I definitely see the negatives on Bauer. He's had a decent amount of locker room conflict. Is it enough that he shouldn't be signed though? Nah, he SHOULD be in the league.
As an ex-Ohioan and lifelong Tribe fan that currently lives in DFW, I would love to see the Rangers pick him up. I’ve always been a fan of watching him pitch and compete. He’s definitely a controversial guy that the league never liked because he spoke his mind instead of toeing the line. Wish they would bring him back.
Totally agree with you regarding Bauer! It’s incredibly crazy he isn’t pitching in the MLB in my opinion! Just found your channel tonight, great stuff!!!
Congrats on 25 years Mike! My wife and I celebrated our 25th on June 12th! Here's to outkicking our coverage and finding the perfect person to take the journey with!
Congrats on your anniversary and finishing the ballparks. Meet-up is going to be fun. Have a feeling MLB through their investigation knows things we don’t know. Love the ‘66 leaders.
Hi Mike, Congrats on 25 years, very special. Super excited to see all again at the National, and hopefully come home with another big Jackie card. I also use those Superior fit sleeves for all my slabbed cards. I cannot enlighten you on Trevor Bauer, but I wished my Orioles would sign him. Cool pickups. Talk soon my friend.
Congrats on the Big Two Five! Well done, and what an amazing wife to help you fulfill your completion of all the stadiums. Completely agree with you about Bauer... but what would expect under Manfred's misguided tenure.
Congrats on your anniversary! I can't wait for the National and the meet and greet! See ya there. I watch Trevor Bauer on youtube also and don't understand why he's not in the majors either. The Cardinals could definitely use him. I have suspicions that it has to do with the whole sticky substances thing. He was very vocal about it and called out cheaters. MLB had to react to that and then had to implement new rules because we all know they are always very reactive. Very strange, for sure.
Congratulations on your 25th anniversary! Now take that number and double it. I just had my 50th anniversary a week ago. Yes, I’m vintage just like the coins I collect 😀. I’ll see you at The National.
Congratulations on 25 with you and a baseball trip? your wife is a saint- lol. See you in Chicago next year? I’ve always loved Trevor Bauer/ why isn’t he pitching? See Curt Schilling who got the shaft from the writers. Totally agree, Mike. Great pickups, when the cost is below the slabbing process always a win in my book! thanks for sharing and Good Collecting👍❤️
Its funny - its like im living a similar life only 10yrs behind you. Its our 15 yr anniversary and I believe you're 10 yrs older than me and I believe also born in Oct? Pretty funny haha😊
Do they still make Big Hurt Beer? I've always wanted to try it but haven't seen it in forever. I'm probably they only person the remembers Frank Thomas' beer company.
There is a great deal te public doesn't know about Trevor but is common knowledge in the relatively small world of MLB. That includes players (who don't want what he would bring to the clubhouse) and hundreds of female employees valued by their employers. Owners want to win and make more money. The fact that he hasn't been signed speaks volumes.
It speaks volumes that the vast majority of people who are against him being in the league are blue hairs and soy boys. Owners are aware that those are the worst most toxic people on the planet and dont want to do anything to incur their wrath.
Bauer is still out of the league for the same reason Kaepernick never got a chance in the NFL again. Teams are afraid of the backlash they'll get for signing him Which is stupid...when Philly signed Mike Vick they had protesters for a week then people moved on
As a Mets fan, I think it's extremely stupid that a ballclub like the Mets didn't at least attempt to sign him for a good deal. Bauer is miles better than anything the Mets currently have on their roster.
For what it's worth, Bauer's main accuser did a long interview on the Breaking Balls podcast. She alleges that during the private MLB hearing, more victims came forward and that MLB got their hands on video(s) Bauer made of him abusing some of the women. The MLB investigation is private so there's no public corroberation available but if true, it explains why MLB teams won't touch him with a 10 foot pole.
The Bauer thing is baffling!! Why wasn't he just put on administrative leave until the situation was sorted out??? Do the Dodgers still have his MLB rights?
Enjoy the last 2 stadiums! Congrats on 25 years. Great to see some Tony Oliva's, nicest living Hall of Famer IMO. Still haven't heard if there is a meat raffle at the RU-vid gathering.
Congrats on 25 years! Bauer isn't on a team because he's an ass and no owner thinks his talent overcomes the combination of his personality and the off-field accusations. (While there is no criminal trial, he is not legally out of the woods yet)
Bauer isn't worth the headache for most teams. He has always been extremely outspoken and this is not something most teams want to deal with. Former Bills punter Matt Araiza went through a similar situation and was later signed by the Chiefs because he doesn't run his mouth to the media all the time. Bauer likely won't be signed because of his constant outbursts.
I'm not saying he isn't a major league caliber player still but he's playing against players in Mexico who wouldn't make a double A team. Congrats on 25 years and knocking out all the parks. How many retired parks have you seen a game in?
Congratulations on 25 years of marriage to Julie! What an awesome wife who will plan a trip to help you knock out the last two current stadiums on your list. My wife said the same to me. We already went to Atlanta and she said we should go to Texas to go to Globe Life. I’m going to wait until it is a little cooler in Texas. 😂 I will send you an email about contributing to the RU-vid get together. I’m with you about Trevor Bauer. Whatever happened in this country about innocent until proven guilty? What happened to values of forgiveness? I think that teams are worried about optics and backlash. I don’t know Trevor personally, but he may not be good for a clubhouse? Some team should give him a shot.
Hi Mike, congrats to you and your wife on 25 years of marriage. I would sign Trevor Bauer in a minute. I don't understand why a MLB team has not. Looking forward to meeting you at the You Tube get together.
No one will be signing Trevor Bauer, and it's such a shame! There is no greater injustice than Trevor Bauer not being able to pitch more in Major League Baseball. Nothing happening in the world today is worse than that. I mean, what an awesome role model the guy is. It makes me so mad! Just because MLB knows more than the general public about additional accusations, and they're bad -- so what?! He pitches the ball good, and women are liars, amIright?
A bunch of hooey with Bauer? There are four accusers, one that got a protective order against him. Now, it appears that one of the four accusers was allegedly lying and trying to bilk him. If you rob a few banks, people start calling you a bank robber and don't stop when you are found not guilty on the last heist. I can understand no one wanting to take a chance on him.
If I was a team like the brewers who are getting decimated by injuries to their pitchers, I'd sign Bauer. I agree. I don't understand why he's been blackmailed
Political, who he supports, that's part of it for sure and he was out spoken about the comish also and he apologized about the comish stuff also. I love watching those videos too. Hope this helps. Take care and God bless
Congrats on 25 years! That'll be a cool thing to have been to every MLB stadium. As far as the Bauer stuff, I won't mention my thoughts on that as I don't want to politicize your comments section too much. Bauer is the wrong thing in a few categories, as is the Commish. Bad combo.
A dang shame Bauer is not in MLB. We as fans, are missing the opportunity to see a real talent. Odd ball, yes, rapist, no. My team (Brewers) could desperately use him. Not right!!!!!!
I think Bauer should be in MLB easily. His stuff is on point, I think people with FAR worse are able to be in, why can’t he? ALL allegations have been proven False, and he’s even in a countersuit to earn back what he’s lost out on.
Pretty sure that the Trevor Bauer issue is one of addition by subtraction. The man is a bit of a cancer in the clubhouse. Most teams could obviously use more pitching, but how would that affect the clubhouse dynamic. Just saying. Great discussion. Hope to see you in Cleveland.
The soft bigotry of low expectations definitely plays a part in the Bauer situation (compared to other players who have done worse and are still playing)
I thought for sure the Rangers signed Bauer based on your title alone! I completely agree with everything you said. I’ve followed the situation closely since it began and it blows my mind still.
The MLB is butt hurt about Bauer. He has a been a vocal critic of things. Any of this Locker Room cancer stuff is BS. There are countless players throughout the years that may not be loved by teammates, but help us win and we don't care. There would be zero public backlash if he was signed either. What team wouldn't benefit from him on the roster, especially at the veteran minimum.
You have no idea what you’re even talking about. You’ve let your mind wander and talked yourself into conspiracy theories only a “went to high school” diploma could fall for.
Take a close look at what he did to that woman. Whether she was asking for it or not, he should have never done that to her. That is somebody’s daughter. If that was my daughter he would have been lucky to have a pulse. Seriously questioning why?
Bauer has without question been blacklisted. Tons of teams need starting pitching. Heck the Rangers could really use him. Part of the reason Bauer was blacklisted is because he's been super critical of Rob Manfred and he also put a big spot light on spider tack. Then his relationship with the media is very ugly, most of the baseball media openly hate him.
Just great Mike! Bauer should be playing in MLB but the Commissioner and The Politics of MLB are morons. Just my opinion I enjoyed the cards. I can throw some cash towards the get together. How should I send it or I can give it to you at the National
@@dougchristy1978these Bauer lovers are able to turn off their brains and twist themselves in pretzels to avoid confronting the obvious reality that Bauer is not a victim of politics or moral hypocrisy. He’s just a bad teammate and toxic person. One person can ruin an entire workplace in any industry.
He will never sue MLB, because in such a case there would be what's called "discovery." That means MLB would be able to investigate and bring to light and into a courtroom more scummy Bauer behavior, and he doesn't want that. Ask yourself this: If he's really been treated so unfairly, and his accusers are all liars (including the ones that MLB knows about but which aren't public), and he's lost $50 million because of all this, why isn't he suing? Duh.
