What about someone that kept their bodyfat at 25% for 5 years straight, you think nothing would happen since they are not cutting or bulking? I don't see how they wouldn't make gains just because they aren't actively gaining weight

Good video. I’m wondering how to cut and shred weight without losing strength. I’m 5’8”, 204lbs and 47 years old- somewhere around 28% BF and completely natural. in August I hit an all-time 1RM bench of 325. I realize I need to drop body fat, but I want to keep climbing in numbers. I can shred, but I’ll lose strength and what little muscle I’ve been able to scrounge. No. 😂 I want to do and keep both.

Hi Timothy, thanks for your comment. It's very difficult to provide a personalized answer to this solely via text messaging and without having more information. A generalized satellite view on the situation would be to not rush the fat loss process. 0.8lbs-1.5lbs loss per week for example. Again, this is just an example. If performance is suffering perhaps the lower end of the range is more suitable and/or your program could use a proper adjustment. Try to maintain as much strength as possible throughout your cut. Whatever helped you build muscle will help you maintain it, so don't drastically switch your routine with the exception of adding a certain amount of cardio and/or a potential reduction in training volume to accommodate recovery needs. It is possible to gain strength and lose fat/weight in the process depending on body fat percentage, mindset and how your program is set up!
