the "magic number" 111 is actually an angel number! that's so cool! wish there was more puzzles and intricacies to the box but it was beautiful and fun video to watch.

It feels like you got lucky on this one. A lot of jiggling got that cylinder out without using the symbols and clues to do it sequentially. It also feels like the cylinder itself should open to reveal the final solve.

I would have loved to see more done with the cherubim on the sides as well as the one that was just a figure. Not to mention the wings on the top of the box. I feel like there was a ton of potential for so much more on that box.

The hand is quicker than the eye, and so is a rubber band under when it's tension is released. "Decent close up work Chris, better than I could do, but I thought I was seeing double for a bit, and see a part that shouldn't be seen by the audience.

For the final solve, I think the story has an order that you were supposed to use. Hence the triangles and circles.

Those symbols are Angelic Zibu Symbols the lost language of the angels the four one the top are Universal Love, Creativity, Vitality, and Beacon Of Hope

I recognized the magic square in this one immediately. I read Lost Symbol by Dan Brown and he used that magic square as a plot point. Now, whenever I see a 6x6 grid with the numbers 15/16 side by side, I always think of it. I really enjoy your puzzle videos. Can't wait for the next one. By the way, what was the piano music at the start of the video? I really enjoyed it, but Sound Hound couldn't recognize it.

I'm half and half on whether this was actually a good puzzle box or not. Besides the fact that a lot of the "flavor" (the angel, poem, etc) was ultimately irrelevant to the puzzle both in the solution itself and in pointing towards a viable solution, it very much feels like the idea to use "magic square maths" to find the solution came out of left field. If there was any indication that the numbers were meant to be added, I did not see it in this video and very much applaud you, Chris, for figuring that out.

Nice, it's creator must have the same problem I do, I am always seeing 111. I started to wonder what it meant so I did some research, and everywhere on youtube they say 111 or 1111 are Angel numbers. Weird right!! I've been seeing these numbers for more than 20 years. l

Fun fact, part of the reason its called an angle puzzle box is because the magic square in the middle, the main part of the puzzle, is called a magic square because every row and column equals up to the same number, which in this case is 111, frequently referred to as an "Angel number"

Ended up with the impression that something was skipped in some way, or missed. The phrases, symbols, the cylinder being just... a cylinder? If that'd be the case, then it'd also be a lot of wasted 3d printing material, why make such a huge solid chunk of... whatever that's made of? Anyway, the puzzle did indeed look gorgeous, imposing presence without a doubt.

For a comprehensive treatment of the hardest kind of magic squares to create, I recommend the book by Dame Kathleen Ollerenshaw (formerly Lord Mayor of Manchester among many other elevated posts) and David Brée (formerly Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Manchester), "Most-perfect Pandiagonal Magic Squares", published in 1998 by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, Southend-on-Sea. It was a real challenge to typeset, being absolutely crammed with maths and fiddly tables!

9 squares per quadrant, 4 quadrants so 36 numbers (1-36), total sum is 666. If you divide by 4, it's 166.5, which wouldn't work if you wanted each quandrant to be equal. Then if you look at rows or columns, thats 6 rows or 6 columns, 666/6 = 111. Add up and outside row or column and you see that you get 111.

Seems broken... If no understanding of how it was set free, other than random fiddling... then it's not actually a puzzle, because one way of fiddling opens it faster. That would be like any key opening a lock, but the correct key opens it faster. I think the bearings were intended to act as limiters against the "cylinders". The magnets, with specific cylinders, should have pulled the bearings out of the way, as you rotate it to the limited positions. A horrible concept of "tumbler-lock" plus "rotating combination lock", combined. The top bearing was just to keep the center held in place, trough the rotations, so the bearings could be "picked-up" by the magnets, lifting the tumbler pins? (That part is still confusing. I didn't see where they "fell from".)

If you add the horizontal row it turns out = 111 the number of angels. The same if you add the vertical row = 111. Whenever in the missing pieces you have to put the numbers that will give you 111.

This is one of the vids i was definitely screaming at the screen about. Only cause i recognized the magic square immediately. This is a tough one to figure without the oddly esoteric backround designed into the puzzle.

When you talk about Sudoku you need to calculate the sum of the lines. Not quadrants. So the magic number is 111.

You had the rubber band wrapped around your rings finger twice. It would have been your right ring finger but to us looking at it was your left ring finger. Go back and watch the video very careful you'll see the other ones are about.
