Your relationship to your historical culture is what matters.

If your great or 2nd great grandparent was Native, I think that's about the cut off for where you may or may not be good to keep identifying as being somewhat Native. Being of Native heritage is different. But in truth, if the language wasn't passed, you're really not of any Indigenous culture even if you have the blood.

If You can call white Europeans and Semitic people of middle east and black Indians as caucasoids belonging to one race in a broader context. I see no reason why Native Americans and Asians are not the same race with a few variations. Heck south east asians and East Asians don't look the same either.

Look, we have to assert that the Philippines as a nation is on par with the Indian Nations. For two reasons.

Hawaii, Philippines, Alta California/Mexico, and Indian Nations were all colonized in the same wave of U.S. aggression. So the relationship to the United States is very similar between these peoples.
