We've done it. We've finally reached the point that Konami is officially and intentionally designing FTKs rather than them being incidental accidents. There's nowhere to go from here. It's only going to get worse.

The idea this ftks reminds of how Quinton debuted in Zexal. The guy dueled two people and took them both out in one turn. Whoops! I mean Quattro, not Quinton.
It's like Konami looked at Branded players using Explusion to lock the opponent into Gimmick Puppets via Nightmare's effect and thought "that should be the gameplan of Gimmick Puppets, now!".
I hate the fact that I know this, but this entire support wave is an extended anime reference, because Quattro's strat in zexal was to summon monsters to his opponents field and destroy them for damage, as seen on the Grinders and Strings
Becuz of the field spell you are protected from ash veiler moonlight chill Basically all monster effects even nib can't well I can try but it doesn't do anything becuz the tribute is an activated effect It can play around droll the only card that can do a thing is Infinite inperm and I guess droplet
DD crow on the RUM stops their entire combo line, Bystials and Belle will also throw a wrench into their plans since the field spell only protects monster they control and not those in the gy. If you really want to hate them out of the game Flying "C" is also a possibility
I am only now realizing that the field spell protects you from all monster effects not just ones on the field meaning it give all your puppets hand trap immunity!
Still can crow, shifter, and maxx C. Tho maxx C doesnt do much unless it make u draw imperm. Ghost ogre can still pop the field and ash can be used for that pupptet activated from hand, also nibiru can get rid of minster they give u to burn.
I mean, putting your own monsters on the opponent's field and then burn them for it sounds pretty interesting if you ask me. It's not like Gimmick Puppets are strangers to burn anyway, what with Giant Grinder and whatnot.

@@MiyaoMeow588FTK is unfair and be better banned, but dies to Nib (you Nib the xyz they give you) and you can Ash the lv8 they activate in hand + from Deck. GP is unfair and not fun to play against but Ash and Nib do answer it, to some extent.

Good gameplan? Because it has gameplan even before the new support. Just a joke gameplan of being a sitting duck trying to win with destiny leo alt wincon that literally require you have no backrow for 3 turns or sitting through with disaster leo burning them down under 2k and tried to end turn for another alt wincon instead of doing otk like a normal human does.
people really do have gimmick puppet ptsd from branded dont they. 90% of the comments Ive seen regarding this support have been either about getting the free body or spazzing about how this lets GP players lock them (even though none of the cards lets you summon nightmare on the opponent's turn)
This isn't even the definitve line for the ftk, there are so many varieties of ftks in this deck. All of the videos from youtube I have seen making the ftk have all been doing different kinds of combos and doing the ftk with different xyz monsters. They literally made a flexible ftk that can be stopped if they dont get the field spell or if you have droll or nibiru. This "maybe" wont be meta but even being tier 2 it would be extremely infuriating to play against, its either you get droll, nib and your opponent bricks or you go next. I hope this deck remains rogue cause this look so cancer.
What they don't mention in the combo is the fact if we give them fanatix they will be able to use the effect to pop one when we special summon a monster as it does not need material for the effect to go off. Field Spell wont protect because the Fanatix is an XYZ monster so they would be able to interrupt that combo line. And even if we fanatix it away when we summon it, the damage won't be enough to completely otk our opponent so we need one more way to get a xyz monster onto their field if you want to use the grinder golem effect twice
could be a complete oversight on their part but there is no stipulation in where they cannot use Fanatix to be able to pop a special summon monster of ours and just end our whole career

You heard that Branded players... time to change to Ido lock (Fk floodgates), but no way in hell they're keeping Nightmare puppet now that they can summon it to opponent's field (Nib, Gamma, Imperm protection without field, just in case they get Droll'd and can't OTK) Respect for the guide that actually included pricing on top of the ftk route

One of my favorite decks of all time finally gets be viable. I still have old deck profiles up from way back. Ah .... Im so happy :) Edit: when you make the link 2 in this combo, the opponent can use the XYZ's effect that you gave them and destroy the link monster and you lose the game. The combo shown has a weakness and can be stopped with the card YOU give them
Konami really gives no fucks designing an FTK strategy. I hate this approach with a passion because FTK player will either burn uninterrupted because their opponent didn't open the necessary handtraps which sucks for them OR they do open handtraps and now you come to the realization you're playing Gimmick Puppet so you're only ending on a trap. The field spell is not searchable but it's actually not stopping a lot since you would Ash the Martha effect in hand summoning two and Nibiru clears your field preventing burn.
I don’t like the fact you can FTK with this, bc it means its probably gonna get banned soon. Im super excited for this new support, but whats the point if it becomes incredibly degenerate and its immediatly banned?
I would love to play this other than the fact giant grinder is not long for this world lmao. But the IDEA is super cool, hope there'd another way to go about it that is less degen.
Since they're all machines you can run Therion King Regulus on cattle scream to beat nib. It naturally beats droll. Now it's just imperm to worry about.
I personally cannot wait for one of the oldest handtraps in the history of the game to finally become meta necessary for the first time, Hanewata: discard to not take burn damage for the turn. Combo plays thru all the good modern handtraps, totally impotent vs fluffy fairy ball that is a narrative foil to Kuriboh (prevents effect dmg vs battle dmg)
This wouldnt work though because your opponent could still use Makina's affect that says "If a monster(s) is Special Summoned to your opponent's field: You can target 1 of them; destroy it, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half its original ATK." so as soon as you link summon your opponent can activate this to destroy the link and ending your combo. no ftk. The field spell only protects from non xyz monsters.
I’m definitely gonna need to make a gimmick puppet deck. I loved these in Zexal and I made my own deck in master duel. It’ll be sick to have a real gimmick puppet deck.
I actually unironically bought Number cards back when I was younger because I wanted a collection and now I don't need to buy Grinder or Strings. Small win I guess.
This plays through every single handtrap because of the field spell... WTF were they thinking printing a field spell that makes all their monsters unaffected by activated effects.
Imperm can still be used (other cards will cover that), and you can still Nib your own gift monsters to prevent burn. It's not going to be easy but it's also not all doom and gloom.
This combo is not really possible becouse if you would give your opponent "CXyz Gimmick Puppet Fanatix Makina" he can use his eff to destroy one of your special summond monsters... So he would pop the link and it's over
My favorite buyout was one my friend made for fucking wish dragon. The reason why is because the last page in my binder is currently 5 wish dragons torn in half, 4 of which have "token" written on each half, and then 3 badly damaged reptile cards. The page isn't finished, I still need one more wish dragon and then to write token on each of the halves. The funniest part is that his buyout made the card go from 5 cents to 10 cents.
No one knows what a circular is now lmao. Any monster that special summons itself from the hand by any means and has a second effect in an archetype will be called a Circular.
I’m actually so happy, gimmick puppet has been my favorite DEC for many years and I’ve put a casually with friends five years ago. Really cool that I can bring it to a tournament now.
Lol I thought the same with kashtira but they hit it on release for MD I could see the exact same thing happening as this could be very consistent and lead to problems
Technically number 71 was the first searcher for rank ups, with some caveats. Also, I think konami thinks the game’s too slow rn so they need an ftk deck
