After the brown rot issues with my peach trees this past season I thought it would be wise to get into the food forest and clear some of the huge support trees. In today's video we are giving some love to the nectarine tree by opening up the canopy to give plenty more sunshine, space and airflow to hopefully reduce any fungal issues next spring and summer.
Join me as I take you through the essential steps to give my nectarine tree some much-needed attention. Learn about the importance of canopy management and soil health in a swale food forest setup.
- Opening up the canopy for better sunlight and airflow
- Benefits of support trees and their multi-functional roles
- Mulching strategies to improve soil health
