Always loved the "Nice Beaver!" line. It still makes me laugh. That and all of Drebin's driving and parking scenes. He was my hero in the 80's when I first saw the TV show.

I come back to this occasionally, for a real laugh, what a film this was, absolutely packed with fun and farce, brilliant, sad that some of the actors are no longer with us.

The two paying each other off is....funny beyond words.

The deleted scenes make this movie even funnier than it already is. And, there is now an explanation for Frank's deflated chest protector.

These are absolute gold - especially the dock scene additions. Great to see Ricardo Montalban get a few extra moments too as I always loved his performance. He played it mostly straight but I thought his performance was hilarious too.

My dear sweet late Grandmother took my cousin and I to the drive-in to see this and she nearly had a heart attack laughing so hard.... especially the statue dildo.... good god, Granny scared me.... she stopped breathing a few times.... bless this movie and her.

No other film could give a person the kind of belly laugh as that of the “Naked Gun”. Frank impersonating the umpire was comedic genius; no matter how many times you watch it. Missing this kind of comedy would definitely make me curious about a reboot, but as many of you’ve observed, without Leslie Nielsen…??? Nielsen, another outstanding Canadian.

I saw this movie twice in the theater. To this day the hardest I've laughed in my life.

As someone that saw this movie on tv for the first time, I was shocked that they left out some of these jokes in not only the theatrical version, but also the VHS and DVD versions. There were even some continuity errors resulting from this. Nevertheless, thank you so much for posting this collection!

This whole series is gold. The movies, the tv show. Everything. They really could’ve made a great television show if they’d kept it going. Then again, if they had a long run on television would they have made the three movies?

I remember some of these extended scenes from a VHS version, my parents used to own. it was nice being able to see these scenes again; thanks for the upload.

Fun fact: Originally in the meat room, Frank & the goon were supposed to retch "Monty Python-style", but this was cut due to - according to the DVD commentary - the women in the test screening hating it, despite a positive reception from the men.

I think it was on ABC, when I first saw this version. It was interesting to see the extra footage, but I can also see why some of it was cut. While some scenes were a bit of a treat to see extended, like the dock scene, I kinda felt the line about having children fell a bit flat. It also didn't fit the rest of the scene. It felt added on. I guess, I wouldn't expect them to leave the beaver joke in, but the replacement line was a pretty obvious edit. Finally, I had forgotten about the part where he steps on the fox, but it does explain why he's carrying around a dead fox in the theatrical version. That was a bit confusing. I am glad they edited Ludwig's shootout, but it also creates a mystery as to why his vest is deflated. I had always wondered about that.

I saw this movie. At a drive in that used to be off 202 in S. PA. My entire family ( aunts,uncles ,cousins) would go see double feature in the late 80s early 90s! Saw this Gremlins 2 Major League. A a few others. Good childhood memories.

the chest protector scene i definitely remember was aired on tv broadcast of the movie. Not sure why the final cut had that removed.

I like the deleted scene in Ludwig's burned down apartment, seeing his initial reaction to Drebin having broken in there and burned it down. We already knew that Ludwig wanted to kill him for doing so, and because he was trying to stop him from assassinating the queen, but this extra scene seeing his initial reaction to his apartment, I guess it's debatable on if it should've stayed in the movie or not.

I have to admit that I can understand why these cuts were made to the original. They did not really add anything significant to the plot, and while silliness in general is the core of these films, they did feel like those extra things just ruined the pacing. Interesting to see these cut outs, never the less.

Thank God this one is back up! Is there anyway to get this version of the film? It’s the one I’ve always watched when it was shown on tv and yet when I get the DVD, where all these jokes?! I was eager the watch the dock scene and the back and forth bribing. We need a fan edit that puts all this back in but not at the expense of censorship in certain places.

Ok I have to say this: it is criminal that these scenes were almost never put on home media officially. We deserve to see these gem of deleted/extended scenes in pretty much let's say the extended cut of T2: Judgment Day for just how seamless those ones were woven in. I know these scenes were intentionally used to fill in the time slot for TV back then, but come on we deserve to see them within the theatrical cuts. These jokes r just as uproarious as what was given to us theatrically. Aside from Halloween (1978) released recently on 4k with the tv scenes woven into the theatrical cut, again, we deserve to have just about every title like "Problem Child's 1 and 2", "Cop & a Half", "Scary Movie", "or perhaps even the TV cut of "Halloween II"''s deleted scenes inserted right into them theatrical cuts, and released officially to us on blu-ray. Thank goodness for Shout or Arrow to attempt that. Not to mention, aside from perhaps the tv deleted scenes more or less toning it down on purpose for what they have edited out of the theatrical editions in order to make them family-friendly at the time, these deleted scenes at least come off pretty consistent with what's left in the theatrical versions themselves. I don't think they'd take away and come off out of place if left in the uncut versions. Going back to 78's Halloween, those tv scenes (which ironically were shot during "Halloween II'"s production) flow just as smooth as the rest of the theatrical experience IMO.

These edits were really smart to take out of the film. The dock bribing scene and the noir walking scene are much better shortened. The trimmed factory fight and desk trashing scenes are better too. Those hospital gags were good though. Those might've been worth keeping in. Stupid TV censoring beaver, LOL. It wasn't used as a dirty word there! I noticed on the site movie-censorship they compare shots of the Naked Gun TV version to the theatrical, and there are a few you missed including. There is more dialogue with Ludwig at the reception for the queen, where he threatens to get Drebin fired. And there is a shot of people having a picnic in the baseball outfield. Might be a couple more shots in the burning apartment that were added to the TV version as well.
