I love how when car reviewers are talking about a 4x4 it's a "tough, hard wearing interior" but when it's any other vehicle it's "hard, scratchy plastics".

The quirkiest thing in any of these vehicles is always Doug.

The tie spots on the hood are actually super helpful for anyone that ever carries stuff on the roof - tying down a kayak for example, you'll no longer have to tie to the bumper/other mount.

As a guy who drives a 1995 base model f150, that interior is practically equivalent to a rolls royce, and I can't wait until I can afford one

that wire that prevents the trees from breaking things on your car is essential for Safari cars here in Botswna. The mophane forests are not friendly to cars

Honestly, I love that the interior IS so practical as it drives me crazy when the piano black areas on dashboards get all scratched up! It’s all so “functional,” which means I won’t freak out - it looks pretty easy to clean, which makes me so happy! Can’t wait to build and order our 2023 - we are waiting for the 2022 books to close so we can get 2023 features. Thanks for this AWESOME, detailed review!😍

The dash USB should be standard for all cars given how many people run dash cams.

This is one of those cars I would never get, and don’t personally like the look of. But it’s just SO awesome to see the details they put into it AND the fact it comes in a manual. It’s so awesome.

tie downs on the hood also align with the outside of the wheel/tire so you know where they are when you are driving. Can place the vehicle better for off road, but also helps to keep it in your lane

My dad grew up on a farm and had like 8 of these in various stages of serious disrepair. He drove us around in one with all different colored panels, we called it the Rainbow Bright mobile.

Doug, those fender tie downs are made for tying down Kayaks, canoes + they are known in the 4wd community to be very useful as visual guides to aid you in judging where you are on the trail based on how to line up to the edge of the trail. Ford updated the HP and torque figures past what you quoted. 2.3 has 325lb torque with premium gas.

One of Dougs best reviews of all time. Sooo thorough. Thank you. Bronco not cheap but not Land Rover territory. Ford hits it wayyy out of the park with this vehicle. Lot of homework makes for a great ride. Now, if they can just get the suppliers to make a roof that doesn't come apart, lol, it will be the fastest selling off roader of all time. Hell, it will likely be that even with those roofs. GRAND Slam!

Was waiting for the Doug breakdown of the Bronco and it's exactly what I was hoping it would be. Going from a 10 year old Super Duty it seems like a perfect truck to downsize into

"Civilians wont know" is how I summarize every car review.

For what it's worth, those fins on the front are called Trail Sights, and while you can rope things to them, their most useful application is the knowledge that they line up exactly with the inside edge of your tires, allowing you to know exactly where your feet are on the trail.

Ford finally got a car that they can fill with as much plastic rubber as their hearts and soul desires.

Yes you can slightly recline the rear seats about 10 degrees or so. Not a huge adjustment but enough to be more comfortable for folks that do not like the fully upright seating position.

You can recline the rear seats by grabbing the levers that fold them down, pulling the chair forward, then pushing it back further. Hope that helps. I've been hearing that complaint a lot that isn't accurate

I'm a fan of the frameless windows. I've got an old Subaru, compared to the bronco the windows shake like a Chihuahua when you open the door. Don't mind a bit, they still seal up fine!

FYI the backseats do recline slightly. You pull the lever up by the shoulder.

I swear, every time Doug says in his opening monologue, “Caaaaaar’s” , And bid’s”. With both of his arms extended up in the air as far as he can. And I have been watching him open his show now for quite some time, It’s as if his arms and hands have grown and still growing.

I've found that the rear seats do have a less upright position. Release the seat-back lever, but instead of pulling the seat-back down, push it rearward. It only goes back another inch or so, but it makes a big difference.

I'd prefer cheap interior parts so when I destroy them off roading they are also cheap to replace. Your criticism of "rich" people getting on the bandwagon is on point though. Ford spent all the money on the features and less on the fit and finish, which makes complete sense to me. As always, love the video. Was really looking forward to this one. I'm torn between a lightning and a bronco right now. Can't wait to see your full lightning review!

I was lucky enough to be able to take in a bright yellow Badlands at my local Ford dealer and even my mother who is a mopar lover through and through said she liked it. I plan to order and finance a base model if I can't find one to my liking, she'll be in Velocity blue too. If I do things right, it'll be either my 1st or 2nd car. I'm hoping its my first. 😊

The "cable" tie holes on the hood, are also usable as "sights" when off roading. Also, the rear seats do recline slightly. Great review Sir!

The roof rails are removable, few torx bolts per side and they even include little body colored caps to cover where it mounts to the windshield.

My mom has the ford bronco big bend soft top 4 door and the same color as that bronco. It's very nice and we took it on a long road trip this summer and it handled very well.

The hood tie-downs will come in handy if you are hauling a canoe/kayak. I grommeted a piece of nylon to a fender bolt and flipped under the hood when I wasn't using it. This looks much nicer.

The taillight is another Bronco Easter egg. It’s a capital B. Kind of a small missed detail while saying they didn’t make a signature rear end.

I remember years ago like the mid 90s my dad got an alpine stereo that had rubberized buttons just like the bronco panels and In 2 years the buttons were worn right through. In my experience rubber buttons always wear away.

FORD just recalled Bronco again this year for front end parts replacement and wiring harness issues.

Those "tie downs" are actually the Trail Sights. They line up with the front, center of each front tire. If you see the Trail Sight, you know exactly where your front tire is. That is critical in certain situations with a big hood like this. That came in VERY handy when going off road at the Bronco Off Roadeo. BTW, Doug, you should go to the one in Vegas if you REALY want to see what a Badlands with Sasquatch, like the one you reviewed here, is really designed to do.

Love the review. Something seemed to change with the shot under the hood. It seems like an unruly mess under there. Does the upgraded engine look similar?

Besides the manual transmission, and the badlands trim, my bronco order is the same as this one and I cannot wait. Color, aux switches, hard top, etc. great to see a preview!

I've never seen Doug's camera shake so much during a driving segment of a review.
