I found another version of NTT which also has Tommy Oliver's orchestra, with Tom Kennedy as host. It's great also. The closing theme sounded familiar... it's sort of like this, just with vocals by Kathie Lee Johnson (Gifford). Here are the lyrics for it, which IMO actually fit with this one as well. Name that tune... that's your chance You can play with a special someone! It's so exciting and we're inviting you all to name that tune! Name that tune... try your hand and it could mean a hundred grand, hey! The nation's playing, the nation's saying, "Hey, I can name that tune!" (repeat 2nd verse once) Yeah!
Loved watching Name That Tune on Family Channel in the mid 90s. If someone brings out a new version sometime, they really should stick with this theme music. This is perfect... there's no need to change it. There was a pilot of a new NTT made for CBS in 2018, but sadly they turned it down.

I do to but the problem is with all the tunes played on Name that tune Gsn would have to pay a lot of music royalties so the only way to see Name that tune is on you tube.
Unfortunately if the they (or Buzzr) want to play Name that Tune, they're going to have to pay a king's ransom for the re-runs rights that are now more expensive than when USA and Family Channel (now Freeform) had to pay.
I wish they would have brought back Tom Kennedy for the New $100,000 Name That Tune, I think it would have been cool if they had said, and now the star of Name That Tune, TOM KENNEDY!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, but this updated version of the show was very good, not saying anything negative about Jim Lange, but I remember Tom Kennedy best as the host of Name that Tune, and I love this theme song as well :)

Absolutely one of my favorite theme song ever.I miss Red Benson, George De Witt, Dennis James,Bill Cullen,Tom Kennedy and Jim Lange. They were the original hosts of Name That Tune.I wish Jane Krankoswi could have played it the way they did it.Melody Roulette,Tune Topics,Bid A Note And the Golden Medley.Randy Jackson is Okay.He is like Stan Worth And Tommy Oliver conduct music.RIP Tommy Oliver and Stan Worth.I wish Jane Krankoswi could update the Golden Melody from 7 tunes to 10 tunes.Jane could update the time limit from 30 Seconds to 60 Seconds. I wander why Jane Krankoswi could have dedicated the shows to the memory of the hosts that proceed her .
It's on now, and it's dreadful. The host has the personality of a twig. I generally like her acting but she's not good as a host of this show. Also, the show in general is bad. It's like a cruise ship sing along.
