it's honestly a crime they are limiting this to one unit, this car is just way too gorgeous to be kept away. I hope this body style somehow translates into the ~regular~ astons. Screw it just throw it on the vantage body, it'd be sick.

Aristeidis Kypriotis it’s lovely, to be sure. But I think you’re missing the mark a bit. The old V8s looked liked an American ponycar, a really hot one like a COPO Camaro or a Boss 429 Mustang that went to Oxford. This to me just looks like an Aston with round headlights. Like I said. It’s lovely. But I miss the Aston muscle cars.

Strongly disagree unfortunately. Most of Aston’s designs in the past four have been incredibly generic, save of course for the almighty Valkyrie, in my opinion. I have no doubt they have contributed to the dire financial situation Aston has found itself in (which was coming way before COVID).

@@MrAlpinab7 I love the DBS. I think it's visually sublime. I like this but I don't think it's as elegant and flowing as the DBS or even the Vantage. It's a bit too busy and lacking in identity. It looks a bit like an Merc SL65 AMG crossed with a modern Mustang. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

3:40 On an F1 car, the wooden plank is used to determine that no car is producing more downforce than what is specified in the regulations. More the downforce, more the erosion of the wooden plank (in the form of visible sparks at the back of the car). At the end of the race, they actually measure its thickness to determine the amount of erosion.

I hope some wealthy clients see this and convince Aston to build a few more. It would be a shame if this is the only one built. If I had the money, Id order one. I don't need the massive 836 horsepower. About 650-700 hp would be more than adequate. I love the manual transmission. Thanks.

I've just spent the last half hour discovering Bridge of Weir Leather! It's half an hour from my front door and I knew nothing about it! The famous cars that they've supplied, the ocean liners, the Houses of Lords and Commons, the airlines! It's nuts! A 100-odd year old company like that on my doorstep and I had no idea! Victor Gauntlet really rescued Aston Martin back in the 80's and when the Callum Brothers arrived in the 90's they set the new styling ethos alight with the DB7. They've really gone from strength to strength ever since.

The manual transmissions in the old Vantages were described as "agricultural", but in a good sense, as they were estimated to easily handle 1000 horsepower; good that this one or any other super/hype car also has a manual, as it will keep the wankers from being able to drive it.

Its actually a sort of reminiscense of a former Aston Martin. The Aston Martin Vantage V8, which looks, in fact, a bit like a first gen mustang fastback.
