The Mystery of Zipper T. Bunny in Animal Crossing New Horizons 

Who do you think Zipper is? A hired villager, human, or perhaps something / someone else?

Imagine unzipping the zipper, and the person underneath the costume looks identical to the costume itself

“I, like many others, grabbed my axe and headed into the woods looking for blood” Wow. That got dark fast.

He once referred to me and the villagers as “earthlings” so he’s most definitely not from earth lol

I looked at Zipper’s back and here is what he said “Whoa there! Why are you looking at my back? Nothin’ to see! *I told you, that zipper is...is just for decoration.” but yesterday I was playing really late on night and I didn’t sleep but the weirdest thing was all the animals kept saying I need to go to bed sleep or something it’s strange

He's a depressed college student who needs more money.

If you speak to Zipper while being behind him he'll become angry and tell you to stop looking at his back. I think there are 3 or 4 box of dialogue where he is more and more pissed off.

The eyes of his suit blink, and he apparently invaded the dreams of one of my villagers. He mutates the wildlife with his mere presence. This is no mere specter, I believe this to be an Old One. He is clearly malicious, always talking about his "bunny plan" of course the plan is evil.

“I just wanted to live a simple life, hiding eggs in every place imaginable. But you had to ruin it. My name is yoshik... ahem... Zipper...”

Fun Fact: In german his name is "Ohs der Hase" which when spoken sounds like "Osterhase". In english it would be like he was called: "Eas the bunny" which kind of sound like "Easterbunny"...

I've been the mall Easter Bunny for two seasons. You're not allowed to talk and it's really hot. One kid shoved his hand up into my head piece and grabbed the back of my neck and was like "YOU'RE NOT THE REAL EASTER BUNNY." It was the most terrifying moment in my life. I thought he may strangle me for my lies.

Zipper was always strange. The first time i found him i crossed a river, went to hit a tree then he jumped out behind the tree and scared the absolute hell out of me. He always said something strange any time you would talk to him. I also disliked his hops, he made them seem like something out of baldi’s basics or something. Also considering the zipper to make it a bit scarier.

It's s beautiful day on your new island. You talk to your favorite neighbor, (n/a), and they ask you for some peaches. You happily accept their offer and go out looking for the succulent fruit. You find a peach tree, and they rain down along with... An egg? How did that happen? Not only just an egg, but a painted egg. You think maybe it's just a prank one of your friends is playing on you, and disregard it. You grab the peaches and the egg and take the peaches back to your neighbor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Later that day, after doing some more chores and finding more eggs in trees, you decide to go fishing to get away from the eggs. "Where did they come from? Who is the one hiding them?" you think as you make your way to the ocean. You arrive at your favorite fishing spot... and see something in the water! "This is why this is my favorite spot! There's always a fish waiting to be caught!" you say to yourself in an ecstatic tone. You throw out your line... and get a bite! You have a short battle with what you believe to be a fish, but manage to reel it in. "Like taking candy from a ba-" you cut yourself off as you realize... It's another egg. You hear footsteps behind you. Before you can save yourself, you're under the water, slowly getting dragged down by a current. You look up to see who attacked you... It's someone in a yellow bunny suit. They take of their mask... And you seem black mist. It starts swirling and forming some sort of shape... A face. Your face. You stare in shock, not realizing that you stopped fighting the current and are being dragged slowly away from the island... The other you waves goodbye as you drift off into the sea... People seem to always leave out the fact Animal Crossing already has a living stuffed animal, robots, gyroid, and a clay statue/gyroid character. And if you look at Cornimer the disguises usually arent that elaborate.

Obviously, he is the man behind the slaughter.

Maybe he was alive, but suffocated to death in the costume, cursed to stay in it forever~~~. SpOoOoOOpy~

I always thought Zipper was someone who actually loves Bunny Day, but no one else appreciates it, so he tries to hype it up a lot more. This drains a lot of energy from him, however, and when he can, he'll let loose when no one is around.

I just love the theory that he is William Afton.

Zipper is just Glitchtrap who infected Animal Crossing. He existed even before Five Nights began... ALL HAIL THE GOLDEN BUNNY!!

Notice that certain villagers aknowledge the egg day being a thing since they were a CHILD (like coco who hurt her head into a tree and eggs fell of when she was a child). So that means Zipper might be an entity more than one guy in a custume, but a family tradition perhaps

Honestly I feel sorry for him. He's doing a job he clearly hates and everyone (even the players irl) hate him. He's pretty much just how a mascot is treated irl.

I dunno man. According to his appearance he could actually look the way he looks, as his zipper is on his overalls rather than him and we see him blink normally. But he continually mentions he's in a costume... His laments over his job don't really fit in with him being the spirit of Easter, as the spirit of a holiday probably wouldn't complain about their own holiday. His exhaustion is probably due to him placing eggs in such abnormal places, requiring him to put in an immense amount of work. If it is someone in a suit, why? Why dress up as a rabbit if you're already an animal? If it was a human... who? Another human in your gameworld, trying to fit in as an animal? A developer maybe? Zipper T. Bunny s an absolute enigma, sorta like Sans in a way. We know their shtick and what they're about, but we don't know how Sans teleports nor why he bleeds blood. For Zipper we don't know whether he's an animal, human, spirit or whatever, nor how he gets eggs everywhere.

The creepiest thing I came across with Zipper is that when you try to use a reaction in front of him, he stops hopping and stares you down, menacingly.

Ok, this may sound overused, and it’s similar to the whole “It’s Timmy and Tommy just stacked on top of each other in a bunny costume” or its “Tom Nook is behind it all” but did anyone think that Isabelle could be the one in the costume? It does seem like something she would do. Another possibility: it’s a past villager from another AC game that ended up getting cut out from New Horizons.

I've always thought the same that Zipper gets offended by being asked if he's wearing a costume because he literally IS the costume. I've just had this feeling he's a costume brought to life or something and paid minimum wage to dance around once a year and then go home.

Literally everyone has a dark or spiritual story behind Zipper, even Swanky What if the zipper on his back was simply the zipper for his overalls, and unzipping it basically just exposes him..... that sounds way more disturbing than the dark stories, actually

Zipper is just glitchtrap from fnaf vr which escaped the game and accidentally ended up in a kid friendly game and the only way he can reek havoc is by ruining the environment

Speaking of the realism of animal crossing, Clay said some hilarious stuff to me. He said there was a rumor going around that we lived in a game. Nothing makes sense. How can one tree produce 3 kinds of wood? Then he says he’s joking of course their world is real.

I'm pretty sure he is the costume, kind of like how Stitches is a living teddy bear. His eyes and mouth move. When he mentions how hot it is and how hard it is to breath, I think he's referring to his uncomfortable, undersized overalls.

I'm from germany and in a dialoge he said "Erdbewohner" to me wich translates to "Earthvillager". So probably he's an alien.

I remember making an edit of an ACNH screenshot of Zipper making a joke about how he looks like SpringTrap (having no knowledge of the ac series), only to find out that he was a person in a costume. It was the weirdest discovery ever

I realized that Zipper may be Tommy, he usually is never seen, and Zippers full name is Zipper T! Bunny! I also realized that it may be a deppressed and forced villager who is forced to do it, because when you walk away he stops jumping and sighs, and when he doesnt see you, he doesnt jump! Unless you go behind him while he doesnt notice.. and hit him with somthing! Somthing triggers him to start jumping again...

The first time I played new leaf and on ‘bunny day’ I found an earth egg and proceeded to dig up six more. When he told me I already had it I cried.

I’ve seen several people saying he’s tortimer which kinda make sense because of the T in Zipper T bunny and the fact that he sighs and stops jumping when you get far enough (because he’s old) I really hope this is true because that would eliminate the rumor of him being dead.

It's interesting that we question the zipper on his back but some how the other regular villagers we don't question much. Some villagers are based on inanimate objects, food, and robots.

Yeah.... Even when you play pocket camp, and stare at his back, he will go off on you. So maybe it's some kind of character that's glitched and is pretty horrifying, and they wear a costume to cover it, so they're sensitive about it? Or he's just an intern who is overworked?
