After a long wait, we will finally be able to play as our favorite gunfighter in Red Dead Redemption multiplayer: Landon Ricketts! This September, Rockstar games is releasing an entirely FREE fan appreciation pack entitled "Myths and Mavericks" that will include, among new multiplayer locations, fan-demanded characters. The first character announced was none other than the Legend of the West. So for all the Ricketts fans, for Rockstar Games, and in memory of Ross Hagen, who so brilliantly brought Landon to life by lending his voice, I present you with Johnny Western's "The Gunfighter" and the gunslinger himself.

Red Dead Redemption, 1911, the ending of the old American West. Landon Ricketts, the man who spent 25 years in the American West as an outlaw, and the rest of his years as a legend. Landon lived through the age. That's why I'll always play as him in multiplayer. The true Legend of The West.

I saw that one, another interesting new is that at that same newspaper says that Marshal Leigh Johnson retired and everyone of the city of Armadillo partied for the good work he did.

In the newspaper in armidilo I was jack marston in the newspaper it said landon ricketts died in his sleep and he was going make a autobiography and saying he was the fastest shooter in his time

i think its possible that landon ricketts is red harlow because he could change his name just after the events of red dead revovler to get away from the law

when i first seen the film ghost rider with nicholas cage and sam elliott and i seen sam elliots character i instantly thought thts landon ricketts, did rockstar base landon ricketts on sam elliot cause they look so a like, and especialy in ghost rider when he jumps on the flaming horse it looks just like zombie landon riding the war horse.

@DarthSeptic were marshal johnsons multiplayer quotes made with his actual voice or someone elses cos he sounds a bit different from how he did in single player

@tymo1234 I would imagine they will use his quotes from single-player. Ricketts with a different voice wouldn't be the same.

@punji73 The voice actor, Anthony De Longis, seems to change his voice similarly in single player. I am nearly positive they are the same, listen closely and I think you will hear the resemblance.

no he does die but not in that the paper said he took part in the blackwater massacre when he was younger im not quite sure what he does die in?of but i dont think it was dat

I am wondering, how is Rockstar getting surtain voices of Landon Ricketts? I'm wondering that because Ross Hagen sadly passed away. Maybe they would take singleplayer quotes? I'd really like to get an awnser to that question, I just don't know...

Thank you everyone for making this my most popular video! I'm glad it's honoring one of--if not the coolest--minor video game protagonist! Maybe Sam Elliott will star in the Landon Ricketts movie one day--ha! That'd make us all happy. And to all the Red Harlow fans--I like him too--but Landon has the 'stache that says "number one."
