I’m so glad I was young during this musical age. “Gee WIZ”, “SO YOUNG”. “Why DO FOOLS FALL IN LOVE”. All the greats. It was so cool. Gonna be 82 soon. I canLindy with the best of them. Thank u GOD!
Stepping didn't derive from bopping. You were considered a "Stepper" in the 1960s if you could do intricate steps. One male dancer could do a flip and pick up a handkerchief with his mouth and keep dancing smoothly. The men would try to outdo each other and constantly create new steps. See the short history of "Stepping" in my original comments.
@@classylady2257 I said what I said… in Chicago during the 60’s through out the 70’s we were BOPPIN… then afterwards the 8 count of steppin was formed… just because you have a “short story of steppin”… that doesn’t make you an expert… you have your beliefs and truths about this and I have mine…
As a little girl learning to hand dance with the older people was fun. The five to seven year old girls would Stand on an older man's shoes as he lead the dance.
