THE MYSTERY OF BATAK PEOPLE EAT PEOPLE IN HUTA SIALLAGAN - SAMOSIR REGENCY - LAKE TOBA

It is said that at the time when King Siallagan still embraced his belief, the king applied very heinous punishments to try criminals or violators of local customs, such as thieves, murderers, rapists, or war opponents. To determine the punishment, King Siallagan along with the empress and traditional elders held a meeting in the middle of the village.
It is located under the sacred Hariara tree. Where there are chairs made of stone and encircled a stone table, that place is now called the Parsidangan Stone.
The meeting was held with the aim of determining what punishment was appropriate for the defendant. Using the Batak traditional calendar, King Siallagan together with traditional elders determined the time for the meeting and also the time to try the accused.
If proven to have violated and the defendant must be beheaded, the defendant is brought to the second series of Batu Parsidangan. The place is behind the first series. The first and second set of stones are not that different. However, there is a long concave stone where the defendant is beheaded.
The procedure for the beheading is not just slashing and then finished, however, they still have to go through various processes.
The historian said that first of all, the defendant was blindfolded and his hands were tied using an ulos cloth. Then the defendant was laid down on a flat rock that was quite high. Furthermore, his body will be cut into pieces to test his invulnerability.
