THE NEW BMW M2 | What is it like? (2023) 4K 

Get rid of all that cheap looking M carbon parts(except for the front carbon air box).. replace it with an aftermarket lip kit from AutoID, TRE, etc.. give the M2 a slight drop and the M2 completely transforms how it looks.

Mine is currently getting built and will arrive in September , ive gone for the Toronto Red with all black wheels and thats it! Yes the New shape and looks of this car is to each individuals taste but i personally like it and it will only grow on me (i think lol), however that body kit looks cheap and horrible and does the car no favours on promotion!, i see this as the last of the pure breed M cars that will be built and that is why ive bought one

the structural rigidity of those side fins is so poor, you can see them shaking at every bump. not worth the extra cash

Matt,,,,you've waited a long time! In one word...PERFECTION! Absolutely every aspect and detail is Perfection! ...Almost! Your car has too many carbon 'fins' and kit on it. As for the exhausts i was told of someone specification with almost all options hitting over £95k! Ouch! Starting at £68k+ [ i would go for white and dual wheels...different! In my dreams! ...... Your review is 'spot on'! Exactly...this is the everyday M car. [And yes you could drive it to Sainsbury's for the weekly shop!] I swear i could write an essay about the design and the design ethos... Imagine what the M Division has up it's sleeve if/when a Competition or CS arrives as the M2 swan song. So to conclude, yes Perfection! BMW have nailed it 100% ,,,,,, And yet thr sensible side would go for a M240.... Matt, thank you again. Well worth the wait. Your smile speaks volumes.

The performance parts help to mask some of the design failures, but it is still one of the worst looking BMW's on the road.

Loved the video. My car is built and on route from Mexico. It is Brooklyn grey with the same seats as the car in the video, plus I’m adding the dealer fit M Performance gold alloys, carbon roof fin, rear spoiler and mirrors. The rest of the carbon kit doesn’t appeal to me. I’ve spent the last 2 days with my dealers M2 demo which is a manual. In my opinion the manual gearbox spoils the car. Gearchange is rubbery and not satisfying, plus it is very low geared. I’m delighted I have an auto coming soon.

Hi Matt, thank you for a very enlightening road test. I have owned my M2 for exactly two weeks and although it's my dream car, having owned a M240i (old shape), M2 (old shape) and m240i (new version), in terms of looks and pretty much everything else. However, from my very first drive the steering feels very "loose" and not at all planted to the road. Having driven cars for over fifty years this M2 doesn't fill me with confidence. Do you think I'm over thinking it and I will get used to it as currently I'm very cautious going through corners. Any comments would be gratefully received as I just love my car so want someone experienced to put my mind at rest. Thanks

It’s ugly and that body kit makes it look even worse. As a current m2c owner, I’d like to test drive this but have absolutely no plans to change.

Its like a small M3, just as heavy, numb steering, sterile to drive, sounds like an angry refrigerator at full throttle

Looks tacky and cheap and ridiculously overpriced! The reason why people look at it coz it looks ridiculous
