In the baseball scenes, there were cameos by those who were known for being involved in the sports. All the baseball announcers mentioned actually did that in real life, with the exception of Dr. Joyce Brothers, who was a well known psychologist. They had actual MLB umpires on the field as well. Also, the player being hypnotized was Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson.

I've watched a few of the reactions and it surprises me the people don't know they are eating pistachios... They open them with their teeth and throw the shell out the window....sometimes the shells have a pink/ red dye on them. The dye always stains your fingers and lips, but it's worth it.

Pistahios never ever dyed my teeth. Maybe because I live in the Nordics, where everyting is clean, using artificial colors in food is illegal in many ways, and gmo is illegal.

Inspired lunacy - I love that Nielsen, a well-known and respected dramatic actor got a 2nd act in life in silly comedies. He often carried a hand-held whoopie cushion device he'd use in public places like an elevator. Keep watching comedies hon - your laughter is wonderful.

My dad is a HUGE Leslie Nielsen fan and got me into his movies as a kid…and I can tell you, these movies get funnier and wilder! Dracula, Dead & Loving It as well as Spy Hard (spy movie parody) are campy fun as well.

For the longest time I always assumed that Ludwig finding a finger in his hotdog was a joke about poor quality meat, but after several re-watches I realised it's also mainly because the henchman fell into the vat at Ludwig's Dugout Dog factory! You really do notice something new every time you watch this movie! :)

I love how tickled you got from the "Our Lady of the Worthless Miracle" line 10:33. It was one of those moments that can slip by depending on if you haven't stopped laughing from the relentless machine-gun fired jokes in this movie. I had the same reaction when I first heard it. So hysterical.

The Naked Gun movies are a parody of the cop shows of the 1950's, 60's, and 70's. If you were familiar with the typical TV genre of the cop shows decades ago, and there was a lot of them, you would laugh even harder.

just an FYI - Frank & Ed were eating Pistachio nuts while they were staking out Vincent Ludwig's place...for some reason, to make them more attractive to consumers, some manufacturers used to put cherry-red dye on them...which would get all over your hands & face!...Great Idea!...NOT!!!!!...& that's why Frank had such a hard time opening the car door...he had to force his way through a Mountain of Pistachio-Shells!...& I totally understand that joke...Pistachios aren't exactly the most filling food!...lol.

Yeah, I can't even remember the last time I saw pistachios in a colored shell like that. Every time I get them now they're either already shelled or the shells just have their natural color.
