loodiamexican oh Lauren’s comedic timing is second to none. I think a lot of the lack of recognition is because soon after this she left THIS part of the acting world
Niles is my favorite. He's "unflappable" he did his song with a straight face the whole time the three stooges were causing a distraction in the background. Only Niles !
Whoever wrote this scene must watch a lot of "Tom and Jerry!" And C.C.'s face at 1:10, followed by her screaming, "NANNY FINE!" is beyond priceless. :D
Another insane screaming freak out was on Roseanne when Jackie played Mrs. Claus at Rodbell's Dept. Store. A kid got a hold of her tripod camera, told to stop but kept taking pics----and Jackie's flipping out all while walking straight into the camera ! She looked positively POSSESSED by Satan.
Lauren Lane is honestly extremely underrated. Her role in The Nanny is absolutely amazing and each of her facial expressions are always on point! I wish she got the recognition she deserved.
"Excuse me, sir... How do you think it went?" "...Didn't you notice Larry, Moe and Curly going on in the background‽" "Well, yes, but... how was _I_ ?" Niles has his prorities straight. XD
Hitting Fran on the head with that candelabra wouldn't have worked anyway. She puts so much hair spray in there her hair basically functions as a hardhat.
Can we discuss a bit about the irony comparing the lyrics and what’s happening in the background? Niles: Destiny finds and shows him, true love has been found Nadine: Never should have married you! Also it’s a “once in a life time” chance for Niles, yet Larry, Moe and Curly ruined it for him 😂🙈
I’m rewatching the nanny and i love how as the show progresses CC gets more and more ridiculous. What i mean is that in the first few episodes she was just a very serious person and at most the object of Niles’ jokes, but already in season two she was getting back at niles’ jokes and i think lauren lane really found her footing in the character, CC is an absurd character and she knew exactly how to play her in the most hilarious way. The shot of her running towards the camera yelling nanny fine made me laugh out loud
was watching the commentary fran did on the pilot episode and she talked about how perfect lauren was for the cc role- sophisticated and pretty and also willing to act like a clown. lol!
btw what a travesty that this was the only time Nadine appeared on the show - 0:43 Ellen Ratner KILLED it, she fit perfectly into Fran's coockoo family with unbearable voices :DDD
Fran is the most fantastic woman! She excels Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett! She is a wonderful role model concerning her cancer and other situations. I adore her. There is none better!
ruth monen I’m not sure she excels Lucille Ball, but she is great. Actually, a lot of her comedy comes straight from Lucy. She studied her timing, and facial expressions and used it as her anchor. Very talented, smart.
Oh no doubt that part of “Ethel’s Home Town” inspired this. Fran Drescher has said many times how Lucy’s humor inspired her/the show (as it did many other’s)
Great voice, Great cast, Great show..............These shows are great to watch over and over again even though you know what's going to happen, Just like the old I love Lucy's
But HE STILL MARRIES HER!!😂😂😂😂😂And when CC "quietly" goes to stop them and she screams"NANNY FIIIINNNE", I LOSE IT😂😂😂😂😂These folks are crazy😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂(and Niles is justa singing!!😂😂😂)
If the actor who played Niles was on Broadway as the comments suggest, it definitely shows here . He was amazing and it made me laugh how everyone was arguing in the background and he just carried on👏👏👏😃😃😃😂😂😂 Niles - “Excuse me,sir. How do you think it went?” Maxwell - “Didn’t you notice Larry,Moe and Curly going on in the background?” Niles - “Yes,sir. But how was I?” 😂😂😂😂😂
Then later on afterwards CC reveals that disliked Niles singing (she's claiming to tell him, smugly) and they enjoyed Fran, Nadine and Barry dancing and antics in the background.
