Why is it almost always a woman who has these stupid terrible takes? I'm beginning to wonder if my childhood out look of "where there's women theres drama" is true
*GASP* Who would ever think that men and women move differently!! It's almost like ppl think they have different body types, sizes, and hormones. Crazy.
They don’t *personally* want the things they lobby for, which is stupid. They simply want to be contrarian for the sake of it (or in some cases, break down norms for arbitrary or purposefully destructive reasons).
How dare you imply men and women aren’t the same! I’m kidding of course. Normal people know they are. Edit: Seems no one realized I was joking. Men and women are different. Now stfu and stop getting mad when we both agree.
Catwoman doesn't move like that because she's a woman, she moves like that because _she's Catwoman._ Batgirl and Poison Ivy don't move like Catwoman. Conversely, Batman doesn't move like that because he's a man, he moves like that because _he's Batman._ The Joker and the Penguin don't move like Batman. Yeesh...
@@abadenoughdude300 I guess it actually would fit. And everyone would say _"Look at the extravagant way the Joker moves! How fitting for that character!"_
@@abadenoughdude300 Since Joker is practically chaos incarnate so him changing up his movement like that perfectly fits in with his personality. In fact, that is typically how various actors playing Joker have made themselves stand out from the other actors playing Joker. There was a female led AC game. Liberation. And the way she played was different. She could charm guards to follow her around corners where she stabbed them. Have they forgotten this? Also she moved differently
Sadly, Liberations was forgotten seemingly as soon as it released due to it intially being stuck on the Vita, and I'm pretty sure the console version was overshadowed by Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flags. A real shame, since it was arguably a more interesting entry than AC3.
AC fans had franchise fatigue, from the yearly releases of that series. They also forgot about the one where you could be Shay, an Assassin turned Templar.
Hell even I remember ads for that game a couple years ago. they're only upset because it's not 'now' . they don't understand context along a timeline. It's like they got goldfish memories.
Well, the author did bring up AC2, so maybe they're just as incompetent as the majority of games journalism? UE is a bit remiss in not pointing that out as AC3:L is presently available on uplay, and the game is easily found with a simple google search.
I liked Liberation... and not just because it happened in and around New Orleans but because of interesting the changes to the usual mechanics was. But the issue is those insane cultists wants a "female only mainline AC game" to "stick it to the evil male gamers" or something. Not because they would really want one but because they think that it would be a victory for them. Not that it will be in reality since a lot of gamers like for instance me, actually does not give a shit about what gender my character is, as long as the game has good gameplay, a good story and good visuals.

The male gaze is always so bad but no one ever talks about the female gaze. It’s never bad when a woman looks at a dude in a romantic, sexual way. But when a man does so, it’s toxic.
From my experience, and it's mostly because I still struggle to break out of that mentality, is because It's more reasonable to say a man looks at a woman sexually than a woman does to a man in society. Which if fucking stupid because they objectify men just as much, but doesn't get any coverage because people think like me.
Yes it does however the women majority genres are an extreme minority compared to the normal genres where the male gaze is standard. Or if that aspect is appropriated into a mainstream work it’s mostly vilified or gets mocked by the public like twilight. When a beach volleyball scene is filmed like in Top Gun is the intent for the filmgoers watching to be sexual for the women or even gay men or show show off how masculine & awesome the players are. The god sculpted body of the Adonis/Fabio character is also played as stupid or naively manipulative of the girls to do his work & is made an antagonist of the main character. Or comparing bath house/outdoor bathing scenes with only males (Eastern Promises/Showdown in Little Tokyo) to that of the numerous female scenes
What's ironic is these same people who complained about Male gaze then started complaining no one was giving them attention any more. Itd be funny if it wasn't so sad
@Shadow Warrior 101 yo seriously, stop spamming. You were just bitching about echo chambers in another comment but youve copy pasted the same exact comment on 6 other threads. Chill tf out

I loved playing as the Courtesan in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood's Multi-player because I felt like she fit the idea perfectly way back when. So long as her character is well written, I'm certainly down for playing that game.
The gameplay could focus heavy on stealth and your assassination methods would be poison, or really quick kills, no indirect fighting, no groups of enemies, just good old stealth, lots of information gathering and spying, and finally, an assassination of a big target, that took a very long time to play out. It would make every kill in that game so memorable but Ubisoft can't be bothered ...her backstory could be how she was sold or betrayed by some rich nobles and was left for dead, then years later comes back as a trained assassin courtesan to take her revenge.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that men and women are biologically not the same? Naturally if you want to attract a mate, you need to play to your biological strengths, and this means that we play different roles - for men, we play off the fact that we're strong and have self control, because testosterone to a large degree allows for us to do so. Women don't have testosterone, so there would be no benefit for them to act like they do. Instead, they flaunt the behaviors that are enhanced through estrogen, which they do naturally produce, and that men do not. Naturally since it takes a few minutes for a man to a woman, women tend to be a lot more choosy and restrained when it comes to letting 'just anyone' have kids with them. It takes just under a year for a woman to have a single kid. It takes just under 15 minutes for a man to make this happen. Virtually all of our behaviors and interactions in society are based off this fact - why women didn't fight in wars, why women were given preferrence over men in times of danger - women are a lot harder to replace than men simply for the fact that lost women means a loss in rate of reproduction. A loss in men means just a loss in potential suitors. It's an unfortunate fact. Women act to account for this fact, as do men, on an innate, instinctual level. The people who are behind the idea of trying to remove such a function of our biology are either del usional or ma levolent. Or, both
"Why is it so hard for people to understand that men and women are biologically not the same?" Because even the simplest biological facts are offensive and problematic now. There's a video of a uni professor (biology, I think) where she says "Is there anyone who actually finds it offensive that men and women are biologically different?" What followed was the woketivists from the audience knocking down the recording equipment and screaming what a fascist (sic) she is. This is the world we live in.
Female Gamer: Male Gamers: Female Gamer: "OYMYGAWD my eyes are up here, boys! How dare you objectify me? I feel so uncomfortable, this is why girls won't play your little nerd game!"

As always, an informative, balanced and intelligent video that completely dismantles the woke mass hysteria that is currently poisoning the gaming world. The world is going crazy...
I wouldn't call this woke at all. If anything it's the opposite. It also detracts from real issues such as wealth gaps and health costs. These types women control social media, but they aren't satisfied with just that. The want to control critical thoughts and perception while wielding the power to destroy lives. The only reason they can move so smoothly due to it being socially unacceptable to attack them even with facts. That's my take.
Catwoman is exaggerated feminine movement even within the Batman universe, but she's that way ON PURPOSE. She uses sex like Batman uses fear; to control and intimidate. Her movements are part of her character. Using her as an example of typical female sexuality is hilariously missing the point. It's like saying Wolverine is an example of typical male violence. Yes, he's violent but there's absolutely nothing typical about him.
“She’s sitting like Ariel from The Little Mermaid” You’ve heard it hear first, people. If you go into the military (or any physically-demanding program/sport) you’re not allowed to be feminine. You must shed your femininity! It has been decreed!! And she says everyone else is sexist. She’s not sitting in the middle of a warzone, she’s sitting on a patch of grass in a safe place on her home planet. You’ll sit in a more relaxed pose when there’s no imminent threat. I can’t believe people took her seriously.
@@mrshmuga9 I might argue, at this point, that there has never been a "person" that took her seriously... That's the problem. You see, there's no such thing as gender difference. That's extremely transphobic. Except when shrilly proclaimed by whichever misandrist is currently occupying the spotlight. Oh wait, did i mess that up? Was it no gender difference or infinite genders, i can't seem to remember.

I love your honest, logical analysis of things in your videos. I agree with a lot of things you said in this one, but there are a few things I would point out. In general, the male gaze in visual entertainment media is not a myth at all. As a film student, we literally were taught male gaze as a topic and its implementation in cinema. I know how to shoot a scene in male gaze, so I know male gaze when I see it in a film or game (and trust me, the entertainment industry is full of it because it really sells well). However, The problem in our industry isn't the prevalence of one kind of character but the lack of the other kinds-that's why we have more diversity in our films now. I'm a male and my postures are very feminine (except walking) and I love that-and I would like to see male characters with feminine traits in video games and films, but that definitely doesn't imply that I'd want masculine male characters to be removed. What needs to be normalized is the inclusion of all kinds of humans in our pop culture (not all in a single game or film) instead of saturating the platform with one kind, so that no one feels left out or abandoned.
As a woman, I don't want females in video games to be like men. I want them to be women, even a bit exaggeratedly female like Catwoman. What Anita Sarkessian wants is something I would find boring.
I love how your mind and thought processes think inside, outside and back and forth between the two when it comes to proverbial boxes. It’s lonely once you leave Oblivion and realize how few and far between your new peers are. Just know it’s MUCH appreciated.
Movement is heavily influenced by anatomy. Women usually walk and move from the hip because their bone and muscle structure makes it more natural and healthy for them to do so. Men generally find that attractive because it's a recognizable evolutionary indicator of a compatible partner for procreation and we are wired to look for these traits, possibly due to them contributing to success in our natural selection.
