Zack Mendelhall if I’m not wrong, he left the band on good terms when they started going by the band name Wallows. He didn’t like being the bassist, since his main thing are the drums. He had wrote about it on his website but he took the site down I think

they don't actually have a proper spotify artist account for the narwhals, it was auto generated because this song was used in one of the movie's that dylan starred in (alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.) they're nothing bad with them and zack, he just didn't want to play bass anymore because he was more into drumming. he owns a music studio now i think, and he actually still comes along on tour with them
