I know it's been a little rough for you lately . But, you don't know how much this makes me smile to see Roxanne's wide hips a movin' and to know that there will be some awesome videos coming this spring and summer.
What's good bruh?!?! Glad to see you back with new videos.. I subbed because you're a cool brother in Texas pulling those crappies out the water.. I plan to do the same here in Georgia.. I love your videos so much that I went back and looked at a lot of the old ones.. Your boat rocks!! I have a 1995 Stratos 285XL Pro (blue/grey) as my first boat and it's not in half as good a shape as yours, but I'm using it as a project boat.. It floats and puts me on the fish!! I'm going to re-carpet her, and replace the motor soon (likely before Spring).. Keep putting out the great content, and thanks for being an inspiration to those of us in this fishing game!! Tight lines!!
Hey Crappie Head, Roxxane sho looking good out there on the water. The speed was nice 👌 that Yamaha is running great. You look happy. Tell the boys hello. Catfish Girl channeling off.
I have a 1991 Stratos 295pro with a 2006 Mercury 200 optimax on it. Love my Stratos. Low 70s empty and 66mph fully loaded with tournament load and 2 people.
Thank you need to play with the Jack plate a bit you still weren't running totally on the pad. I had a 1997 285 Pro Elite with a 150 Johnson Fast Strike and I could get 64 on a good day.
Man I am struggling with the decision to install a new outboard on my boat or just get a new boat. My first boat was a 15ft Skeeter with a 90hp Mercury. I purchased it used from a boat mechanic and I had no idea that Mercury was to much for that boat. That boat was rated for a max 60hp. It ran like a scalded dog with that Mercury. Only later on when I learned about boats did I figure out what had happen. That Yammie looks so sweet on your rig. You just made my decision even harder.
Man that's crazy. My first boat was an 80s 15' skeeter with a 90 mercury tower of power inline 6.😂😂😂 now I have a 18' astro with an mercury xr6 150 that I know does over 60mph and it doesn't feel as fast as that ol skeeter.Im thinking its cause of the comfort of the big boat. Its like doing a 100 in a Cadillac vs 80 in a old Toyota Camry. The Camry just feels faster listening to the rpms and body shaking.I would love to know how fast that skater was going!
@@nunu6158 I know what you mean I had a old Kingfisher 20 footer with a 200 Suzuki on it it did over 70 but cut the water like butter. But the G forces on that Suzuki pulled so hard you felt the power I bet that mercury you got got some real good torque
Okay, put some high octane fuel 100 octane. Can Go with a 2-blade 24 pitch racing prop. Careful of RPM's. One thing, raise that motor up about 3", and tighten up bolts, and keep it in that position. Should you stay at that., you can also put a raker racing prop. experiment with pitches till you get right. With that said, with everything done above, you should get about 67mph tops... Also trimming that motor up 10 degrees when running wide open will also help. Careful not to lose steering, watch temp guage.
You need to raise your motor up when you are in idling in the water because the exhaust is making bubbles in the water exhaust needs to be lifted out of the water
i have a 17 and a half foot, 1989 rainbow, bass boat. i built a 2.6 litre, carb, v6 yamaha and put it on it. im using a solid hub,24 pitch, clever prop. not sure how fast it goes, speedo only goes to 70mph. motor turns the prop,6400rpm. seems a little fast for this boat.
Get u a 4 blade 25p u should push 5100 rpm and hit 64-65 with a merc trophy it what I have on my yammy 150 18’ ranger r82 might get a little more with a fury
Find your sweet spot on the jack plate bump up a lil more get more lift where you r ridding on pad I think she got more good lock but most of all B Safe
