*The National Equality Party strongly condemns the arrests and ill-treatment of revenue employees of Azad Kashmir, demands approval and release of prisoners*
National Equality Party (NEP) Central Spokesperson Syed Nasir Kazmi has strongly condemned the recent arrests and ill-treatment of revenue employees of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Other important leaders of the party including former chairman Sajjad Raja, former chief organizer Khurshid Anwar, convening president Sarfraz Raja, former deputy organizer Syed Danish Ali, Aqib Rajput, Faisal Awan, secretary Wajid Khalil, Saqib Idris, Khalil Anjum, Hammad Chaudhry and Raja Naveed. has also expressed deep concern over this matter.
NEP strongly supports the legitimate demands of revenue employees and demands immediate release of all arrested persons. The party says that peaceful protest is a fundamental right of every individual which cannot be suppressed by force.
*"We support the approval of all legitimate demands presented by the revenue employees," said Sajjad Raja. **"Their peaceful protest is a legitimate expression of their rights and any attempt to suppress it by force will not be tolerated."*
The NEP requires the authorities to resolve the issues raised by the employees in a prompt and fair manner so that their voice is heard and acknowledged.
