible.

That’s fantastic! What you also made was New Mexico enchiladas. All that’s missing is the egg on top. My late mom used to make that. When we were stationed in the Netherlands, we were able to find green chile in a can from Hatch. So we had the New Mexico enchilada. My mom was born and raised in New Mexico.

Mr. Rollins, I live just south of Houston. I’ve been through hurricanes before. But this one was the worst. Big old oak trees are down. One crushed my neighbors SUV. My house is okay. Just got my internet back an hour ago. Still no power, I’m on my generator right now. Fuel is getting difficult to find. Pearland and Brazoria county seems to be the last to get power back. (from what I’ve seen and heard) That’s okay, When Ike hit us ,I was without power for 2 weeks. The first video I’ve seen was yours. I really enjoy watching. At lest we had a warning of the storm. When tornadoes strike you folks in Oklahoma get VERY little warning. Y’all be safe and Blessed. Big Texas seeyalaterbye 🤠

Kent. I love your idea of enchilada burger! Don’t know how you come up with these but I truly enjoy watching. Might try this but with subtitles. I'm so happy to have found your channel. You were mentioned on Troy Black. I grew up with my Grandparents and everytime we went camping or just sometimes for fun on the farm Grandpa would make these kinds of recipes and they always cooked coffee the way you do. That coffee smell in the morning was bliss - even as a kid. I'll be looking in the basement. I just know I still have one of his old coffee pots. God bless you and the hard work you all do. Oh my the creations you make are unreal looking good. I couldn't eat half the food you make. (Portion wise) I fixed a prime rib for the 4th. Did it your way deep fried it.
