The NCR's Cut Content 

Another great vid Triangle, kudos once again. The bunker at 9:23 really intrigued me. Not because of what it could have been but because it's discovery obviously breaks the 4th wall but then is still almost immersive in a way. A big part of fallout is digging around in areas that have been left untouched for a long time and that bunker is sort of like a ruin you'd actually explore while in the Mojave. It's as if it just got covered up with rubble and was waiting for some prospector to crack it open. When you were looking around at what was inside I couldn't help but think back to how those props probably have not seen attention since a developer originally placed them there. I imagined a dev throwing some temp geometry in there expecting to flesh it out later and then closing the cell in the geck, never to look at it again. Just like a pre-war citizen leaving their basements for the last time before the bombs dropped. That is a feeling indicative of this whole series, but being able to actually dig up a little vault (pun intended) in the game files and look around is oddly immersive.

This game really needs a remaster

For as popular as New Vegas was/is - this channel is proposterously underappreciated.

It's crazy to think the NCR still got off lightly next to some of the other factions in terms of cut content. There could've been so much more to FNV.

Hey, I've sworn for years that there used to be NCR soldiers running the obstacle course. I remember from my first playthrough! I also didn't remember the wounded NCR soldiers in the minefield until you pointed them out! Dead Money came out only a few weeks after launch so those wounded soldiers were in the base game 6 weeks tops. It's crazy to me that they were cutting content even after launch lol

I’ve downloaded a content restoration mod that’s put the injured NCR soldiers in the mine field back into the game.

For such a monumental location, Boulder City barely has any quests

A super mutant ranger would've been awesome! Reminds of me of the rangers you meet in Fallout 2 with their super mutant.

It pisses me off so much when I remember how many NPCs they had to remove from the world in updates. The world is so empty and dead in New Vegas.

If I am not mistaken you can still say the line "I am going to pollute the ventilation system with the stinky corpse of a ncr soldier" to private Davey. You only need to do the Legion version of the quest, tell him you are in middle of a prank and when he asks you what is the prank you can tell him that line as a Terrifying presence dialogue (if you have the perk)

I can remember those injured soldiers near the dead money DLC entrance and wondering why they were removed, they really disturbed me when i was younger and found them lol

So much cut content...I do hope F4NV will restore some of this.

I remember in the ps3 version that was never updated u had the drill sargent and the recruits training but after it was updated it it disappeared.

Really enjoyed the video once again, it's made realise something: With the DLCs included, New Vegas is my favourite game of all time, but all the cut content would've made the base game alone just as good as the ultimate edition is now. Then DLCs on top of that would've just been unbelievably good. Unfortunately it wasn't to be - thanks a lot, terrible game engine.

In all these videos it feels like Liam O'Brien voiced ALL the cut lines!

They would put NV on top of the bestseller list if they added everything back in, finished everything they wanted and bought the rights to a couple Elvis songs like they originally tried.

Another theory for Jailhouse Rock, maybe it involves the Powder Ganger and depending on who you're siding with you can end them or have them join another faction, like The Kings

This was again incredible. The NCR had so much im happy that they didnt have as much cut content as the legion. Still Camp McCarran cut content is something to be desireable. It would have been amazing fighting the giant gecko. Could have had the cut drill Sargent die like McConaughey in reign of fire

I was re-watching some of the videos and I got a theory about Jailhouse Rock, I think it could be involved with finding rogue troopers or convicts disguised as NCR troopers and arresting them, perhaps even given in the NCR Military HQ.

That bunker looked like the BoS Sierra Madre bunker when you start the DLC.

Of course, Shitesda is the factor for these missing features

I remember the wounded NCR troops between Camp Forlone Hope and Nelson when this game first came out. I also remember if Boone was with you, he would comment about mercy killing those NCR troops.

Before I installed all the DLCs for the game, I remember there being at least three mortally wounded NCR troopers in the no man's land between Nelson and Camp Forlorn Hope. Only now do I find out that the Dead Money DLC is what disabled them. On the bright side, there is a mod that restores them, including the unique letter.

I love just hearing Liam O’ Brien voicing everything.

Honestly "But relief will follow unbearable suffering" fits the terrifying presence perk more, given how most of the perks dialogue is cheesy yet still kinda threatening phrases, where as the original line was more of a straight threat

Triangle City I can say without a doubt you are my favorite Fallout RU-vidr. The amount of effort you’ve put in your new Vegas cut content series alone blows me away, and I have learned more about the game from your channel than any other I’ve seen. I never thought I could love new Vegas more than I already did, but knowing what this game could’ve been makes me love it even more. I knew that there were characters missing. I never knew what happened to them. Now I know they were patched out

Prior to having a PSN account back in the day, i only Played NV offline, so being unpatched, a lot of this content that was later removed existed for me. It's a shame they got rid of the wounded in no man's land. It add a sense of horror when you realize just what the Legion is capable of.

The NCR was my favorite faction. They were pretty good

I would love to have super mutant Ranger Chauncey trying to negotiating peace with jacobs town but due to certain circumstances, he cant get a good deal due to current situation at the ski lodge already. I would guess, he would been talking to Marcus who is open to the talks

Lorewise the ncr obtained vertibird schematics and have lots of them. It would be nice and extremely cool if we can see fleets of Vertibirds donning the NCR symbol flying over the sky. That alone will make the Legion scared shitless

I have not played Vegas since 2014, but that does not stop me from watching videos of the game.

Fuck me, the limited ncr access is so cool! Just imagine what this game could have been if they had just pushed the release date until after Skyrim

"if FNV had a longer development cycle" i cant begin to tell you how loved this game would be if it didn't crash every five minutes or had extensive solved mod support.content was already plentiful and dialogue is nice to have role specifics, but id like the game to work first. saying that i still open it every 5 minutes it crashes.

Im confused.. in my fully updated game i had the soldiers at mccarren and the injured soldiers in the minefield.

I know it was cut and therefor is non-canon, but the fact that the NCR allowed a super mutant into the rangers really gets across that the NCR is a much more tolerant faction than I feel like they are given credit for.

Love the mods for the NCR, they can really flesh out the faction (and in the case of New Cali' mite as well be its own DLC) but I hate when modders have to do the work of the game developers

I feel like Ive ran into the injured NCR soldiers before. I know I have. I remember it clear as day.

If the game had more development time a lot could've been accomplished, however had Obsidian kept a ton of assets (for example overhauling the weapons and ammo was reckless with such a limited timeframe, the game would not be less of a game with only different unique weapons compared to FO3) and not started development on extras like Wild Wasteland then they'd have had time to work on core features and storyline elements.

I'll have nightmares about content being removed by a patch due to memory limitatons or to make room for the dlcs - only part of this might be patched back in by "uncut" mods.
