The Winston was open to race winners from last season through the Pontiac Excitement 400 at Richmond International Raceway and all previous All-Star race winners and NASCAR Winston Cup champions who had attempted to qualify for every race in 2000 were eligible to compete in the All-Star Race. Hope tht helps
Hi Radman here is the rules for the all stars race To be eligible for the 2000 NASCAR All-Star Race, drivers had to meet the following criteria: Be a winner from the previous season through the Pontiac Excitement 400 at Richmond International Raceway Be a previous All-Star race winner Be a NASCAR Winston Cup champion who attempted to qualify for every race in 2000
It's a coding issue the modders couldn't solve after reaching out to ty thunder, which is one of the reasons why the Shootout isn't available outright.
Hi :) The All-Star race doesn't actually qualify you in until you hit the 2002(or 03?) season (the default for the game without mods). This was also mentioned as an issue in the read me file for the mod. I think I'm up to 08 or 09 and once you hit the base game threshold it fixed itself. 👍
I think it was winners pole winners rookie of the year and previous all star winners from last season then and I wish they would bring back this exact format and maybe a xfinity and trucks all star race also idk why I'm just now thinking about it I should of made the all star and all star open more laps back then
you were penalized late by NASCAR for those intentional wrecks and hit with austin dillon. your richmond win didn't count towards the all-star race lol
How dare you disgrace Ted Musgrave’s name Radman. He was actually decent in Cup, especially in the #16 at Roush from 1994 to mid-1998(Before being replaced by Kevin Lepage ironically). He had opportunities to win a race or two during that time, but for whatever reason couldn’t get it done. Also, here’s a sad fun fact as to why he is in the #01 Bellsouth Chevrolet in this game. That car was originally Kenny Irwin Jr’s #42 for the first 17 races of the 2000 season before Irwin was killed in a practice crash at New Hampshire. After Team SABCO changed the number to #01 and the paint scheme from green to blue, Musgrave was hired to drive the car for all of the remaining races except for Watkins Glen and Atlanta.
could be a coding issue. the all star race is supposed to include all race winners and owner winners from that same year, but perhaps the code is checking the wrong year because the mod is nascar thunder 2000? maybe its checking for winners in 2002 or 2003 which havent happened yet ?
