My local gun store has one, the trigger was horrible (i think that's why they had it for so long) I took a chance and bought it. found that the trigger bar was scrubbing the back side of the grip. a half a turn on the right side upper grip screw and now the trigger is awesome!!

Beretta needs to just license LTT and bring them in. Their optics mount is silly when compared to what Ernest has done. It's useless and now prevents them from working on them to add their mount. I love my 92s, and Beretta, but they just don't care enough about the US market to do what they need to do. They did right by the Cheetah, except not making it in 9mm. There's no way that gun couldn't house 10 to 12 plus 1 if a 365 and hellcat can.

I bought one. Felt the trigger was worse that a standard $500 92x I also own. I dry fired it 250x to see if the trigger improved. It didn’t. My mag button was so stiff I needed 2 fingers to push it in at first. I worked it 250 x’s and it improved but not much. I assume too thick coat of cerakote. The safety comes up 25% over the slide serrations. I found it difficult to pull the slide back. The shadow of the slide gives you less surface area as it is normally. But with the safety covering 25% of the serrations I found it easier to charge from the front of the slide. Very disappointed in the gun . I resold my gun without shooting it. I felt it was a dog for 2x what a 92x costs.

4.2lbs single action is what i expected, my 92X performance would pull at roughly that when stock (92X performance uses the same X-treme S fire control group but with a semi-flat trigger that doesn't disable the double action like the SAO straight trigger does), you lose maybe .2 lbs with break in at most in a couple thousand rounds from my experience a simple competition spring kit (12lbs hammer spring, reduced power trigger spring, reduced power trigger bar spring and reduced power sear spring) will drop that down to 2lbs 8-10oz, but the firing pin block is *really* holding the 92 trigger back, the FPB and it's spring add ~6-8oz to the trigger and add more unwanted travel, also for some bizzare reason i guess beretta didn't give it the match hammer (removes about 1-2 mm of single action takeup) for some reason, just like they forgot to on the 92XP... the 92 series trigger could be absolutely amazing without a firing pin block and a hammer with the right geometry to eliminate most of the take up but beretta just hasn't given us that sadly...

What is that on the side of the trigger? Oil? When you take it for a spin please check for play on the muzzle. The ultimate would be a comparison to the 92X performance. If you want to change the grips, be extremely cautious cause they are ultra thin near the safety. Not a fan of cerakote looking at the M9A3 finish. I hope they'll make full stainless steel models (inox) again. The nickel based finish on the 92X perf. seems to hold up. I wish that flat triggers wouldn't get so wide. I need to get around it a bit and at least rounded corners would be nice. Any frame mounted safety 92 series is interesting and if the accuracy is there, even more so. The box, only 2 mags is meh. EDIT: I'd like an DAO offering...almost none around.

I have this new Berreta 92XI SAO. I was very disappointed with it. Being an owner of several Berettas and other fine firearms such as the Wilson Combat 92, Beretta 92X Performance, tons of 1911’s, Walthers, Kimber, Bul Armory, Kimbers and so on… This is the cheapest Beretta I ever felt. I’m not sure because of it being made in Tennessee but the parts feel cheap. For instance the mag release is plastic, the magazines are not Mec-Gar mags, the base pads of the mags feel like it where to hit the floor it would break. The sites of thin plastic and the fiber option barely get bright in day time. The Cerakote finish can scratch with your finger nail. If you put the gun in a Kaydex holster it will surely scratch the finish very quickly. For a limited edition $1200 pistol … its honestly the worst Beretta I ever purchased for the highest price. I have a Taurus PT99-AF and it much height quality than this . The trigger is super sloppy. I can’t believe Beretta made this gun. Save your money and get the Wilson Combat or Langdon. Don't know if Beretta 92 pistols are "over-hyped" e.g. from being in the Lethal Weapon films to various YT gun channels who are fans of.....mushy triggers and all. Is the open top slide just a gimic?? e.g. "less stove pipes". Others coaim becasue the slide is open it's more prone to letting in debris which seems logical yet there is no proof of tht either. No ex-LEO or MIL SF guys have complained about the 92 jamming easily ...shrug.... So many other production guns come with decent quality triggers for the same or less money e.g. the CANIK's, Glocks are okay, S&W M&P's...etc.....none come with mushy triggers or make you feel the need to immedialy swap in an aftermarket trigger kit...guys that do just want a "different feel" e.g in a Glock....not because the trigger feel is "bad". Admit the only reason i was intersted in Beretta 92's years ago is because of the Lethal Weapon films (NO I 'm not one of those tuys that beleives a real life defensive scenario is just like in the film ...of course NOT DUH....why I donm't CCW)...

After 200 rounds, I swore it took off about a half lbs off the trigger pull. It's breaking in very quickly. Te reset as almost LTT, but not quite. Not bad at all.. @@MDpolo honestly the ambi safety are super huge causing the safety to dig into a certain part of my thumb causing me to alter my grip every time I fire the gun

This appears to be a 92X RDO (not the performance model) with the differences being the frame mount safety (instead of the decocker mine has), wood grips, flat style trigger and finished in silver instead of black. I was hoping it had a stainless steel slide, not just coated. If it does I missed that part so far. Ah tbe same old cheap plastic guide rod too. Beretta sells a metal one but it is not steel... rather some aluminum material I'd guess although they told me the material is "Proprietary". Regarding the SIG 226 SAO, I have a standard MK25 that I installed the SIG SRT trigger kit in. It has the shortest reset of any pistol I've handled. It could be tuned lighter but it is light enough as is. In the end the only real thing this Xi version offers over the 92x I have is the frame mounted safety and a 4 to 5 hundred dollar price jump. The rest of the parts you can get from Beretta, Langdon or Wilson Combat. I don't doubt this is a nice pistol though.

This seems like a step backwards and has no purpose? The 92x performance is amazing and it also had double action. The trigger is amazing. I don't see the point of this gun being in existence?

I’ve had mine for over a month now and I’m totally disappointed. My trigger pulls at 6 pounds. I don’t know where you’re getting your four 4 1/2 pound estimate. If you pulled it with a gauge your gauge is off because my trigger is heavy. And Beretta doesn’t even send you a manual the case is anemic Two magazines I paid $1100. I think Brett is making some really bad decisions lately. Several of their regards I’ve had a been very disappointing anyway I’m gonna probably put a Wilson combat spring kit in mine if that doesn’t help the trigger it’s going to get sold totally disappointed. And the grip they could get scratched so easy and they don’t make grips to fit this yet. It is the vertex style but it’s longer than normal, my grips from my 92X performance fit it but they come about half an inch too short. I’ve been working with lok grips to try and get that resolved. They need to come up with a new group for this gun.

It better buying the 92x performance instead. But i ended buying the 92x instead cheaper and better than this guy. And once i replace the hammer spring with 13lb spring feelS HEAVEN AND 500 CHEAPER AND ONLY $6 FOR upgrades.😅😅😅

I gotta be honest for $1,200, I would argue you would be better off just buying a Beretta M9A1, because you can get that for $650-700, which is $500 less. THEN you can do In the following: 1) Send in your slide to get milled by Langdon Tactical for their version of the optic cut which is VASTLY superior for $370 2) Buy a Langdon Tactical Optimized Performance trigger bar for $75 3) Spend $25 to buy the Wilson Combat Deluxe spring upgrade kit (either Duty or Competition springs) 3.5) Spend $15 on the MCARBO spring kit and use the last $12 for a stainless steel guide rod from them (MCARBO has better value than WC) 4) Spend $40 on a WC magazine release button In total you could find yourself spending $10 more for all of this during an upgrade project on a Beretta M9A1 if not another $70 more due to new grips, as well as the labor for a new trigger job that's DIY, but holy fuck I think it's a far better way to spend $1.2K in my opinion, and ultimately end up with a better gun all around. That being said I'm not gonna shit on the 92XI too much, it is a looker but I'd personally only get it if I was bored of my other Berettas (I'm not)
