That's such an enormous disparity considering as little as one or two per game can change the momentum and entire outcome of a particular game - especially if it's close down the stretch.
It gets even worse if you compared it to the 2nd team. There is absolutely no chance that this is legit. Like 0 chance. You could calculate it. It is mathematically rigged.

Damn, as a Lakers fan is disappointing even if we play well and deserve to advance past Denver. People will always question everything. smh The problem here is the legue itself not controlling the product. I never liked David Stern but I have to say, I miss him. LMAO
@gugy68 the only hope the Lakers have to come out of the series looking good is to blow out Denver myltiple games without a crazy FT advantage. Even then people will call into question that the only way they got there in the first place was because of the refs.
0:33 Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes vs Angel Reese’s LSU Tigers Elite Eight game on April 1, 2024 received 12.3 million viewers. This 12.3 million viewers for a women’s college basketball game was higher than the ratings of 18 of the last 23 NBA Finals Games. So obviously when people say that they rather see Caitlin Clark play instead of Bronny James (or LeBron James), this is not a joke.
Annnnnd the next two games she played--against Uconn and the Natty v South Carolina were even higher. The national championship game was the most watched basketball game in five years.
@@skap_attack When you have women's basketball getting more viewers than "Lebum's NBA" that's all the evidence you need that he helped ruin the league. I can't wait for your reaction to Eddie House's response to Leblame if you haven't made a video already. 🤣🤣🤣
Did you know that there are more homes with traditional TV than there were in 90’s? They love to use people moving to streaming as the scapegoat, so they say a less percentage of the population is watching. That’s true, but when you factor in population growth you still have more homes with traditional TV. The truth is that the stuff on traditional TV has become so unwatchable that people have using the cable they are still paying for. I researched the numbers myself and would recommend people check for yourselves. There are more people today with traditional cable than at any point in the 90’s. Including when well over 20 million people were tuning into the NBA playoffs. Why do you think the NFL continues to grow on traditional platforms, but the NBA can’t? Funny thing is that the NBA includes other platforms in its ratings. That how far it’s fallen.
I used to shit all over the credit people gave David Stern for saving the league. I would say, “Don’t thank him, thank Magic and Larry. Stern just did what any idiot could figure out and mirrored what the NCAA had done with their rivalry.” Adam Silver is what happens when you assign the title of Commissioner to a pushover who could fuck up a ham sandwich. His reign has given me a newfound appreciation for the late David Stern.
Adam Silver is a hypocrite!!! Didn't a Business Partner of LeBron James, Maverick Carter admitted betting on NBA games? Why is a player who is still playing in the NBA ALLOWED to be part of an Agency that represents NBA PLAYERS? DON'T you think that Klutch Sports, LeBron's Business partner could have their players influence games?
I have said this from the inception of Klutch Sports founding. The conflict of interest has been HUGE! This is disgusting. If I was in government, I would open an investigation into them, LeBron James and Klutch Sports and their ties.
For reference the series ever LeBron fans cries about, the 02 kings Lakers, the kings had 3 games shooting 10 more free throws than the Lakers, while the Lakers had 2 with 10 plus over the series, and kings also ended the series with a plus 20 differential, yet that's concluded as a rigged series, cause a ref who didn't even officiate the series claims the NBA rigged it. But LeBrons Lakers shoot 160 free throws to the warriors 80 over 6 games, and have 3 separate games with a plus 20 differential over the 6 game series. Yet LeBron and his media cronies never mention it was rigged.
I made a comment on bballbreakdown's video on Lakers vs Pelicans pointing out how LeBron shot 30% from the field and the Lakers shot twice as many FTs. All the replies were people unironically telling me how the Lakers are 'amazingly disciplined at defense' and simply 'don't foul' or that 'every call was correct'.
They said last year the warriors don't know how to play fundamental defense but the Lakers are a really good defensive team 😂 even Anthony Davis is constantly going over the back and jumping into the offensive players, hitting arms without getting called for fouls. It's pathetic to watch, but it's why so many people don't watch it anymore, we watched 15 years of LeBron getting rigged games in his favor, once he started telling everyone how great he was it was just too much to even take as a fan of basketball.
It is one of the most staggering metrics I have ever seen in nearly 30 years of following the NBA. That fact they've shot over 1000 more than their opponents in the last two years...AND that number is over 700 more than anyone else. Incredibly staggering.
This is a really embarrassing look for the entire NBA league for EVEN ALLOWING Something like this to happen at all. Just shows that certain NBA players nowadays don’t even take Basketball seriously at all.
The fact that half of the on air analysts suggested LA throw their play-in game against New Orleans and were serious about it goes to the shadiness of a league the NBA has become.
Why does Adam Silver look like an ageless eldritch horror that sustains himself by devouring the life force of puppies and kittens wearing a human skin suit?
Rules only apply to the "nobodies" of the league. How many times has LeBron been called for travels, offensive and defensive fouls, complaints at the refs, flops, PEDs, tampering and many more rules he constantly breaks? I can't believe some delusional people think flopping is getting fixed because the refs give techs to "nobodies" who do it and, very rarely, to a known player
There is mucho bias for the stars, but when you say "PEDs" where is the evidence? If you just cite how he is still well built & athletic when he has insane abilities & despite all the advantages he gets his production is still not proportionately closer to his (extremely high) peak (Stockton had a better year at 40 than Lebron in absolute terms, despite a much lower peak, & weighed 170 lbs)... Then it seems you are also biased & not being fair. And what is the tampering you are speaking of? There is enough real things to complain about without just assuming anything any hater dreams up is true-like just above you someone says "literally everyone" knows they are cheating for LeBron... Nah that is factually untrue-this is a fevered echo chamber, we do not actually know if even the majority of folks believe it. Outrageous claims absent trying to be rational or fair destroy credibility.
@@SilverSkitterscuttle using fancy words won't help your cause, man. Where is the evidence? That's the point! He's protected, evidence will never come out! I get that people still want it anyways to actually believe, I do agree to some extent, but there are way too many coincidences to just completely discard it until a piece of paper tells you what to believe. We can disagree about PED use to some extent, but LeBron cheating the league and tampering is a fact, period. There are many examples, but my favorite is Anthony Davis publicly requesting a trade to the Lakers without any punishment unlike... Literally anyone else (Miami got punished for the Lillard situation last year). The superteam Heat was planned to be even more unfair, like LeBron wanting Steve Nash, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul! If they didn't reject him, this probably would have happened without any punishment from the league no matter how
@@bosyogurtlight Rejecting or critiquing any arguments because the words sound "fancy" to you is just as unfair as an elitest complaint that anyone did not use sophisticated enough language! It is like a cliche of a character being angry at a "College Boy" lol! And I did not put on any pretensions, just expressed myself naturally... But it is not reasonable to assume guilt-for anyone-& then make it beyond any scien-terrific or logical assessment by claiming it will be hidden...To fairly condemn anyone you gotta cite evidence-if I said the same about any sports figure or political candidate it would sound like conspiracy theory nuttery. Now I am open to hearing HOW LeBron might have done wrong or be corrupt-& "paper" is just one way to get evidence as is testimony...But you did not tell me how he cheated anyone or tampered, as I asked! A.D. requested the trade, you can use that as an example-about him. The Miami team-if he was rejected in stacking-but again details to decide what is right & wrong need to be discussed-then that shows how he did not have enough juice or leverage there, right? Actual valid evidence is something like how many extra foul calls the Lakers seem to get. But it is useful to isolate how many more may go to LeBron-& look at their playing habits to see IF they should draw more or less fouls than an average team. It does seem that he does not get called for fouls enough... But is it more-I think so but actual analyses is needed-than other stars get? And if you will differ about the steroid allegations cite evidence. Neither his bulk (height/weight or growth rate ever) nor (much declined from his peak) nor performance-especially considering all the advantages folks say he get & the 7 figures spent yearly on personal training...is at all suspicious. Nor is there evidence to damn him with guilt by association. Not saying he could NOT have used. Maybe he did; like any top athlete. But there are a spate of Pure Hate videos about James & they are often irrational & vicious!
@@bosyogurtlight It is not kosher to reject arguments or not even address them due to language seeming "fancy": sounds like a cliche of a movie where a nefarious character condemns "College Boy" language lol! Nor do you have cause to believe I am being anything else than my natch'yal self. Just like it would be elitest & wrong for me to attack words as too simple instead of focusing on content. Nobody said that due to protection no evidence will ever emerge-& that is a crazy circular conspiracy theory argument. Anyone could dis anybody without accountability by speculating about all proof being disguised-but whether "paper" or eye witness testimony or video we need actual facts to trash someone's reputation. But you shifted the goalposts: I asked for evidence of LeBron tampering-I did not say it never happens-& you shifted to A.D.-if he did the thing you cannot faith-based assume he escaped sanction due to someone else. I am open to hearing actual evidence, but the league *rejecting* what James wanted in Miami shows the opposite of favoritism. Looking at how many extra calls LEBRON gets-& compared to other superstars-would be a useful argument. To do so you gotta see how often he gets-or avoids calls-compared to others who are big stars. The steroid allegations seem part of the infection of many Pure Hate videos about LeBron. I've read a good deal about what is achievable naturally & lifted for decades.\ There is neither specific evidence to find him guilty-although he may be, & maybe you or I am a wife-beater or secret murderer-but assuming so is wrong-in both senses. Nothing about his size, weight gain & strength is beyond an athlete with superb genetics & avidly training with the best help money can buy. NOR is his level of performance suspicious for his age-especially if you argue his stats are inflated due to favoritism. He is NOT unusual in the rate of decline, considering these factors + the actual stratospheric level he played at during the years of his peak.
Not him getting banned for Life when the likes of Josh Giddey and Miles Bridges are still in the league. You'd bet he's not the only who's ever been caught either but he's a role player and not an all Star so who cares right? This a complete crap indeed
This is likely going on with more frequency than people think. BUT, he was a little too blatant with some of the stuff he was doing, as were the bettors he told.
Facts! I feel like this move is the league trying save face. They know about brons allegations. Acting like they care about the integrity of the game smh
The Eastern conference only had 8 teams with winning records. You can't make a reasonable argument as to why the Atlanta Hawks with a 36-46 record and the Bulls at 39-43 should be competing with the Heat and Sixers who were both double digit games above .500. The play-in tournament should be renamed to The Lebron James Invitation.
Draymond said Adam Silver was more about helping you than punishing you. Except now, apparently, where we get a life ban for a first offense on a player who conveniently doesn't matter as much to the league or any particular team.
What's the difference between betting on your own games you play in and rigging a game for a certain team ? No difference at all. Both are the same thing
@@skap_attack I will say people shouldn't act like this is some stain on Steph's legacy cuz he's 36 the fact that he's gonna make all nba 3rd team and still good enough to take the team to 46 wins with no other all stars in this stacked conference should be impressive. @@baxterbrown8088 Oh stop it, Steph got taken out by a 38 year old LBJ last year as the reigning champ and couldnt even carry his team to a play-in victory this year. Continuing further by stating “I didn’t want to lay an egg”. How can anyone seriously think that a guy of Lebron’s “pedigree” is in any kind of discussion w/ the likes of Kobe Bean Bryant who was winning 3 consecutive NBA Titles starting at the age of 21…. One guy is worried about embarrassing himself while the other is focused on winning 8+ championships….

I'm a 50+ year Denver Nuggets fan. Up until last season the Lakers were our primary obstacle to reaching the NBA Finals (we'd lost to them in the Western Conference Finals multiple times prior to last season). Considering the way Silver and the NBA brass have "assisted" the Lakers over the years, it will come as no surprise if they get a huge advantage in foul calls and free throws in the upcoming series. With the banning of Jontay Porter, it stands to reason that the NBA is taking a very close look at his brother Michael, who is an integral part of the Nuggets starting five. Is it a stretch to speculate that they could pull the rug out from under Denver by saying he was involved in Jontays gambling activities? Considering what they do with blatant favoritism when it comes to officating and scheduling (you didn't mention the fact that the Lakers didn't leave the Pacific time zone for road games down the stretch), I wouldn't put anything past them when it comes to their pet market Lakers.
Mark my words, this will get so blatant and obvious that the feds will step in and tell the NBA to put an end to this or else they will. Basketball is not only the most “influenced” sport, but it’s got the most tattered recent history with betting scandals and the league clearly massaging results.
I love how it’s not a conflict of interest for the NBA to be in charge of officiating when they directly benefit from merchandising and advertising based on certain outcomes. 🤔
The NBA was already rigging games. But as soon as the gambling was legalized anyone with common sense knew there would be problems. It'll only continue to get worse as the integrity of the game completely dissolves.
All kidding aside, were it not for your videos and a handful of others, namely AngryOldHoops, I'd literally never see any modern basketball. It's just horrendous to look at. Yes, there ARE some great individual players, but the sport itself has morphed so much that it's a shell of what it was and what made it appealing. For any younger viewers, if you can stomach the poor video quality, go back and watch mostly full games of Jordan's early years in the 80s. Watch what REALLY having no fucking help looks like. See how dynamic and athletic and hard working he was. See how much different the game was...how much more competitive. Love the vids, Skap...great job as always.
The hypocrisy extends to ALL OF THE PROFESSIONAL LEAGUES. They're literally sponsored by betting companies, their athletes have always gambled with their disposable income on planes and buses in their free time, and they're surprised these competition addicts are getting caught up in betting rings.
The NBA makes more money off of everything that involves gambling than anything else. Ratings don't matter to them anymore. The "integrity of the game" doesn't matter anymore. If the NBA cared, even a little bit, about fans, they would have done something about the referees a long time ago. Just one of many things they could have, but didn't, do differently to peak fan interest and repair the damaged integrity of the game. This is what the NBA is now. It's not going to change.
While I understand the economics of gabling and sports ($$$$$$) in the end will backfire because the integrity of the game will be questioned by the fans. Not just the a player or a referee here and there but franchise and the league itself. This is not a NBA only problem but all leagues that use gambling to profit.
Agreed. You would like to think players are making too damn much money to do this, but we are seeing it more and more. The NFL has suspended a couple of players over the last few years. I think it is more common than any casual fan cares to admit...
Euroleague is way better. The talent is not up there with the NBA but it's actually basketball how it's supposed to be played. And then you got the crowds (Partizan, Crvena Zvezda, Maccabi, Panathinaikos, Olympiacos, Zalgiris) and it's just a way better product than the NBA. Yes the referees make mistakes but at least they aren't rigging games for some teams like they do in the NBA for the Lakers.
0:35 that's so damn disrespectful to Caitlyn bro. She was smoking hot for her college tenure. We all dissed the WNBA but she FORCED us to watch women hoops. She's a legend bro. Regardless of men's era going on. She should get this much attention in any era
Man it’s so tough for basketball fans to witness this garbage. As a kid in the 90’s I remember watching triple headers on NBC when the playoffs came around. All day, back to back to back. Loved basketball. Haven’t watched a game in about 7 years now.
It’s kind of hypocritical of pro sports to not allow players to gamble when the leagues partner with gambling companies, promote gambling during their games, pre-games, and post-games. Pro sports became even more suspect once they partnered with gambling companies and it’s pretty blatant.
We are about to witness the biggest corruption in NBA history, the referees are about to work double time and a half to help LEBALCO win this series. The Nuggets have to get ready for all the shady shit that’s about to happen, the nuggets fans need to step up and put a stop to this..!!!!!
I really love basketball but it is incredibly hard to watch it this past year there's always been controversial calls but it's blatantly obvious when they rigged games now
I was always hyped when the playoffs started, but now I'm like " who gives a shit?". Yeah the NBA has clearly lost me. Gonna spend my time with hockey.
It is sad. This used to be the BEST time of the entire year! Really shocking how pathetic the product as a whole is. I think it's time for the NBA to get some new leadership at the top...
As a laker fan, watching them bam this kid and destroy his future for something the nba and its owners do every day is beyond hypocritical. It really disgusts me
