Just to let you know I did *NOT* make the audio. So, if you think “Romania is fish” or “Austria is a chicken leg” well its not my fault. Same thing for things like, “Where’s Cyprus” or “You forgot Botswana” I assure you that every single country is there. Also, about the pentagon thing, it was just a simple mistake.
oh. my. god. i watched this a couple years ago before i was in the osc, and before i even knew what it was. so, i clicked onto this, saw that i'd already liked it, and realized that this was not only object-show *styled,* but was also made by an osc member!
@@nintendoisepicpcsucks bro alot of Africans have devices now, including egyptians, we're not some weird country that doesnt have access to internet and electronic devices, practically everyone has one
What a five days well spent!! Thanks so much for this! The extra visual layer like this is all that was really missing from the original even if they got close. This is effectively a music video
@@Sp9i well it's not truly an animation but you know people will come and say wow good song here my soul take it So just letting people know that's all
The French call their country "l'Hexagone" when it looks like a pentagon and that has always bothered me. Seeing this illustrated, even if it was unintentional, made me feel good and laugh.😂
But it is a hexagon, Starting from the North going clockwise, the faces are : - Ardennes* and Vosges mountain chain - Alps mountain chain - Mediterranean Sea - Pyrenees mountain chain - Atlantic Ocean - Channel Sea Edit : I suck at geography and got one of the features wrong (*)
@@dr.blockcraft6633 Then you'll have a hard time convincing us to change it because we actually use this hexagon representation quite often as it is grounded in the geographic features of the country's borders and holds a certain significance culturally and economically.
@@Soken50 Oh no, I'm Not trying To convince Anyone to Change it. I'm just Being pedantic. Call it As many Sides as You want. No number Of "sides" Would be Properly correct, Due to The fractal-like Nature of Country boarders And coastlines And stuff. If you Look at The map I sent In the Edit, you Can see There more Sides that Weren't taken Into account In the 35. Depending on The detail, You Could Probably count 69 Sides, or 99 or However many Sides you Want. 35 is Also incorrect.
I was honestly shocked that it took 5 whole days, I couldn’t do this in 5 months and you put this masterpiece together in under a week? That’s amazing!
At least in France itself, it's usually considered to be a hexagon. It's about half way between a hexagon and pentagon in my opinion. The bottom side of the pentagon is two sides of the hexagon.
@@TheLowlyApprentice well i get it, but i'm not ex3mely yelling egypt (The 3rd comment of this comment? Nah, you don’t get it. [I searched really hard but "extremely" was just the thing i'm looking for..] )
My only criticism of the original video is that they didn’t work in how Austria looks like a tennis racket, or how Romania looks like someone with a giant pout.
This was in my recommended & I'm glad I watched this! Being a Geography nerd, I guessed Egypt right at the beginning, but then was hooked till the end! Fantastic video! 😄
@@wah8974 No, Zeeland is in the Netherlands. Zealand is in Denmark. I can't stress enough they are not the same thing. Also, I didn't know about Sealand. They probably didn't include it because it isn't recognised by the U.N..
1:38 Both the USA and Canada has squares in large amounts, but we're only counting countries and states don't count. Canada: *laughs in provinces and territories*
@@donkekung4150 nope that goes to Japan , Egypt want an official country until a while back it was … how do I explain it , let’s just say it wasn’t an official country
This is amazing! I love how you added character and expressions to the countries! The animation itself is very nicely made, and very creative! The fact it only took you 5 days to make is absolutely insane-
I saw this video a while ago but it just popped up in my recommended and I just had a massive “hey wait a second…” moment after I discovered BFDI recently
I like how even like the original, you just showed a single part of the Maldives and was like "Yup, good enough". When you see a zoomed-out map of the Maldives, the country is very much an oval shape. And I think a better description for the Comoros would be a bunch of dinosaur heads...Geography Now described them that way and I can't unsee it

If Bolivia expanded then a square it just might be Countine in replies
"And both Koreas are short and squat" officially, we don't recognize each other as separate nations. We view ourselves as ONE Korea with two different governments, the DPRK in the north and the ROK in the south. Though we both claim that we are the rightful government of all of Korea. Because of how complex the situation is, those with ROK passports can't visit the DPRK and vice versa
Wow! This was amazing! I guessed Egypt right but also thought Suriname and the couple others like you did. But the highest praise must come from the fact your descriptions reminded me of the likely videos that made RU-vid suggest it. Watching several videos of Yakko's World and ones like it. Yes, I think this could pass as an Animaniacs bit.
I checked, and yes, they included every country with the exception of Micronations like Sealand, Molossia, etc., Disputed/partially recognized territories such as Taiwan, Palestine, etc., Territories of countries, and Antarctica, which is (according to some people) not technically a country.
I animate in FlipaClip some, so I’m just absolutely amazed that you could do something so impressive in 5 days, knowing how long it takes me to make something! Very impressive! (Also, how do you get audio into your project? I use the free version of it if that changes anything)
