I wish I could. I think Benchmade didn't send many of these out to dealers, so at the moment we're all out of them. They also don't seem to be in stock anywhere.

This happens occasionally on OTFs, and while I'm not sure of your specific issue, it can sometimes be remedied with a small amount of oil and compressed air into the internals. If your action feels sluggish this may be the case.

Depends on if you are fine with sharpening your knives. Cru-wear steel has great edge retention, but not the best. Cardboard dulls knives quickly, so if you know how to touch up an edge, it will be an excellent choice. But if you're cutting a LOT of boxes, I honestly recommend a simple box cutter with replaceable blades.

Minimal blade play. About the same as the Infidel. So light and just a tad bigger that a bugout, this is now my new EDC.

It does have quite a bit of blade play on both axes. It was hard to get used to, at first. Honestly though, it is the only trade-off I can find for the weight and the OTF action. Totally worth it, IMHO as I now have sufficient tolerance for it and it hasn't affected the performance in any real way for me.

Not entirely sure yet. I would have to tinker a bit to find out.

There is some, but it's minimal and compares fairly close to other OTF's.

You could also buy 10 moras and go out to a nice dinner too. This is something people want, we all know how much money things go for people out there are looking for something like this and don’t mind paying for it. It’s a super light weight, high quality otf that’s symmetrical and has cruwear blade. That’s a home run to me.

There is a little bit of blade play I wasn't thrilled about, and I'm less thrilled I completely forgot to address it in the video. Thanks for asking though

All OTF's have wiggle except for the Deadlock. You cant get rid of it.

Pale in comparison? Lmfao, are you for real? I’m betting you’re an Axial rep of some kind. The only otf that is better than Microtech is the G&G Deadlock, but it costs a lot more. The only otf that is on par with Microtech is Guardian Tacticals Recon series. Axial is probably comparable to the Benchmade otf’s as far as build quality goes, and it does have a decent blade material, but so does every other brand mentioned. Better than Microtech though? Not even close.

@@TheBigToe69 You'd be wrong betting I'm a knife rep. I'm simply a collector. Until very recently I collected nothing but OTFs. I own two Deadlocks (one model B and one model C), and several OTF models from each of the manufacturers you mentioned. I'd put Guardian Tactical above Microtech along with the Axial Shift. Everything Microtech does feels cheap IMO. From the awful billboarding logos on the blades to their crappy proprietary screws, I just don't see the value at the prices they're currently asking ($300+). A wharncliffe Shift in 20CV is $230. Not sure how you could argue that it's not a better value at that price point. For what it's worth, I just received my Shootout a few days ago. While I like it, the handles feel cheap. "CF Elite" = plastic, let's face it, and I'm not a huge fan of coated blades. I'll use and carry it for sure, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it to someone over a Shift. Why not get a stonewashed 20CV blade and aluminum handles for $40 less?
