I am in Boracay right now for 3 months. There is still a tremendous amount of construction going on, which is especially disruptive to the main road along Boracay. This main road is only mostly completed just past the D Mall. From just past the D Mall to the City Mall is a very rough patch of still non paved road. However, there is clearly improvement in the overall situation. No more plastic bottles or straws. I had not seem a paper straw for about 50 years before I got here this time. Also, the sidewalks are greatly improved with beautiful individual brick sidewalks. Overall, there is great improvement, but still a great deal to complete.

I like how Mike just looks at Boracay! To me, it's not just the beautiful beach, it's the whole package, the places to go around and eat. If you're looking for a pristine place, this is not the place, but still fun and beautiful nevertheless.

Welcome to my corner of the Philippines! I wish you guys could've seen it back in the 80s when I first went to Boracay. Virgin island, no electricity, someone from every resort would come to shore at dusk and light torches, and bioluminescent microorganisms would make your footsteps glow on the shore and around you when you go night swimming!
You guys should explore the whole island. There are literally endless things to try there and plenty of not so known, not so touristy locations along the island itself!

Guys if you ever have the chance to go to Amanpulo in the Pamilakan group of islands thats between Panay and Palawan. probably the most expensive but one of the most beautiful resorts in the world... royalties and hollywood celebrities vacation there... visit that place... for sure your gonna love that place look it up here in youtube as well !!!
Definately better than before, but id rather go to other untouched islands. For me boracay really need to heal itself for a while. Although, its bad for the locals for the mean time but in the long run its good for them.
True but at the end of the day, it's really thr locals that will benefit from the clean up. Hopefully the clean up will make people more environmentally conscious and realize that with the destruction of the island means losing their livelihood too.
I miss Boracay in the old days...its in the 90s when i first set foot to Boracay Island and I remember some foreign tourists sunbathing in the beach topless and i was kinda shocked coz for them its just a normal thing haha its really paradise back then coz its not too crowded and no buildings or huge hotels there yet....but Boracay is still my favorite beach in the whole world.😍
Fun vlog. Nice hotel! Soooo glad you made it in time to capture the sunset on the ocean! To me it is very satisfying to watch in person a sunset on the ocean and watching on video is the next best thing so thank you for capturing the sunset! Cheers! 👍👍😎

I think the best way to remember how to pronounce Boracay properly is to put stress on the second syllable...boRAcay...normally that is how filipino words are read...most, i would say....like the word, Mabuhay....we say maBUhay....again, stress is on the second syllable....im sure you will come to learn all these once your stay in the Philippines will become permanent....yayyyyy....more Making it Happen!!!!. Wow! Awesome Boracay! Awesome video! I was there back in December 1999. I was thirsty and went inside a bar to get a bottle of San Miguel beer. To my surprise I realized that I was the only non German customer in that bar. That beer was so good and thirst quenching!
The new boracay looks nice. I've seen pictures of what the island looked like back in the 70s. My dad was there as a backpacker. He said it was the most beautiful island he's ever been and met a lot of the friendly locals.
Worcation sounds better Mike. Its like stay cation which means having a vacation at home or within the the city limits. Time to relax and chill you deserve it guys. You work very hard to give us good vlogs everyday. How about para sailing? You will have a fantastic view just like a drone shot. By the way I told this to George and Lucy please check out "amanpulo". It's kinda pricey but highly recommended. Just in case. I am sure you will love it. 🏝️😎🙏

We have relatives who live, LIVE, in Bo-RA-cay (emphasis on the second syllable). They eat, sleep, work, meet clients, do business, and everything else in shorts and flipflops! They never need to wear long pants and closed shoes!

I hope you could visit Amanpulo in Palawan.Lots of Hollywood and local celebrities been there already...though its a bit pricey compared to other tourist destinations.But price is nothing when you can have the best of the best. And besides,you're a celebrity already..so,you are in!
