At first I hated it because I was getting 20 minute queues, and only matches with the same 9 players over and over, but now I’m actually having good matches that are full.
I made the same mistake of not realising that over time wouldn't change, I didn't realise that people would take time to get to 6* because the mmr is more sedimented, so initially the old high 5*, 6* had to wait.
Keep in mind that it's a percentage range. Even with 5% 6 star players in a 20k player pool means you got nearly 1000 players in this bracket with varying skill that is still considered "very good".
@@Blastonite_ttv absolutely not, matchmaking is far more balanced now and everyone's mmr will be adjusted overtime by playing, some people are getting absolutely destroyed, others are managing to stay in their bracket. RachtaZ for example has been dying way more since this update dropped because he's finally playing against people of his skill level.
@@TerereRupa with as many games as rachta and these other true 6* that's the whole point of basing it off of your entire match history, so they can't stomp lower mmr lobbies. With others who get lucky AF for a couple of days then get destroyed for a week straight it's gonna keep them higher than they should be. It's going to keep higher mmr lobbies populated longer and that's what crytek wants for the 6*, and 5s who float between 6 and 5, who have complained about how long their matches take to find.
my game is stuck in a weird fluxuating mmr, where i use whatever i think is fun in the moment, do well with it because im good with just about everything, get placed 5-6 star, MOSIN MOSIN MOSIN MOSIN back down to 4-5. It sucks because im better than 4 stars, but they actually use off meta loadouts. So im stuck between stomping players worse than me using whatever i want, or getting stomped by players as good as me because they use exclusively meta picks. There arent really even fights anymore unless i want to cave in and just use a mosin only.
I took a long long break from hunt cause I got to that point. 6 star lobbies just arent fun, 5 star lobbies are great tho cause you get a mix of players but 6 stars its literally the same players and the same loadouts. Also in 6 star people are so addicted to keeping their K/D that they will legit run away to save it from going down.
Yeah, that happens with eveery game and isnt a hunt exclusive problem. Better than 4, not quite there for easily holding yourself in the rank up. I'm there with some of the fighting games i play and it ruined my mental for a while.
@@zynstein8059 I think it just happens when every game has SBMMR instead of a ranked and casual mode. every player alive is forced into the system of playing well for a game and getting grinded to a pulp the next in just about every game.
I feel like they need to add 2 extra stars to the rankings xD I feel like there is a discrepancy between me (a newly ranked 6 star) and players like Hornet of which im sure there are many
Doesnt matter if they give you 2 more stars, the end result is the exact same except the visual. You have to remember that 6 stars is almost 2k rating wide (3k to 5k)
You know sometimes in chess people use term "super GM" to show the gap between top notch players and just "very good" players. People like Hikaru or Nepo will destroy 2500 Gm although they have the same title.
My theory: Crytek updated the MMR system to send more newbs like me into games with Hornet for more YT highlights. And im here for it 😂 (for real tho 20+ min queues and empty lobbies at peak times, this new MMR is ruining the game).
I hate this new system. I’m playing hunt for 1000 hours now with a KD of 1.41 and I permanently get matched against people with 10x more gametime and double my KD. It’s really not fun getting slaughtered all day long. Will take a break till mit august patch. Till then. Take care guys ❤
joining you on this break. matchmaking is ridiculous. Also 3 of the last 4 games at peak hours -waited 10+min we were only 2 teams of 2 in a map. Fun running simulator 😂
Agreed. I’m a 5* (now occasionally 6*) with 600 hrs played. I play trios with my two friends who are 3-4 star with similar playtime. We wait 10 mins in queue during peak times (20k+ players) and every other match puts us against a full trio of 6*s who each have 3-5x the playtime of my entire trio put together.
I remember that when I started playing I was very bad and my game also ran at 20-26 FPS and I died a lot (96 kills/ 490 deaths), but now, I'm improving a lot, I'm getting at least 3 kills per game and increasing my K/D a lot, I don't know if I can get to 3 stars in the new MMR... how does it work?

They have mad the game unplayable for anyone in 6* now and its just not fun. You have to play super sweat to even stand a chance and this is not why i play hunt, if i wanted this id play CS or valorant. The game is ruined until they fix this trash.
Man that first game shows just how incredible doctor, packmule, and frontiersman are together. But how tf did you get three items from looting at 6:44? Two medkits and a consumable. I swear packmule is bugged and has been for a while.
It is insane but not in the good way. Something happened and half of my games is lobbies exclusively consist of duos. But it feels like in this situation there are less chinese software enginieers though.
I alredy played in 6* and the games were always sweaty from a Arsenal standpoint (Long Ammo only, Nitros, Avtos), but now it feels like a lot of "not 6* skilled" player are here, and the way balance this is by not moving at all, sitting at random corners of the map waiting for someone to come. My matches never lasted this long in my 4k hours of the game...
Not positive since there's no clear outline, but it seems like they've included some other stats such as kda into mmr determination isntead of purely just who killed you and who you killed.
Basically 6 is a little wider and the matchmaking is a little more selective so someone who just got into 6 isnt gonna be fighting the best player in the world
The game needs more than 6 stars, not that. But in this case, we need more players than now. Just before the matchmaking update, these 0.2% 6 stars played with themselves mostly. Now they sent 5 stars and called them 6 stars.
Matchmaking is now much much fairer IMO. I used to hover around 4 and 5 stars, with 1.45kda, and would often get matched against other 5 stars with 3+kda which was ridiculous. Now everyone that was 5 (including me) is 6 stars, but I've been getting matched only against people with 1.2 to 1.7 kda, leading to much better matches. No more sweaty tryhards going mosin/dolch or nitro/dolch every game.
Finnaly clips from your matches with skilled players and not with these 5*/ low 6* paid actors. Was waiting for the changes to matchmaking. Glad you have to play with Dealney or RachtaZ to compete against other trios. Great video. :)
What did they actually change to that „new“ MMR System? I think i didn’t really get it So are you getting matched fairer now or can’t you rank up/rank down that fast anymore or what is it actually? I am kinda curious about that
@@Akamegasimp they changed the existing system to an Open Skill Matchmaking which takes into account all your previous games to figure out what mmr u belong in and yes its hard to clim or derank and for example as a solo now you get full 6 star lobby in my case so its more fair in general now

I wish i could have the same cheating Programm like hornet. Playing with zero sway on weapons, while shooting, aiming, jumping, moving, having wallhack and knowing when teams coming miles away.. It must be fun to play like that

Mmr is better now, I'm no longer a 3 / 4 stars, ping abusers with 2 secs window to shoot you after you are no longer "there" still cheating on EU server thou
I had to quit the game after 4k hours. Its just not fun railroading players that are 6 and should be 4s on top of 15 minutes waiting for a game with 1 other team.
You're smoking crack I and all friends are 6 stars it doesn't take more than like 3 minutes even when it's 7 am . I see people from 1.5-4.0 kda in the games . So unless your better than that, this whole comment is satire .

The new 6* is not great, you're playing probably against 4* and can wipe full lobbies faster than you do with actual 6*. I mean still great video as always but MMR is shit rn
