Covert narcissist is a master manipulator in personal relationship, and yes, he falls easily for fake marketing. The combination of grandiosity and paranoia in my husband makes my life extremely difficult, especially recently as he is aging. Thank you, Prof. Vaknin and Conor Ryan for hosting him.

Oh I believe you! Got divorced before having to deal with the ex’s aging. Took too much manipulation from him for years that I want to end my last chapter of life in peace. So far, it has been quite nice. Should have left him years ago, though. Women should not wait to leave their narcissist. They deplete us!

Same! The way Vaknin explains narcissism is remarkable! I have a better understanding of what I went thru and how to heal. The anxiety I had and didn’t know I had it went away just days after ex moved out of the house. Amazing

I qualified till I divorced the ex. He already has a supply that he displays in public while I’m sure he still has his p*rn addiction and young side chicks. He will never change and I am so glad I got out of the “marriage.” Trying to satisfy a person who has insatiable needs depleted me. Now I am doing so many things and living a more peaceful, fulfilling life. Took over two years post separation/divorce to get him to leave me alone. Ridiculous but predictable.

This was your best video yet, for me anyways. It's been a 7-8 year journey of singlehandedly putting in the work healing from my trifecta family, and indeed, my therapist ultimately betrayed me similarly. But now everything is in the wide open bcuz it simply happened that way. Now, it's time for them to take a good look in the mirror. Good luck with that. Thanks, Sam.

Acceptance is different than healing. Can you teach us how to do first one without wasting precious energy? Narcissism, along with a particular form of abuses they can give you.. is much different than the rest of the world can do.. Time is precious. Thank you Professor.💫

I did so wrong as a codependent, but in the end I got very much hurt with a painful discard. Lesson learned. Working on my codependency. Learning is crucial. And this is the place.

😇GVB❤ When I saw the word "TORTURE " in the thumbnail, I smiled. 😊Now, Dr. Vaskin is teaching about the kind of narcissist I have been been unfortunate/fortunate enough to be blindsided a few years ago, by what I originally labeled a psychopath. I later learned the term covert narcissist (😂 still psychopath) they probably like these long titles. 🎉 I look forward to continuing with this video as it relates to the narcissists lack of conscience when deciding whether to go into gang bullying and torturing an innocent individual to death; never considering the possibility of failure and the stakes involved if/when they do. 🎉 The Bible says that " The Wages of Sin are death " I am just glad they never read the Bible.😊

Too much too early. Flattery and the feeling to have found "the One". Seems to be under a spell. Pushing your boundaries and from them, the struggle to accept a no. Avoid dating Apps. It Is like an adolescent love, almost impossible to escape the urge to have It.

Go slowly: first talk, next coffee but not dinner yet. Wait for sex. If he is a narc, he will hurry, but if he can wait, give him a chance but watch him closely. Narcs are smooth, but especially covert narcissist. Seemingly humble. Advice from non-expert. Still stuck with covert narcissist….best wishes.

@@alice-hp7dh That's how they reel you in....then their loving, wonderful mask will start to slip and the abuse will begin. Many victims will want to believe the mask is the real "them", which causes victims to either minimize the abuse, or worse, believe it's their own fault. Trust your gut, confront abuse when it occurs, and don't take any blame that isn't genuinely yours. They do not like calm, rational people with healthy boundaries and healthy self-esteem, and will likely discard this person once they realize that they've been "found out". Consider it a blessing if you're discarded by a narcissist - you will have saved yourself a lot of pain and anguish.

Please help - the level of complexity is overbearing - I need help to fix this issue. I'm at the 9 min mark of this video - been there for 8 years since the divorce - the problem is i recently found out the truth about my xwife plan of action directly tied to narcissistic traits - and now the double truma of re-living the spesifics are sending me to hell.

The narcissist is not in your mind, you’re in the narcissist’s mind. The lovebombing at the beginning puts you in their mind. That’s what The Matrix, The Truman Show and Barbie is about. Object and subject switch.
