Paulamoon100 THE NANNY is not so hard to find, because you can see most of the episodes here on You Tube, or you can purchase a copy of the complete series on dvd, which SHOUT FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT, released on Tuesday May 26.
littlesongbird1: SHOUT FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT, obtained the copyright files of THE NANNY, from CBS since the show ended in 1999. So it was fitting that the company, was given the right for them to produce, that absolutely beautiful box set of THE COMPLETE SERIES, which was successfully released at many fine video retailers across North America, on MAY 26, 2015.
@@mryear3000ify There was a Fran Drescher talk show for a while, and Shaughnessy made an appearance on it (apparently surprising Fran) and I felt like she went into character as Fran Fine. She called him "Mr. Sheffield," and they were in a bed together on stage.
Anniie24601: Let me add something to your comment : You call THE NANNY, ''One of the best sitcoms of all time.'' I proudly refer to it as : THE GREATEST TELEVISION SITCOM OF THE 20th CENTURY !!
I met Fran at a health convention in DC in early 2018. She was very friendly and more-than-happy to sign my 3rd season DVD. And... yes... that voice is REAL!!!!
I didn't see the Nanny in its initial run. But, when I was a kid, and it started showing on Nick at Nite, me and my siblings all thought it was the same actress
Rohan Zener : Have you ever heard the term, TRICK PHOTOGRAPHY ? That is what the producers of the show, were actually using. And another thing, there is no need for you to swear like that. I am just giving out a little piece of information. That's all.
As much as I always thought CC Babcock was prettier, and a better person, than she was given credit for, and I didn't necessarily think it was as obvious as the show wanted us to believe that Fran was more attractive, I do like that someone with that voice (Fran's) could be a "leading lady" and the heroine of the show whom the guys liked.
LMAO this line gets me 'Where do you keep your Oscar?' 'At Marisa Tomei's house!' HAHA! There is another line in the Rosie O'Donnell ep where Val says to Rosie 'You scared me so much in Misery!' haha love this show!
Every kid asks this question... Do the real life celebrities exist in the world the Celebrity Sitcom is set in? Does Bill Cosby exist in the same world as Cliff Huxtable? Does Reba Heart listen to Reba McEntire? Did Steve Hightower ever perform on Showtime at the Apollo? Will George Lopez...Well, Fran Drescher met Fran Fine, so anything is possible.
mrmajikjr: The answer to your question, is definitely NO ! Real life celebrities, DO NOT exist in the world that the Celebrity Sitcom is set in. What this means, is that Miss Fran Drescher HAS NEVER MET her character, Franny Fine on THE NANNY, due to the fact that the producers of the show itself, used a very special technological process called, TRICK PHOTOGRAPHY.
I freaking love this show! Especially Niles and C.C.! And the little girl, Grace, she lives in her own world. Lol, she always says things that my mother would say. And grandmother YETTA! How could I forget about her, she was the star of the show, haha!
And I thought the top comment on this video would be that the butler indeed steals the whole show. I was hoping to give that comment a thumbs up, guess I'll have to thumb up my own comment now :P
Yes, I was surprised the comments didn't focus more on that. There is a whole subset of fans who watch pretty much just for Niles and/or CC. Men watching the show like CC just as much as Fran - and by this point in the show, Fran's character had gone downhill into some nuttiness and meanness (well, not right at this point, but before this, when she was really upset because Max wouldn't admit he was in love with her.)
1mikie19 : CBS did tried to cancel the entire series, at the end of Season One in May of 1994, because of its poor, low ratings. But thanks to the intervention, of a self-proclaimed good samaritan named Jeff Sagansky, who served as both President and Chief Executive of the Network, he saved the show from becoming a catastrophic, monumental disaster, and THE NANNY proudly went on to be regarded, as the most heartwarming and highly-emotional television hit sitcom of the 20th Century !
Because of that, didn't they air the finale before some other Season 6 episodes (including this one and others about Niles and CC getting into a relationship)? And that made it weird, because in the finale they had clearly been in a relationship for a while and were contemplating marriage.
Jessica Lillian Weinberg It seemed liked most of the second half of season 6 just ran in whatever order CBS chose to. It was their way of cancelling it.
@@RusstheTroubadour Actually, the order changes make it interesting - it's less clear what events happen in what order, so Niles and CC could have been together longer before The Finale than we think.
efsq : On the contrary, i am glad that the CBS NETWORK producers, decided to go on with the original concept of ending THE NANNY, at the end of Season 6. Just the scene, where FRANNY has her twins in the delivery room, as NILES and C.C. are proclaimed husband and wife by the hospital preacher, was enough to bring everyone of its loyal viewers on the edge of tears.
im 15 i just LOVE this show much the just makes me wish more that was 15 in in the mid 90s or early 90s so i could enjoy this even more and have the chance to get excited for new episodes :)
OMG i was in 5th grade when this aired, and i remember watching it.....good times good times. i was the only one in my class to watch this show lol. i was made fun of...(tear)...but it was sooooooo worth it lmao
clarissa 360 : THE NANNY was never cancelled. It ran for the complete 6 seasons of the show's duration on the CBS NETWORK, from November 3rd, 1993 to June 23rd, 1999.
no dream can get better than having two frans at the same time. ....but in reality only one beauty and only one fran. i like to watch chris nolan's works or some other films. i cant believe myself sitting and watching all that nonsense because of her. she talks about her generosity......and i say is never enough.....
@@blackbutterfly233ify Breaking the 4th wall is when characters in a show seem to become aware that they're in a show and engage with the audience. The 4th wall refering to the TV screen.
Split screen - they do one side with Fran (with the opposite side blocked), then roll back the film, then block the other side and film on the previously unused side. As long as lighting and exposure are identical, it's seamless. Or one was superimposed via chromakey, using a blue or green background for the key.
To those on this website, who are trying to find out what is the name of this episode, it is called : THE BABY SHOWER. And YES. THE NANNY is currently available on DVD.
