Although i do have to say that shady score keeping and home stats raise questions on a lot of older players' records, i think every star player's stats are massively inflated. If you look now on whats officially considered an assist, you can find that modern players like bron are receiving assists for passing to a player who doesnt score until a significant amount of play later. This makes the numbers sensational and makes the players look good. Its still happening now. And even worse when you consider lax traveling rules and foul calls.
@@itzwakk335 I did bruh. His whole thing was "hopefully there's more oversight so stats aren't snuck in like how they used to be" when stats are literally inflated today, the method is just different. Easy to add more numbers when you relax the criteria by absurd levels. Bro's pretending like it's not still a problem. Also when tf I bring up jordan? If anything you sound like a bron fan who's feelings I just hurt.
Honestly I want to see a video on Nick Van Exel Because he is a very interesting player especially when he was on the lakers pre three peat Shaq and Kobe
Now there needs to be an investigation on "fouls" and travels in this last passing and current era. Also all the personal grudge "technical foul" calls against Rasheed Wallace or Tim Duncan on the bench laughing on the bench or Allen Iverson not getting calls because the referees didn't like him. Or all the the technicals called against Westbrook. We can do this all day.
Or the roughly +1000 FT discrepancy by the Lakers over the last couple years. That has helped LeBron rest on defense while stat hunting on offense, meanwhile the Lakers stay competitive despite that because of that discrepancy. Not to bring up politics, but it's a similar deal with the Trump charges. All politicians have dirt if you dig. Biden weaponized the FBI to take down a political opponent. LeBron is weaponizing the media to take down "the ghost in Chicago". Sorry if you're a liberal and I offended you somehow with the analogy, but tbh, it's a perfect analogy.
This is why EVERY NBA debate has an asterisk, not just some Rings and some Silverware. Awards are ALWAYS subjective, never neutral. Rings are won by TEAMS, not Players or Coaches alone Unless you saw the man play, you don't know jack about their skill level bc AWARDS that sports and media people VOTE FOR sure as hell aren't how you find out and stats are just stats... Jordan bullied his way to a DPOY, we all know MVP or ROY votes that were nonsensical...NEVER argue by awards, there's NO point and NO WAY I'm just gonna go and count stuff to see who's better. That's not how it works! That ish only tells you who got the most recognition that year or begged for it the hardest
Ok then. So championships, awards and stats don't count. Only eye test, I guess. Then I don't see how any rational person could watch MJ and LeBron and come to any conclusion other than Jordan was better at basketball. He didn't rely on bully ball or lowering his shoulder. Jordan had a better handle than LeBron. A quicker first step. Better in the post. Better mid-range. Quicker laterally. Better free throw shooter. Even Jordan's passing highlights are arguably better. Jordan played passing lanes better. Quicker hands on defense. Gave more effort on defense. LeBron has bully ball on Jordan. Anything else?
@@John6-40 hold on. They do count, it's just not ONE guy who decides if you get a ring or not and awards are CLEARLY given under somewhat biased circumstances. Are you trying to tell me you were okay with all MVPs, DPOYs and ROYs in your lifetime from a somewhat reasonable and neutral standpoint? They're clearly given by narrative. I'm not even gonna go into GOAT territory, LeBron and MJ have had vastly different play styles and careers in vastly different eras, I don't even know how to compare one to the other but sure, if anyone is the GOAT of Basketball, it was always gonna be Jordan since the day he left. Why debate the obvious? We can debate if prime Bron did more for a team than prime Jordan or who would be better in the other's era but all of that is mute. Jordan redefined basketball for the globe, that includes me, after that LeBron could only achieve one thing: redefining longevity. Did that. Okay. What I'm pointing to is the fact that when you know the stats can both be rigged and padded, knowing that people vote for awards based on stats ALONE is a PROBLEM. People are awarded contracts generating generational wealth based on obviously and demonstrably flawed statlines. If that's 'just sports' for you, fine... Another point is strictly for people trying to make bets or give prophecies: don't go by awards or stats, go by what you know or who you know. Bet against them if you know they're worse than the stats and awards make them look. Bet on them if you think they're underrated. Don't bet on the guy with 4 MVPs, he may not even care anymore and be a bad bet ...
The only "sketchy" thing is singling out Jordan for something that (apparently) decades worth of players were guilty of. Sometimes. Maybe. What's also sketchy is the roughly +800 Free Throws LeBron's team has gotten vs his opponents over the last couple years. Maybe we should throw the whole NBA in the toilet if we're going down this rabbit hole. When you just single out Jordan, you look like a click hunter or a LeBron fanboy. Maybe both.
There is video evidence from this year alone that shows scorekeepers are padding LeBron's rebounds and assists. Ya know how Scottie said Jordan would get credit when he tipped a ball to Jordan? LeBron, aaaaaall the way here now in the 2023-24 season, gets credit for rebounds when AD or another teammate tips it to him. His teammates, though, do not get credit for a rebound when he tips it to them - that goes to LeBron too. Funny isn't it 🤔
Also, let's not even go into how most assists are "judgement calls". How many times have we seen LeBron basically hand the ball to a guy on a simple pass and get an assist after the guy shook the opponent with a dribble move and get the bucket? Again, if we really dig deep in this rabbit hole, we won't like what we see. But the point from those digging isn't to expose some grand conspiracy in the NBA. It's to take down Jordan and prop up their false idol because his career is essentially over and he still hasn't caught Mike. If we weren't talking about THIS, we were talking about the Lakers falling apart and LeBron getting a black HC fired for his white friend. Or how toxic LeBron is to teams. Instead, we're now trashing Jordan. LeBron truly is the "goat" of running the media and flipping the narratives.
@@John6-40 Bingo. 100% true. Klutch Sports has tried everything - 90s NBA was weak because of expansion, Scottie Pippen was the real reason the Bulls won, they played against plumbers, now this. It was incredibly stupid of them to go this route since we have lots of video evidence of scorekeepers padding LeBron's stats, but they were backed into a corner when LeBron said he believes he would he the GOAT if he won a DPOY 🤣🤣🤣
@@JeremyGraczykYep. All of LeBron's recent DPOY talk was him setting the table for this. He knew what was coming because he and Klutch are pulling the strings. 10 or 20 years down the road, LeBron is going to be exposed for all of this. You don't even have to scratch very hard beyond the surface to see how much LeBron has corrupted the media to change narratives for him. Eventually, I believe LeBron will be disregarded entirely as a player. Just like the Hit King Pete Rose. The only difference is that baseball had integrity. The NBA and Adam Silver? I'm not so sure. Especially after the free throw discrepancies over the last couple years (at least) favoring LeBron's Lakers.
Just to say about Jordan, he wasnt a perfect guy or basketball player and its honestly fine. At his very worst you could say he was a selfish, butthurt, crybaby who was supremely talented, skilled and consistent. At his best, hes the best we've ever seen and classy and a team player. Usually, the truth is a mix of the two or appreciating both.
Hakeem averaging 4 BPG was interesting. One of the best defensive players in NBA history and an elite rim protector in his career. Him averaging 5.7 BPG compared to just 3.5 on the road is outrageous. That home arena scorekeeper seemed kind of sketchy.
Before, assist is only counted with less than 2 dribbles. Now, you can take a pass, dribble more than thrice, jab and take a fade. Still counts as an assist. And we're here talking about stats inflation 😂
This is some LeBron fandom, when you look at LeBron's assists they are highly inflated either home or away. He gets a steal when player knocks the ball to his hands. He gets the rebound when somene knocks the ball to his hands. Each game they remove couple of his shots to boost his fg percentage, and they do that for his entire career.
Interesting, any clips or certain game you could remember? I'd love to check it out. Especially the removing shots to boost FG% Any particular game comes to mind? Imma go find the full game

Finally someone debunked Stockton's statpadding myth. Thank you. Even today that bs is still spread. Btw, one reason the record is so hard to brake its because Stockton played 19 seasons snd in 17 of those he played all 82 games.
1 reason for Stockton having the assist record cause he played with Karl Malone, both were insanely healthy they played 1400 games together and with one being a pretty efficient assister and the other being a super effecient scorer i mean he was 1400 points of the record
The only good thing I can possibly speak of when it comes to sports betting's impact on sports is that, now that money is on the line, people are actually paying attention to how stats are recorded.😮
Have you ever personally looked into your claim, or do you just take is as implicit truth? Because it's completely wrong. Can't post links on youtube so look up the following from Defector. It was published on March 5, 2024 about this most recent season: "We Tracked A Night’s Worth Of NBA Assists, And Many Of Them Are Baloney"

If we look close enough today, LeBrons assists are easily inflated. He passes the ball and then his team goes into an iso possession and scores. How is that facilitating the offense at all?
It was inspired by all the negative media focus being on LeBron for being a team cancer who got a black HC fired for his white podcating propaganda slinger. I wouldn't doubt at all if Pippen is getting payouts from Klutch now. Hating on Jordan is mutually beneficial to both LeBron and Pippen now. An enemy of an enemy is my friend. The best thing about Jordan's stat-keeping is the game where he was credited with 4 steals, and the opposing team only had 3 turnovers. Lack of video evidence is the only thing keeping the Jordan acolytes vocal about their prophet.

They shorten the 3 point line for MJ too and his 3 point percentages were at his best those years that they did it. Meanwhile they gave Tyson Chandler and Marc Gasol the DPOY in 2012, 2013… neither one of them could even make the FIRST TEAM ALL DEFENSE… it’s sad, these individual awards are honestly starting to become very meaningless. The media pushes narratives and it’s not fair. Bron should have ATLEAST one DPOY, which would obviously help is goat case ALOT… topic for another day but Jordan is also so blessed that he didn’t play in the social media era. One example, is that they would’ve crucified him for that 1991 ring. Pippen switching on to Magic changed the series and what’s even crazier.. Worthy and Scott were hurt and both missed games that series… if this was Bron, we’d hear how this was a Mickey Mouse ring or something… the NBA community has to be better
The nba shortened the 3 point line because scoring was decreasing but it didn’t do anything so they changed it and ,just guarded magic in games 3,4,5 if you watch the proper thing magic was only guarded by Scottie in game 2
1. Jordan was playing baseball when they shortened the line. 🤦♂️ 2. Jordan shot .343 (LeBron's career %) in the 4 seasons prior to his retirement. He was fine from 3 and didn't need the league's help. Dumb take. You were looking for likes and just came up with whatever asinine bullshit sounded cool. That's the problem with you kids and the internet. You don't care about actually thinking things through or saying the (actual) correct thing. You just care about saying something profound (right or wrong) that gets you noticed by others. Do better.
Nope. Number 1, if NBA DPOY had been awarded by the media in 2012-13, Tony Allen still would have won with 53 votes to LeBron's 52. Number 2, do you think the voters back in the 80s just didn't watch any games? All they did was get together at the end of a season, look at each statistical category, and give it to the guy with the most steals / blocks / etc.? Just because you never watched Jordan play doesn't mean the people alive during that time didn't. We're not all 20-year old keyboard warriors with an attention span only capable of watching 10 minute clip videos. Number 3, even if Jordan got credit for a certain number of steals / blocks that shouldn't have been counted (which Tom Haberstroh has not made the video from any of the games he looked at available, so there is no way to tell if he's actually telling the truth), every single star gets their stats padded a certain amount, even to this day. In the 2023-24 season alone, LeBron got credit for rebounds his teammates tipped to him, then also received credit for rebounds he tipped to teammates. He got credit for assists where the guy dribbled, drove, made basketball moves before shooting, that shouldn't be counted as assists. If you want to call Jordan's DPOY award into question based purely on stats, then we need to call every single award LeBron James has ever won into question too 👏👏👏

I don't feel Home vs Road can be considered as solid evidence for inaccurate stat keeping. It'd have been much better if you took the film, recorded it with today's standards, and compared it with the box scores at the time.
Okay but what about the stat keepers' bias against the away team players? Is there any research lets say, if the Pistons' stat keeper put the correct stats for Jordan playing against them at Detroit? Do you think it can cancel out the home team stat keeper's padding?
What’s next, Bronny Sr was stat padded on road games for his turnovers?? If they have to work this hard to discredit Jordan, speaks volumes on how far ahead he is. Take the DPOY from Jordan, does that not make him the GOAT now??

I love how the entire purpose of that article was to slander Jordan and prop up Lebron in the GOAT debate (the writer Tom Haberstroh has been on record stating he thinks Lebron is the GOAT like 7 years ago btw, before he even won his 4th ring) and yet people in the comments here are saying "why are you bringing up Lebron in a video that has nothing to do with him? We all know the only reason why certain journalists and people want to do this, and it has everything to do with Lebron. The end of the article literally mentions the GOAT debate and has a video of Lebron in it... it mentions how DPOY is used by various people as a reason they have Jordan over Lebron in the GOAT debate (the entire purpose of the article at its core is to discredit/devalue Jordan's DPOY), and he specifically mentions instances where people have said this on video (including the likes of Jalen Rose), quoting them. So please stop with that nonsense.
FGM / FGA should also be corrected, especially in shooting foul. when a player is foul while taking a shot, FGM & FGA will be recorded he makes the shot, but NOT when he misses.

I like how Lebron was not mentioned once in the video but is the most commented topic. Interesting. Wow, there is so much lack of common sense here that my brain nearly exploded reading this. 1. LeBron himself can't keep Jordan out of his mouth. Your favorite media actors like Shannon Sharpe, Nick Wright and countless others can't keep Jordan out of their mouths. Everything used against Jordan is to prop up LeBron. Then when Jordan fans pop up for the latest attack, you fake surprise so you can pretend that Jordan fans are insecure? Laughable. 2. Who said Jordan "never missed a shot"? 3. Only idiots think "6 for 6" is the only argument Jordan has. 4. If this was ever about the total stats, then Kareem would've been the best ever, and still would be. He was 1st in points, with 6 championships and 6 league MVP's. Only after LeBron got the points record did yall try to act like it's about the totals. 5. Jordan averaged more points, steals and blocks with fewer turnovers. In both reg season and playoffs. Jordan has a higher PER and win shares per 48 in both reg season and playoffs. Jordan has 2 more championships, 1 more MVP and 3 more all-defense teams than LeBron, despite playing 6 fewer years. There. I just wrapped this "debate" up without even mentioning the DPOY, which still counts. 👍

There are numerous examples on youtube alone of LeBron James getting credit for assists and rebounds that he does not deserve.
