Well we see her forte. Now we see why she's always noting down things last episode. Akane's very good at analysis and getting into character and apparently fade to the back with no prior analysis and a character to get into, that scene give me chills

Fun fact: akane form of acting might recognize people as method acting/becoming one with the character(christian bale,gary oldman, heath ledger) but it's the stanislavski theatre method/experiencing thru acting

10:26 "chooses to not protect a kid" is to put it lightly. Both of them are aware that the director actively put Akane in harm's way with what the show did (and didn't do). That's why with a little push he folded and gave up the footage so easily. Aqua really knows how to deal with people his age.

Just for you to know, in this manga (no spoilers) it is explained that eyed stars reflects the ability to "lie" or to "make people to believe in what you want". In spectacle this is considered as a key talent. This is not hereditary (as many would think) but it reflects sheer talent. The difference between black and white stars are the motivations and intentions (well represented in aqua). In the case of Ai, white stars reflected her desire to love and to feel loved (said by herself) while dark stars reflected the way she felt with herself, because she though that lying people made her a despicable person.

Reality shows are more show than reality. They're a product, like a car, dog food, or paper towels. Manufactured drama is what most people watch for. They exist to make money, and if they actually entertain anyone, well that's just a bonus. One of the things that stood out to me was the idea that playing a character gives a person a bit of a buffer to criticism, but if you're being yourself, it's you who's being attacked. Makes total sense. Anyone who has lost someone to suicide can probably understand Yuki with the slap. Why would you not talk to me, how could you not understand how guilty I'd feel for not being able to help or even knowing, how could you think that I'd be better off without you, did you not care how hurt I'd be? Yuki is angry, but it's because she genuinely cares about Akane. Aqua leaked the info to use as leverage to get the footage that the producers hid in order to shape a narrative and distort what really happened. Also, I'm kind of staring to love MEM-cho. The bit where her succubus-like wings and tail popped out was too funny. she's calculating and got super excited to be able to use her skills to help Akane.

To be honest, this episode messed me up something fierce. Just the amount of attention drawn to the fact that most people are in fact kind… actors included. Like they care about her. This episode is very valuable to me

They did cut and stop rolling, but fixed cameras don't have a person right there so they keep rolling until someone walks over and turns them off.

I notice now, after watching the episode for the 4th time, but the voice actors for this series are insane. They do such a great job man. 👌

When Aqua was talking to the director of the show, he wasn't appealing to his humanity to get what he wanted. He was threatening him under the guise of appealing to his humanity. "Of course you can't release the raw footage. Then people would know the footage was intentionally edited to make the girl who just tried to commit suicide the villain. People would get mad at the show." Then, when he didn't seem to be getting it, he made it him aware that the public might hold him personally responsible when he rhetorically asked, "What kind of adult wouldn't protect a child?"

At that moment, Aqua felt like he's seeing a ghost.

13:19 dawn of a legendary moment

Although the devastating conclusion of the first episode drew me into this series, I enjoy the slice of life moments. They do a good job of making you care about the characters and you want to see their happiness. I love Kana and Akane, and I want Aqua to find more to life than seek revenge. Sure, the heavy moments like the last episode add impact and importance to the show, but at the same time, I don’t want anything bad to further occur to these characters.

To be fare in manga her last guess was that ai might had child but it was cut in anime

I was a bit worried for her at the end with how in-depth she went into the research, thought it was a death flag for her possibly coming across something bad.

Aikane is honestly kinda scary.

The cyberbullying still happens, because you have to actually sue them. But who's going to sue millions of people?

This series is... Well, ignoring the fluff from episode 2 to 5, it seems to be picking up again. I'm glad. It seems they've cut out the fluff stuff and began focusing on the deeper more interesting themes. Episode 6 and onward, I hope this level of quality is maintained. I have high expectations, riding off episode 1. I'm glad that Aqua isn't opening up to anyone, as his main reason for being alive is seeking vengeance and protecting Ruby, from what I've seen. He has no personal incentive to open up to people unless it's to benefit himself. Overall, congrats, Oshi No Ko. You've drawn me in again.
