In the players guide, it mentions the gorons and zoras making the tunics specifically for the fragile hylians, so that way they can hang out in volcanos, lake beds, etc
It’s up there in the greatest of all time category tho my own personal fav Zelda’s above it are Majora (cause it’s dark and creepy) and Wind Waker cause I love the art style
Maybe everyone knows this, but I discovered it recently. In Link's House, in Kokiri Forest, next to the bed is a poster with Link's Records, such as: spiders squished, largest fish caught, marathon time, horse race time and horseback archery 😮
Good video! I've been playing Ocarina of Time for ages and I actually never even noticed that shark at the bottom of the lakeside laboratory! That's actually kind of creepy, but cool! I hope you'll eventually do a Mysteries video on Majora's Mask as well!
Fun fact, if you manage to make your way into the Forest Temple as child and make it to one of the Poe Sister paintings, you can see that the slingshot isn't actually capable of destroying the paintings. The progression of requiring the bow to beat the dungeon still applies even if you have access to the slingshot, so it works almost like how it does in Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword - where you start with the slingshot and later upgrade to the bow. It could just be a coincidence, but I like to think that it was meant to work like that at some point in development.
I loved this video. This game has spun so many mysteries, hoaxes, and questions. It will remain forever relevant. It truly is a game that lives up to its reputation and beyond.
I like to think the Poe Collector was indeed the guard from when Link was a child, and he was actually Ganondorf’s inside man that opened the gates for him and his minions to launch a surprise attack towards the end of the kid Link portion of the game. As the Poe Collector, he speaks respectfully of Ganondorf and hopes the world gets even worse. As the guard, he defected to Ganon in order to create troubled times and thus more Poes as people died tragic deaths and became resentful spirits. Nice guy.
Majora's mask always been my favorite Zelda game over ocarina of Time I just like the difficulty of it and you can find secrets and everything to get all of the masks I heard the Japanese version it's even harder because you don't get the owl statues to save
I always thought of the young Link items that are locked is because they all rotted over 7 years since they are made of wood or are seeds. While it doesn't make sense why adult Link couldn't get deku sticks himself I'd guess they wanted to be consistent with that reasoning. It is rather sad that you basically get the boomerang and only have the remaining Jabu Belly and half of the Spirit Temple to use it, since its so handy. I guess a possible reason for the fairies getting out of bottles in this game is that Navi could help them escape but I believe I read somewhere that the small fairies are tasked with helping the hero on his journey and recognize you as him.
@jiggylookback a lot of old games had references to each other, Banjo Tooie in the original Nintendo 64 version explicitly references Mario, so wouldn't surprise me if the shark wasn't some inside joke between the Ocarina of Time and Banjo Kazooie teams.
The fairy comes out of the bottle Kuz Link falls on it while ☠️ing, shattering the glass and getting broken glass in his gut, but the fairy immediately heals all that 😹 great episode! Majora’s Mask next?!?! 😻
You know what I hate about Zelda games with plugs my nerves they always give you an item at the end of the game which you can only use one time because at the end of the game every item that you get before then you can use it throughout the game except for the last item I hate that they might as well not even give you an item
@jiggylookback i always assumed that when ganon took over it was like a nuke, everyone in hyrule city fot changed. The zombies on the market place are the ppl that used to dance there
Great episode. By the way, I was wondering how you got the videos where the camera would investigate and swirl around the entire area in HD (like at 6:30). Are those from a video you found, or did you record them yourself with an emulator and first-person cheat tool?
@@therealstickfingers I record them myself. There is a website you can use a camera tool in environments in games and then I create the path and everything for them. Then I record it in obs and edit the footage in my editing software. It’s a cool tool but very limited with what games it has. Which is why I don’t use it for every game I cover. I will be looking into emulation tools in the future honestly so I can cover more games.
To be fair the Link in MM is slightly older and stronger. He got more toned and is able to do flips in his jumps so seeing him use a bow and adult sized shields isn't that surprising.
@@JoltJin good point about the flips. He’s certainly stepped up his game. Do you think an adult Link form the MM timeline would grow up to be far stronger physically then the adult link through time travel in OOT?
@@obnoxiousoboe oooohhhh the fierce diety is so much more. In my original Gaming Mysteries video I covered 1 mystery from a bunch of random games and one of those was Majora’s Mask. I talked about the fierce diety. If you haven’t watched that you should totally go check that out!
I’m gonna say two things: 1: I have no need to get over myself because these are made for fun 2: there actually is a lore reason for these other tunics and it’s not “game limitations” which is the lamest argument for anything in a video game
